Review 1：I wish some of the room's interior design/decorum and furnishings were more in keeping with the historic character of the building, instead of inexpensive modern... just me. Some noise at night from neighboring bar or pizza place (?) where people stood outside smoking and carrying on til midnight or later.

Review 2：Location in the heart of historic area. Magical location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Desk person even carried my very heavy bag up the steep stairs, because my back was messed up. Breakfast very good, with nice atmosphere.

Review 8：Fantastic location! Close, but quiet. Well-connected by buses. Wifi worked well, maybe a tad slow. Excellent breakfast with tons of great options and plenty of food so you don't feel bad taking so much :)

Review 9：If you arrive after 6 the door is shut, and no one answers. You have to go to the next door bar and have them let you in and get your key. If you don't already have a reservation, you can't get a room. This wasn't explained anywhere I could see, so I had to wander around for awhile until I asked at the next door bar what to do. Had the bar been closed, I would have been out of luck to get into my room.

Review 16：The location of the hotel is the main advantage, it is very near the city center and Bamberg's main attractions. The rooms are OK, they are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good. Staff was very friendly, specially the girl at the front desk and the man at breakfast. I would recommend this hotel when staying at Bamberg.

Breakfast was very nice, and could easily be augmented (not particularly necessary) with a visit to the bakery across the street and/or the deli next door. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant was EXCELLENT, with humorous and very upbeat waitstaff.

Review 22：If you are in Bamberg on either a Friday or Saturday night you need to reserve at restaurants in advance! We had a hard time finding a place to eat.

Review 26：We loved everything about this corky hotel. Friendly staff, large comfortable room for us and our two little children. The breakfast was good and the location perfect - right around the corner from the historic sites and famous breweries. The hotel is also decorated very uniquely.

Review 31：Free WiFi but poor signal meant it was all but unusable in the room. There was building work taking place opposite the hotel and it was very noisy from 6 am but the hotel cannot be blamed for that.

Review 34：Its well situated in old town. Nice breakfast. We had a 3 bed room wich was spacious, but the toilet was separate from bathroom, which can be good in some situations and bad in others. The hotel is in a old house so its beautiful details inside. We came to early but could leave our bags in the hotel before check in.

Review 35：Breakfast not great; The worst problem was that there are no staff in the hotel after 8pm. Should you have an emergency - or need something late at night, there's simply nobody there. There were a variety of numbers available for you to ring - some in the bedroom and one on the front door. We tried all of them - only one answered and, even though we had dialled the number correctly, the person at the other end claimed to know nothing about the hotel. I wouldn't stay there again.

Review 37：No wifi reception in the room in my 2nd floor room. No ventilation when it is hot. If you open the window at night, it can get very loud because the hotel is so central. If you leave it closed, it gets really stuffy and hot in summer. My bed and pillow are also not comfortable, I woke up with bad pain.

Review 39：My wife and I stayed at Hotel Weierich for two nights as we exploredand enjoyed this wonderful city. This hotel could not have a betterlocation...two blocks from the Altes Rathaus, 5 minutes from the domand right in the middle of the Altstat. The hotel was constructed inthe 1300s and has a beautiful spiral staircase and the common areasreflect this nostalgic flair. Bedrooms were updated and spacious forEuropean standards, but nothing special. We were given a suite that hada double bed in the main room and a twin the in extra bedroom. I hadbooked only a double bed on booking.com. The staff was veryaccommodating and friendly. The free breakfast had many options and onemorning the waiter asked if we had any special request as he walked tothe bakery across the street to get some "Bambergcroissants". My wife and I fell in love with this city and it isdefinitely a place we both hope to return.

It is possible to 'book' a car parking space with prior arrangement with the hotel but the there is a car height restriction of 1.5 metre.Other Car parks are,a good walk away from the hotel ,public and not secure.Cost for 24hrs.8 euro [2014] or if you want to be a bit nearer the hotel..16e.for 24hrs.[2014].A car park opposite the hotel [not 24 hrs.] at least gives an opportunity to unload your baggage. We arrived in the morning but our room wasn't availabe until 15hrs.I guess she was busy but I didn't feel the receptionist was very welcoming.She seemed 'put out' that the she had no record of us cancelling the arranged car space..We left our luggage and went out!

Review 103：Well, came to the confirmed Hotel Weirich which was closed and under renovation, however helpful people directed me to the alternatie property which strangely enough had not been communicated by Booking.com! So all well but would be good to arrive at the correct property expecially when you come late in the evening with a taxi!

Review 104：This hotel was the best hotel that we stayed at during our most recent trip. Everything exceeded expectations - from the location (close to the famous Rathaus) to the staff to the room. The room itself was large and very comfortable. The breakfast offered had a decent variety. Overall, we had an excellent stay and we would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Bamberg.

Review 120：If you want the Hilton, do not come here. If you do want an enjoyable stay in a friendly family-run hotel with a quirky sense of humour and design, then you will have a good time. I stumbled on this hotel many years ago while lost in Frankonia, and couldn't have ended up anywhere better. Bamberg is a nice old-fashioned relaxed town, and this hotel compliments the atmosphere very well.I keep returning to the area on holiday every couple of years as a result. The rooms are a nice size and are comfortable, and the decoration of the hotel is very unique, though the knight in a suit of armour seems to have disappeared somewhere.
