Reviews for Hotel Alt Montjoie

Review 1:There was no heating at all, we were freezing, but of course one can survive! We had hot water which helped a lot! Nothing organised for the New Year's Eve. As for the meals, we prefered to eat somewhere else, there are many nice places to be checked. Little English, there were some misunderstandings...as our German was not that suitable...

Review 2:Very cosy place, clean room, welcoming town! Beautiful places to visit, amazing scenaries, fairytale atmosphere! Parking close to the hotel!

Review 3:Very well located, although a 5 minute walk from easy parking.very welcoming, excellent breakfast.lovely town all to ourselves when the day trippers leave.A+

Review 4:-room was a little bit too small and no window, only a small roof window.

Review 5:- location -friendly staff - free wifi -full europen breakfast and nice dinner available

Review 6:Motorcyclists might choose to avoid the cobbled streets and adverse cambers, particularly in the wet - we parked overnight in the Museum of Roman Glass' car park - perfectly safe. - and walked down to the hotel, although garage facilities are available if you bring your bike down - steep access though!

Review 7:Warm welcome - friendly proprietors and staff - language barrier was not a problem. The food was very good.

Review 8:There is a shortage of parking spaces in Monschau but this hotel is the closest to car park. Ideal for overnight stay. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Review 9:The staff shows little interest in you if you are not German. Thankfully we can pick up a word here are there or we would have been totally lost. Even then it took 5 minutes just to explain which table we would like to sit at during breakfast. The rooms are serviced and admin issues are handled but for the rest you really do feel like an outsider here if you are not a local.

Review 10:The location had to be the top point. For the price you really are in the midst of Monschau. The room was comfortable if a little drab but hey you are there to sleep. If you hang around your hotel room in this magical place you are doing it wrong.

Review 11:Relatively small room for the money; easy to bang your head against inclined ceiling; wi-fi works poorly upstairs; almost no space for storage inside the room - just a shelf and a few hangers

Review 12:Friendly staff; great location; rather early check-in; haribo gummy bears on the pillows ;)

Review 13:friendly staffs. Interesting building

Review 21:Couldn't get WiFi to work.

Review 22:Right in the centre of the town with easy (limited) parking opposite. Comfortable, clean room with good shower.

Review 23:No dedicated parking or event close buy for overnight.

Review 24:Location Staff Breakfast Room

Review 25:Central position good friendly staff and a nice clean pleasant hotel

Review 26:We loved this very quiet corner

Review 27:Winding stairs to attic room.

Review 29:NOTHING

Review 30:everything

Review 31:On finishing our meal we asked if we could get a drink in the bar whichwe did however the waitress didn't tell us the bar would close 15minutes later. The lady behind the bar advised us to go to Mon Bistro inthe town and they would also be showing the football (England v Italy). We had a great night there, the landlady couldn't have made us feel morewelcome. The hotel breakfast was nice however when we asked thegentleman serving for boiled eggs as there were none on the counter, after 15 minutes we had to ask again as he was engrossed in paperworkand we felt like an annoyance to him. This hotel is supposed to be"biker friendly" however we didn't feel that welcome at all.

Review 32:Booked this hotel as we needed parking for our motorbike which wasavailable in the garage. Room really nice and clean. We ate in the hotelrestaurant and the food was very nice too.

Review 33:Nothing!
