Reviews for Gästehaus Hubertusklause
Review 1:The bed was new but very soft - which I found uncomfortable.
Review 2:The place is very clean and good value for money. A quarter of an hour walk to Monschau in a quiet area. The breakfast is copious. The owner is helpful.
Review 3:Little parking space. Very steep walking route down to Monschau. Need healthy pair of legs.
Review 4:Great view over Monschau below. Very friendly owner preparing nice breakfast. Right next to the Vennbahn bicycle track. Very nice bathroom.
Review 5:The walk back up the hill from Monschau could be a challenge if not fit. We arrived after 5pm to find the reception closed, we already knew this from the booking confirmation. We then contacted the owner by the posted phone number and gained entry to the guest house via a coded entry system, keys to the rooms were obtained from a key safe in the hallway. Not the welcome expected after a long days travelling.
Review 6:Very comfortable room with a nice view of the Monschau valley. Continental breakfast was plentiful and very nice. The guest house is in a good location for accessing Monschau and is reachable with a 10 minute walk down the hill. There are numerous bar / receptions in Monschau which present
Review 7:Very nice walk into town.
Review 8:Wifi was broken on the first day. Staff just leaves at the end of the evening so no more beer :(
Review 9:The view
Review 10:The walls were a little thin although the hotel setting is very quiet.
Review 11:Lovely hotel with wonderful views although it is a 10 minute walk into the town and a steep walk back. Breakfast was very good but a little inconsistent sometimes you were offered an egg and sometime fresh fruit. We had the 1/2 board menu on 2 nights and the food was excellent.
Review 12:- we arrived on Friday 7 around 20h00 on a snowy and cold evening and it was very cold in our room (they should have put the heating given that they were expecting us to come) - there was no way to take a shower (no warm water anymore at 9h00 am) on Sunday morning and we had to take our breakfast without showering first. This is not normal and the management should have offered a compensation, which he didn't. This is definitely not professional and although we liked the place, it's not worth the money they ask for.
Review 13:- The location of the guest house and the beautiful view - The cosy and good restaurant
Review 14:Fireplace in the lounge would be perfect for a snowy evening. A very steep walk from the town.
Review 15:The location, the breakfast, the staff, the cleanliness, the view
Review 16:We arrived after a very long drive to find nobody in the Hotel. Wemanaged to find the phone number and as my wifes speaks a little Germanwe communicated that we had arrived. We had to wait for the owner todrive up from the town and let us in (it was -4c). But after thateverthing was fine.
Review 17:Although the Hotel was reported as 10 mins walk from the town, this wasbasically uphill stairs. That said it allows for stunning views over thewooded Valley. We stayed during the first of the Christmas Market Weeksin Monschau which is probably the most picturesque medieval town I havebeen in. The hotel was clean warm and very welcoming. Mr Winslow whoserved the breakfast was charming and informative. We would defineltystay here again if visiting the area.
Review 18:A very nice and friendly hotel, 10m walk from centre of Monschau with a great view over the North Eiffel. We enjoyed our stay very much and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent kitchen ruled by Mr. Zimmerman.
Review 19:Nobody to welcome you. You have to phone them to get the entry code.Restaurant was reserved but closed without notice. The hotel is situatedabove the town and the road is very steep.

Review 21:Lack of communication about opening times of the restaurant. No coffee and tea facilities in the room.
