Reviews for Emmerich Hotel Görlitz

Review 1:I thought breakfast should have been included in the price.

Review 2:Beautifully appointed two year old restored ancient building. decor modern and elegant, with new high end finishing. Windows block noise and wind very well all systems were efficient. Staff was friendly and helpful. One of the nicest hotels I've been to.

Review 3:Absolutly No1 hotell with a mix of old and new design, charming! Our Tommy, nr 11, was so elegant with al the small windows and the square in front. Breakfast delisius and attractive. We will for sure be back.

Review 4:A few dark hairs on the white bedsheet, otherwise everything was great!

Review 5:The design is superb! Breakfast just perfect! Great location and the view out of the window on the old city!

Review 6:Amazing breakfast, perfect location in a lovely town. You could not ask for a more central location in one of the main town squares which is impossibly beautiful. The hotel is very high quality, artistically designed and the best breakfast I can remember.

Review 7:No one in this town spoke English. It was not a big deal until you realized that doing anything touristy became quite challenging.

Review 8:Coming from an uncomfortable accommodation from the previous night, this hotel was like a gift sent from heaven. The interior of the room was pretty sleek and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and even though there was no air con and it was hot outside, the room was still pretty cool.

Review 9:i do not want to have this understood as real critizism, but two things would have made the stay even more perfect. as the wonderful rooms invite to stay in them, it would be great to have a kettle or some facility to make hot drinks (cold drinks are available from a fridge near reception including the excellent local beer). second is the bed - it is a double bed which is composed of two single ones and it is a bit annoying to wind up being in the trench between the two during the night. but this hotel is an absolute must to stay in when in the area

Review 10:a wonderful pearl of a hotel in a magnificent town. we arrived late when reception was already closed and everything was organized in a splendid way (keys were left in the adjacent restaurant). i usually do not rate breakfasts, but sitting in this great breakfast hall and start the day there is absolutely worth

Review 11:Wifi was a problem but got it sorted eventually and fridge did not work. No air con or fan. Terrible water pressure. Shower is a bit pathetic despite looking good. Lack of reception after 6pm is a bit annoying. Came back one night to find a piece of furniture had been removed. Very odd and not professional. There was no one around to check why (reception closed) and on check out they could not understand me. Never mind. Breakfast was a bit frustrating as quite small for the amount of guests. It seemed like people were coming from another hotel for their breakfast and they couldn't quite cope. I think they have a sister property nearby that use the breakfast room.

Review 12:Amazing huge room. Great location. Very well appointed room with chairs and a sofa and even a desk. Huge bathroom. Surprisingly quite even though on noisy square. Double glazing really works. Except for Saturday night when there was a live rock band outside in the square. Even bricking up the windows entirely wouldn't have blocked out that racket. But that's what you get for being in the middle. Buffet breakfast looked amazing. Very well presented and some unusual cheeses. but quite expensive at €12,50

Review 13:Only a couple of very minor things: my wife says there were no coat hangers suitable for hanging up dresses; and the toilet seat was unbelievably uncomfortable - it looked good but was awful to sit on!

Review 14:Location - we splashed out on a room with a view of the town square. We would recommend you seriously consider it too if one is available. Very attractive room and bathroom with fabulous shower. Quiet room despite the town centre location.

Review 15:WIFI could be better, and tea/coffee-making facilities in the room would have been nice.

Review 16:Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable room.

Review 17:We loved the remodel of the old Mayor's house right on the main square. The rooms are big and interesting. The breakfast was excellent and the service was also superb. I think the hotel sees mostly German tourists but they were lovely with us Americans. Goerlitz is gorgeous even in the dead of January.

Review 18:I accepted the exposed red brick of the bedroom walls. I did not expect exposed grey concrete in the bedroom ceiling! This seemed out of character with the rest of the hotel.

Review 19:Enjoying a leisurely breakfast in a tastefully arranged dining-room looking out on the lower market square.

Review 20:Not a thing.

Review 21:The room was excellent, large and beautifully designed. The breakfast buffet had much to choose from and was excellent value. The hotel accommodated our late arrival even though their office normally closes at 6.30 pm.

Review 22:Departing was sweet sorrow.

Review 23:We liked absolutely everything. From the moment we walked in the front door of this astonishingly beautiful and tastefully done establishment. Wonderful staff. All of them. Kind and helpful, and fun, beyond all reason. We had "Room L, with Old Town View," as Booking describes it accurately. Except it is a huge, really huge, suite with very simply the best view of Untermarkt, which is the very best part of this gorgeous small city. We cancelled our reservation for the next night in Erfurt to stay on here. This was an extremely happy decision. Go way out of your way to enjoy this fine city and stay in this wonderful hotel. Give it at least two nights. (We will return here soon, so please don't tell anyone about this great find.)

Review 24:A bit long waiting to check out, the same parson working to clean after breakfast and in reception. Early time to check out, breakfast till 10 am and checking out time also till 10 am. Could be a bit longer ( for example 11 am) to eat breakfast on Sunday not in hurry. At night we did not sleep till 3 am, because of noices (music) from other place - party

Review 25:Hotel is very good placed, just in centre, very nice decorated with taste, big, comfortable room. Big choice for breakfast. Big parking very close to the hotel (5 Eur per day). We had a very nice stay in Gorlitz, the hotel we really do reccomend.

Review 31:Excellent location, clean, newly renovated

Review 32:all!really. It was very very nice!
