Review 1：For the price paid the rooms should be renovated. Disgusting old dirty sofa bed in room 305. Would not let a dog sleep on it.

Review 3：Parking situation is very bad, you have to pay 12€ Each night to stay in the parking garage which only has a few spots and is open limited hours, or 8€ a day to park 100 meters away, in a small little parking lot, with 5 spots for the hotel. And you were lucky if you got one of those because the lot is shared with a auto detailing company and their cars are always cluttering up the lot. Then the street you have to walk From the lot to the hotel is not very lit, and can be a hassle if you have a lot of stuff. The rooms are also much smaller than what they seem in the pictures.

Review 17：We went to Bamberg just for one day. We arrived to the hotel at 2:10 PM, and expected to check in and go to visit the city. But we had to wait one hour and a half for our room to be ready. When we finally go the room, one extra bed was an unconfortable sofá, therefore a horrible bed with some broken parts, and a dangerous metal part outside the bed that we were advice by the housekeeper to take care of. The shower handle of the bathroom was not good at all.

Review 22：Located on a 4 minute walk to the train station and about a 10 minute walk to the Old Town, Hotel National gave me great value for my money. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful and this hotel had the most varied and absolute best breakfast bar of any European hotel that I have ever stayed at. I also found that the early opening of the breakfast bar (6:30) extremely helpful should you need to catch an early train.

The location was away from the center, which was nice, but made for a long trek to see the center. There wasn't any air conditioning, so we opened the window only to be blasted with sounds from the bar across the street at all hours.

Review 63：For such a good hotel the room was terrible. It was cramped with bare white walls and the only light was through a brick-glass "window" that had no curtains. I won't stay here again.

Review 65：The mattresses were not great (but not terrible either). The wall with the adjacent apartment is seemingly thin, as we could hear our neighbors well through it. The hotel is a bit far from the old city (20 minutes by foot), but is only 2 minutes away from the train station and has some nice restaurants around it.

The apartment was modern and clean, furnished with a nice personal touch of book shelves (in German...), lots of big windows with a nice view and a nice terrace. The bathroom has two sinks (convenient for several people staying together), and there's a large modern cable TV. Breakfast was good and varied and included fruits, vegetables, a large cheese and meat selection, and lots of muesli, yoghurt, cold and hot drinks. Also hot eggs and another varying hot dish. Price was very reasonable (109 Euro per night for the entire apartment including breakfast for 4 people), and we received a folding baby bed with a mattress and bedding for no additional cost. Overall, highly recommended as a good budget option.

Review 92：I had a single room. I thought the price was a bit high as I have paid the same or less for double rooms with single usage in other places, which were in a slightly better condition. The larger rooms seemed nice but I don't know their price.

Review 94：After making our reservation through booking.com, I contacted the hotel to make sure that they could meet our requests: one queen/double bed, one baby bed, a room on the quiet side of the hotel (we read in other comments that the side to the bar is quite noisy at nights) and a reservation for the parking place. When we got there, the room had two single beds, the baby bed had no matress and instead of a baby blanket, it had a normal pillow, and the room was above the bar or casino. The only thing that was as requested was the parking place, but it was not that easy to park (too tight). The staff apologized specially for the situation with the baby bed, but they could do not do much for the hotel was full.

Review 95：Parking. There was no available slots in the garage so we had to look for parking in the area. Parking around the hotel is free but there's limited parking.

Review 96：We stayed in the apartments. We loved the layout of the room. The kids slept downstairs while mom, dad and baby slept upstairs. There was plenty. I mean plenty of room for all of us an like other rooms we've stayed in. Have already suggested friends to stay there if they are visiting Bamburg.

Review 97：The only complaint I have with the hotel is the fact the the walls are extreamly thin. I was able to hear our neighbors as they came in late one night, along with the shower running and the doors opening and closing.

Review 98：I booked the apartment room, and was very pleased by the set-up. It was a two story room with two small beds/couches on the first floor and a larger double bed on the top floor. I traveled with my 7 years old daughter, 21 year old sister, and friend.
