Review 1：The morning breakfast buffet was very nice and loved that it was included in the price. The location was great and easy to walk to all the attractions

Review 2：When making the reservation be aware that the hotel shows many pictures of the old building but one might not catch the fact that most of the average rooms get sent to a separate building connected via roofed passage behind the original.

Review 3：You get what you pay for. A luxurious, historical and beautiful building in an exclusive zone of the city without it being ridiculously expensive. Only a 3 minute walking distance to the old core of the city through a lively street that stays alive at night. Beside it access to a nice park/trail leading up to one of the cathedrals. Nice clean rooms, nicely stocked and cozy bar, has a big event room (Wedding when I was there). Forgot cash and my passport in the safe and the staff was very professional even mailing it to me in a separate city free of charge with not a euro missing within a few days.

Review 4：Worn down bathrooms. Outdated facilities. Breakfast feels a bit like a cantina, but food quality was good.

Review 6：The wake-up call I requested did not happen. Instead an hour later, someone knocked on my door. Consequently, I was almost late for an appt. and did not have time for breakfast, which was included in the price. I was told that there was some problem with the phone company. (?) The only compensation was that I was allowed to have breakfast the next morning. When I asked if a local friend could join me gratis, the response was negative and not particularly courteous. For a room price of over €175, In one of the better hotels in town, I had expected a more generous spirit.

Review 7：There is apparently a variety of room styles. The one I was given could have been at any hotel. On previous stays, I enjoyed a baroque style room with high ceilings. Be sure to ask for one in the older part of the hotel, if that is what you wish.

Review 10：Like Bamberg itself the hotel has history including its own chapel. It is a perfect fit from which to explore the old town and St Michael's Benedictine Monastry which looks down over the hotel.

Review 17：Stayed at this hotel with my wife in mid-September, I liked almost everything. The hotel's location (20 minute stroll to the historic part of the city), underground car park as part of a public parking. Breakfast is varied and tasty. The room was quite nice (a view of the river), the bed is comfortable for sleeping. The staff was friendly and ready to help. I did not like that the wireless network can be registered at only 2 devices.

Review 20：My wife had late dinner in the Restaurant and chose a Fish dish and the next morning she had quite alot of vomiting Problem. This has only something to do with the Fish Quality. The taste whilst eating was also something funny. I also had a different fish item and had no Problem at all. My wife is not at all a fussy Person normally. This she experienced after 10 years. She wanted to complain to the waiter during the meals but I objected. So the fault I suppose is mine or ?.

Review 22：very hot rooms plus no air conditioning (in our deluxe room): inconvenient during hot summer nights. the provided fan helped a little. The mini bar is built into the clothes cabinet and when the cabinet door is closed the mini bar overheats so it only works when cabinet door is left open all day. I advised the hotel to tell the cleaners to keep dor open but that did not work all the time. all mini bar fridges should instead be fitted into the in-room desk to prevent it from overheating. Also hotel car cark has limited spaces and cost €9.50 / night. this should be free for guests staying for example +5 nights and should be reservable as first two nights the hotel and adjacent public car park were full and we had to find a less secure car park next to the Regnitz river.

The room decor seemed to fall far short of rooms you would expect to find in a hotel if this caliber They were more basic and austere. In our past travels around Europe this caliber hotels usually are very luxuriously appointed and very inviting

Review 42：I called one day before our stay to add a day. The staff was so great by not only working it out but also giving us a great rate. When we arrived I was not pleased with the room so went back to front desk and precious Angelika offered me several other choices once I explained what I was looking for. She took me and we decided on the one to satisfy my requests. She and Kathanna always handled any enquiries and needs instantly and perfectly . The breakfast was super with an abundant supply of anything you could want and more.

Review 45：Lunch and dinner options at the hotel were limited or not available. The room did not have air conditioning and faced the afternoon sun, so it was warm at night. We asked for a fan, which was provided right away, and it helped that the temperature cooled off in the evening.

Room was never vacuumed for entire five days. bathroom toiletries never replaced. many spiders in room - killed 11 of them. mosquitos - received numerous bites. Couldn't close windows as it would have been unbearable. Garage - not enough spaces and spaces so small that one time we literally had to climb out of back of car because there wasn't enough room on either side to get out. no assistance available with luggate and it was a long walk to room.

It is a great way to start the day,and is priced very reasonably. Our room had high ceilings, was large,light, and airy. Given the heat wave going one when we arrived, I wassurprised that it was so comfortable without a/C. Location waslovely. We parked the car and walked everywhere. Old part of town is a 7minute walk. We went for 5+ mile runs every morning and had beautifuloptions into the city or out toward the country. Location puts you closeenough to some of great breweries and restaurants to walk without havingto stay among these noisy places. Breakfast hours went late enough forus to eat after our workouts. I will stay here again when we return toBamberg. Great trip!
