Review 1：Around the hotel are several bars and beerhalls, therefore it is noisy until late night, even in December! Not recommended for the summer, if you want to sleep!

Review 5：Parking problems and brewery noise under the window at 0230 - there are not many cars that are under 150 cm. Alternate parking garage was a long walk with luggage etc. The brewery next store closes around 0200 and many gather outside. It is a great location for walking to most all that old Bamberg offers, just realize that being in such a good spot comes with some people making noise.

Review 10：This hotel is right at the heart of Bamberg. It's impossible to find one in a better location. Awesome restaurants and beer halls right around the corner. Staff is really friendly and speak perfect English. Nice atmosphere as well. Perhaps not the most modern hotel in the area, but makes up for this with charm.

Review 13：A bit difficult to arrive by car since. Streets in old town are narrow and we ended up 50m from hotel unable to access due to a one way street. Had to drive around town to access from the other side. Room was extremley hot as weather was 30degC and there were no aircond.

Review 21：The hotel was perfectly placed for exploring the old town of Bamberg.set in a quiet street surrounded by traditional German pubs. The rooms are clean, simple and traditional but I had a flat screen TV in my room and WiFi was pretty good. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was superb. Plenty of choice including scrambled and boiled eggs and the usual Continental spread.

Review 24：The only con is you have to park down the road. This is not uncommon when staying in a downtown area. You can however just drive up to the hotel and unload, then go park 5 minutes down the road.

Review 35：We'd requested a quiet room, but if this was a quiet room I'd hate to see the alternative. All night long we were awoken either by the noise inside due to squeaky doors, elevator doors and very thin walls or from outside (the bar is right there and everyone gathers outside to smoke and chat loudly, sing, yell, etc.). Wifi wouldn't work most of the time unless I went out into the hall to get the signal and then sign in….again. Furniture was old and outdated, carpet worn. Hotel is showing its age and basically getting by on its location. They provided liquid hand soap in the shower and beside the sink. The soap had been watered down until it was literally the consistency of water so it dribbled through your hands. It took forever to get washed up and I know we wasted a ton as it ran through our hands. Come on, don't be so cheap so as to not provide decent soap. In this respect, I would say the hotel is between 2-3 stars at most.

The hotel has its own restaurant butthere is a renowned historical brewery tavern serving excellent food andoriginal smoked beer with a fabulous atmosphere opposite...schlenkerla.

Would not recommend for a restful stay. The staff refused to serve us drinks in the outside area because it was for meals only at that time. Had to argue the point that we are residents and should be able to use all facilities at any time. They relented when challenged.
