Reviews for Hotel Jägersruh

Review 1:Initial reception a bit rough, not unfriendly, but just not very welcoming - then, they cheered up

Review 2:The superb dinner with some of the best meat (beef filet melting on your tongue) we've ever eaten. Their beer (draught Warsteiner or Bitburger) is superb with this kind of dinner.

Review 3:For the reason I visited the area there was nothing to dislike.

Review 4:Staff were very friendly. The hotel is about 45 minutes from the Grand prix circuit and is therefore ideally placed (but you need a good map/satnav!) and is very close to Monchau, which is a beautiful town

Review 5:Absolutely nothing.

Review 6:The family made us very welcome and the food was excellent. Amazing countryside for walking and cycling. Convenient bus services to Aachen and Monschau, saves driving and parking in strange towns.

Review 7:They don't have shampoo

Review 8:Very kind personal,good breakfrast

Review 9:wifi is poor in the rooms

Review 10:rooms are big

Review 11:The staff was very helpful

Review 12:Nothing.

Review 14:Nothing

Review 15:Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Really German "gemütlichkeit".

Review 16:Very friendly welcome. Typical German hospitality. Good food. Lovely warm atmosphere.

Review 17:Nothing to dislike

Review 18:- room a bit small under the roof - hotel is clean, but somewhat old

Review 19:- food in the restaurant - friendliness of the staff - beds

Review 20:Offhand owner, not at all helpful--we checked in at 8pm, went down tohave food at 8.40, and were told food stopped at 8.30, no argument, andtold us no food to be had elsewhere in the village. He did put togethera reasonable cold meat sandwich, which was very welcome. However, we wentout for a walk to find a takeaway place open just across the road!! Ialso reported to him that the shower bar was electrically live &dangerous, and he didn't seem to want to know. .......No atmosphere, very quiet........and I'm not really surprised with hisattitude.........

Review 21:Location, good value,comfortable room

Review 22:We spent a night at this hotel. In our reservation it was clearlyspecified that "WiFi is available in all areas and is free ofcharge". Upon our arrival we asked for the password of the Wi-Fi,but the lady at the reception just felt sufficient to say that shedoesn't know it, and we have to wait until next day, knowing we haveone night reservation. No information was available in the room, but wenoticed some kind of information desk on the hallway from where we couldretrieve the details of the Wi-Fi. Wi-fi was not available in the roomat all, so we went to the lobby, but there another surprise: at 11:00 pmwe were told bluntly that "you have to go to your room, becausethat area will be closed. OK?" With this kind of attitude we willnever return to that place.

Review 23:Clean

Review 24:Led to believe it was closer to monschau than it really was, although bus stop almost opposite.

Review 25:Staff were friendly and although hotel decor was dated it was very clean.

Review 26:Wi-fi didn't reach room - Had to go to lobby to connect.

Review 27:Very quiet location. Close to WWII battlefields (Vossenack & Hurtgenwald) and close to Monschau. Breakfast was very nice. Room was comfortable.

Review 28:I booked a double-room with extra wide bed and got a room with 2 single beds instead.

Review 29:Maybe a litle bit noisy

Review 30:A bit older, but very nice and clean German family hotel. Very friendly staff

Review 31:The room did not have tea or coffee making facilities

Review 32:Fairly good distance to the nurburghring and spa francorchamps

Review 33:Not much atmosphere - very quiet!

Review 34:Convenient stopping off point en-route to Calais. Hotel in a small village near Monschau. Good value and food
