Review 1：There was nothing that we didn't like. If you're rolling your luggage from the train station, make sure your rollers can take the cobblestones.

Review 2：We liked best the room, the location & the breakfast. We reserved a regular room and were offered an inexpensive upgrade to a suite. It was luxurious with a good size sitting area and a large bathroom with a separate shower and bath. The internet was easy to use and fast enough. The location is perfect, in the middle of things but in a quiet area by the St. Peter's Church. I would definitely come back here.

Review 3：Staff is the least helpful of the 7 hotels we have stayed in this past two weeks. Breakfast also was poor in comparison. Our pricier room was large but had one small window less than 12" by 18 inches. Many flies and smelled bad. Their porter recognized the problem at check-in but they were full. Kids room they say was average.

Review 4：Location is good. Parking and directions for parking are a challenge. Not a big deal if you planned ahead more than we did.

Review 10：Great location! Easy walk to all the sights in Gorlitz. Room was very large! (as was the bathroom.) You probably could find something a little less expensive in Gorlitz, but this place is definitely worth it. Beautiful old building with modern conveniences.

Review 12：We enjoyed staying here and took pleasure in visiting Görtlizt. A good night’s sleep is the key ingredient to a delightful day. We were in room 605 which is easy access from the elevator. Some rooms are only accessible by steps. The room is large with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. In this particular bathroom, the fan was wired backwards. When the light switch was off, the fan came on. Also the breakfast is a must!! Nice assortment of items is offered. Görtlizt is a town with a great soul. It hasn’t been exposed too much to the commercialism of tourists yet. We arrived at Romantik Hotel Tuchmacher by car. The building sits at the corner of Peterstraβe and Nikolaistraβe which are very narrow streets. There is no long term parking on the street (one hour maximum) but luckily the hotel offers parking at the corner of Bogstraβe and Nikolaigraben which is about 1 block from the hotel. The lot is nice in size and easy parking. As you walk through the hotel, it is worth looking at the before and after pictures on the walls of the hotel depicting the renovated buildings. If you like porcelain and are looking for something unique, we highly recommend visiting Porzellanhandmalerei Heidi Klinger Neiβstraβe 18. These handmade items are gorgeous! Our unique hand painted porcelain rabbit egg was the perfect size for our carry-on luggage. We would definitely visit and stay at Romantik Hotel Tuchmacher again!

Review 13：It is strange that the room we were in was two entrances down from the reception desk and the restaurant. There is little room to temporarily park on the street in order to load and unload luggage.

Review 14：There was a mix up with our reservation that was found on check in and the staff worked to quickly resolve it. The room was beautiful and clean. The free parking area is a short walk away from the hotel but is secure and easy to access.

Review 17：No air-con. Noise - our room overlooked the cobbled street (Peterstrasse) and every car that passes makes much more noise than on tarmac. In very hot weather (28 - 30) it was hard to keep the windows closed so we had to put up with the noise. Variable wi-fi signal. Otherwise a truly excellent hotel.

Review 39：Rooms are depressing - very very basic, beds, carpeting, bathroom amenities are all low quality - decor is severely dated and cheap- bathrooms straight from the 70s. This is not a romantic renovated bed and breakfast inn with personal touches and beautiful luxurious decor. Its more a low end motel, without much charm - functional, certainly, but not exciting -other than being on another beautiful Gorlitz street.
