Review 1：Strange phone call to say key in dispenser by front door. No staff in hotel till breakfast . Why so expensive with so little staff?

Review 3：I did not like the staff, she was old and she couldn't speak English. It was confusion with rooms and its numbers, they did not offer me a WiFi voucher, they did not explain that at night when you go out to enter the hotel you need a key to open the main sore first, at night there is no staff and security at all.

Review 7：There was no mini-refrigerator or phone in the room. No once replaced soap in the bathroom. The breakfast was not to our liking.
Review 8：The room was very clean and comfortable. The area was perfect for sightseeing. It was very quiet.
Review 9：Reserved parking, which was not there. No help from staff regardong the "non reserved" parking. TV doesn't work Wi fi is charged but no one to give you the voucher because the reception was closed. Mini bar price list on the desk, but no mini bar in the room. What you pay is the location, not the room.

Review 11：The corridors and breakfast room were cold (but it was December). The view from room 11 was not very pretty (alleyway and bins). Although clean, the room looked tired. One member of staff to do breakfasts and manage reception; people were always waiting. Maybe an English thing, but no tea-making facilites in the room.
Review 12：The location is perfect for exploring the old town and the Christmas market. It is also veryclose to the bus and railway stations. The staff were very friendly. They will look after your luggage after you have checked out if you have a late depature.

Review 15：Not enough breakfast for everyone. Had to wait while the owner cooked some more. Not enough staff for a full hotel (2 in total). Towels old and ragged. Furniture scratched and old. No working phone or clock in bedroom. Crazy price of 130 Euros for double room. Unclean bathroom and floor.

Review 30：am Schelztor deliver what you can expect from a 3 star hotel. Breakfast OK, rooms nice size, clean and quiet. Whole hotel is very old fashioned, but clean. Excellent location just at the rim of Esslingen old town centre.
Review 31：Location ... Location .... Location .... Friendly staff. Room was more than adequate for a quiet couple of days. The hotel's siting close to public transport and the wonderful Medieval Christmas Markets added to appeal.
Review 32：Very good location. Only 10mins walk (with luggage) from station.Situated right on edge of lovely oldest part of the town. Only 5-10 minswalk to (bottom of!) castle steps Sights, shops, restaurants all at hand- very convenient. Esslingen v convenient place and full of history. -Lots to see v close. Only 10-15 mins to Stuttgart, trains regular.Airport bus (also from station) takes only 30 mins. Breakfast good. Noevening meals, but wide range of restaurants only minutes away. Goodlift in hotel. Staff very helpful - they were happy for us to leave ourluggage there all day on the day of departure.
