Review 1：Following our check in, we reported stains over one of the walls similar to coffee or coca-cola. No apology was made nor was it cleaned at all over our 3 night stay. Wet bath mat wasn't replaced and was just folded up for further using. Two of the staff we primarily dealt with, during check-in and reporting marks on the wall, were not overly friendly and seemed more inconvenienced or put out during each of these occasions. For each of the three breakfasts, the same chipped and cracked glass jugs were used for milk and juices. Surely they recognize the risks associated with broken glass-ware with bacteria and fragments potentially breaking off. Overall, the location and room were really nice but as there are also numerous other well located hotels on that same harbour strip and elsewhere on the island, we would opt for an alternate hotel next time and recommend others doing so also.

Review 2：Excellent location and spacious triple room. Good view of the mountains and the harbour from the bedroom window. Heated tiles in the bathroom were a plus.

Review 3：Breakfast was good but really basic, missing food items were refilled late or not at all. Breakfast serving personnel not quite professional.

Review 4：Perfectly clean, very cosy and warm. Perfect view and position. We got a welcoming extra made bed for the child.

Review 5：Driving through Lindau on a public holiday to find the hotel was quite stressful! But luckily the underground parking place was a short walk away. It would be useful for the hotel to attach a map of the route to the hotel to their booking confirmation.

Review 7：No air conditioning. Room stiflingly hot despite window being open. Staff couldn't find any sort of fan. Couldn't bear to be in room due to the heat. When mentioned on check out staff were indifferent to the fact that the 3rd floor was unfit for purpose. Also strange bathroom window that offers no privacy when in shower.

Review 10：Pleasant family run property. Rooms are ok, although looks pretty spartan in the beginning. Easy walking to train station, direct access to lakeshore. Convenient.

Review 13：Quite a lot. We were in room 401 and this room has a bathroom which has no bathroom curtains !? The toilet-seat is approx 25 cm above the floor, great if you are very very small. The duvet cover on the beds was really thin ( mid March). After talking to reception, they did change this for better duvet's. The communication with the reception staff was not easy, to say the least. We have stayed in many hotels and this hotel is definitely overrated.

Review 15：The room had a large window looking through to the bathroom and toilet, which seemed a bit strange. This could be a real privacy issue for some!

Review 16：The hotel is right on the scenic promenade of Lindau and about 5 mins walk from the railway station. Generally quite well appointed, very clean, nice breakfasts and good staff who try to make the large hotel feel less impersonal.

Also they have no parking you have to either park at the train station and walk to hotel or a public parking lot which is even further away and walk to hotel. On the web site they say private parking is available leading you to believe that the hotel has parking which it does not.

Review 27：Arriving by car is slightly awkward because 1) you must drive thru small lanes and busy pedestrian walkways to reach check-in/unloading. Not all GPS systems can identify with these lanes. 2) underground parking is off-site and one needs a special remote control to access the garage. To locate the garage the first time, hotel staff accompany you in your own car to the garage and walk back to the property together. The system works and isn't a major problem, just different from what folks might normally be used to.

Review 69：Super location next to the marina. Nice dining room terrace on 1st floor with good views. If staying on Lindau you have to accept narrow, mostly pedestrian streets. It's not car friendly but this hotel does well to provide parking (a few streets away).

Review 75：We booked a Double room with lake view and it was definitely worth it. The room was very spacious, beautifully made up and the bathroom was great. The view out across the harbor was fantastic. The receptionist was very helpful even coming out to help bring our luggage into the hotel & helping us find the car park. Breakfast was one of the best we have eaten in our many stays across Europe. The location is excellent and made exploring the island easy. Overall just a beautiful part of the world.

Review 77：The front desk reception woman was wonderful and helpful. She was a tall beautiful woman. She was very accommodating to me and my companion. Very very nice. She even sent an employee to bring me to a garage to park my car. I had no idea how manage my way alone. They made us feel very welcome. The dinner at the hotel upstairs was amazing and our waiter was extremely well at explaining everything. I would rate this place very high.

Review 81：A comfortable and well equipped house with tradition. The situation on the harbour front is charming and dramatic offering views over the lake to the snow covered mountains. The staff were both caring and couteous. The rooms well equipped and maintained.

We felt this was disappointing considering thecost and star rating at the hotel.

If you arrive in the late evening youwon´t be allowed to park in the hotel and you will have to park arroundand ther is no parking easily available. It is expensive, the ratioprice/room size/quality is not good, although gthe hotels in the areaare very expensive.We made some requests when making the reservation and they were ignored.

It is virtually by the lake. The breakfastis fine. The staff is nice. It is possible to walk around tyhe wholeisland from the hotel, it is really beautiful. The boats to go aroundthe lake are 1´from the hotel.

Review 94：Hotel limited by the fabric of what is an old building with interior spaces smaller than modern standards, though very smartly refurbished in recent years, so: our room (not lake-view) was rather cramped and dark (there are larger rooms in the hotel); no air conditioning and it can get quite hot in summer in Lindau; breakfast buffet area also cramped and poorly laid-out.

Review 102：Lindauer Hof is perfectly situated on the waterfront in Lindau though not in the middle of everything. The breakfast was excellent and the cafe in the front of the hotel was perfect for an evening drink. Our family of 4 stayed in 2 rooms. One, facing the waterfront, was wonderful except it was a little noisy at the beginning of the night (we kept the window open since it was a little stuffy in the room). The other faced the side of the hotel and was quieter though it did not have a grand view. It also had a curtainless window between the bathroom and the bedroom which made our teenage daughter uncomfortable.
