Review 1：Disappointing service when ordering drinks at the bar for delivery to the lounge area near piano. Waited so long we had to cancel the order as we had a dinner appointment in Lindau. Very poor WIFI reception in bedroom.

Review 3：Each room should be equipped with an iron and iron board. There are not enough racks to hang up the wet towels or the washed clothes.

Review 4：It is very well located, quiet and convenient, close to the old town and bus stops. You can either take a walk or a bus. The breakfast is perfect. The garden is beautiful with the big trees and flowers surrounded. The book in the room is very helpful to know about Salzeburg.

Review 5：Some of the staff was not that pleasant, in particular one of the oldest waitress seem to have a problem with foreigners. He was quite rude, forgot to pass our order to the kitchen and didn't even apologise. We wanted a double bed and got 2 singles stuck together.

Review 9：The hotel rooms are not quite to the standard of the hotel. The room was very uncomfortable when we visited as the weather was hot and there is no air conditioning or room fans. Leaving windows open is not an option due to insects. However for 10 months of the year my issue on room temperature will not be a problem.

The view from the balcony in our room was spectacular and we had everything we needed, including an extra fan as the temperatures outside were above 35°C! We loved the pool and access into the lake.

Review 22：Very nice and quiet location with amazing lake view. The spa facilities are top notch, too bad the open air pool was a bit cold and couldn't enjoy swimming in it. The place feels like the old aristocracy and gives a refined taste of the old days, though very well preserved. With a bike at hand or a car, the old beautiful port of Lindau is around 5 minutes drive. Free parking available on location.

Review 23：Returning to the Bodensee for our 25th wedding anniversary after honeymooning there was everything we hoped it would be. The hotel bad Schachen was in a fabulous location with stunning views of the lake and mountains. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the food excellent. The spa area was contemporary whilst the hotel retained a traditional character. However the main reason we would gladly return to this hotel , is the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, especially the head waiter Ivan.

The fantastic pool and Spa were so easily reachable via the designated lift for guests, sothat you could put on your dressing gown and slippers and just move downinto the Spa.

Review 35：The location of the hotel is stunning - overlooking the beautiful Lake Constance. This historical hotel has everything - fabulous staff, a great spa, charm, history and character. But it's icing on the cake are the location and stunning views across the lake to Austria and the Swiss Alps. A pleasant walk into the nearby town of Lindau and superb food at the restaurant made this one of my favourite leisure breaks ever.

Review 92：A wonderful room with balcony overlooking the lake, comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful and spoke good English and we also tried with our limited German. The waiter offered to book us a table inside the restaurant and also outside on the terrace for dinner and let us decide if weather was suitable for outside - and it was! Food especially enjoyable - presentation and good choice of menu. We were serenaded by a blackbird too!

The front office staff and the dining room servers (particularly the male server from Romania) were very professional and had great personalities. The lady who made omlettes at breakfast made some of the best I have ever had. Definitely recommend upgrading to get a room with a small balcony and view of Lake Konstanz (Bodensee). Also the close proximity of the hotel to Lindau Island (definitely worth visiting) was good.

The SPA is also very well kept and actually overall excellent for relaxation. The area surrounding the Hotel is also excellent for taking walks or just have some relaxing moments. Review 100：Beautiful location in a lovely town. We rented paddle boats both days wewere here, and it was awesome. It was pretty fancy, which as Alaskans,we aren't really used to, but it was really nice. There isn't aton to do there beside relax, but it was the perfect vacation within avacation while we spent three weeks traveling through Europe. Reallynice breakfast buffet for a reasonable price.

Review 102：The most spectacular view I have ever had from a hotel room! The staff were friendly and professional throughout the stay, from a pleasant and easy check-in to the helpful bar staff. The location is fantastic, the pool area is so relaxed and well maintained, the bar food was great (we do not enjoy the formality of restaurants so were so glad to be able to enjoy good food in a more relaxed setting). My favourite bit had to be sitting on our balcony, looking over the lake enjoying a slice of cake from the great selection available all afternoon. Oh, and the pianist that played both classical and modern pieces in the bar in the evenings.

The bathroom on my single room was just horrible. It looks like one of a youth hotel ! You have a shower curtain in the bath ! Can't accept that for a 4 star hotel. I was there alone, and sometimes, in the restaurant at the evening, I had the feeling to disturb the room...The waiter served me very fast and sometimes I just got finished my plate that he came at once to pick it up... Not fair.

Review 111：The room was okay. But the bathroom was redicoulsly small...it felt like a bathroom on a boat. Although the bathroom was clean, the water to fill the tub was rusty brown...probably because the hotel property is old. The location of this hotel is exceptional as it fronts Lake Constance, however we were quite shocked that there was an unsightly boat dock right in front, (small boats to rent) that was full of debris such as sticks and wood logs...it was a shame as it totally marred the view. Our room, overlooked the lake but the unsightly boat dock ruined the view. We did not get Internet in our room, only out in the hall...we would recommend only if your room did not overlook the boat dock...and you could request a larger bathroom...

Review 119：There was a blond lady with black suit at the reception who was very rude. Too bad. And they do not use tax exemption forms at the hotel. Basically it is the only place in Germany that doesn't so don't be surprised.

Review 126：The tub shower set up was small and cramped, especially for a spa hotel. It was difficult to get the shower head to point at anything but the wall. It would have been nice if we had been advised ahead of time that a large conference of Nobel Laureates would be happening during our stay. The lounge was often crowded, and the whole scene was not what we would have chosen for a relaxing holiday.

Review 127：Our room was comfortable and kept very clean. The amenities were great. The staff was very helpful.

Review 128：What we did not like was the room maintenance, or lack of. We stayed in the room for 4 nights, and had enjoyed two glasses of red wine in the room on the first night. Those dirty glasses were never taken out, nor was obvious garbage. Basically, the bed was made each day, new towels put out, and that was it. Also, for a five star hotel, we were quite surprised to be charges 2 euros for a newspaper when most hotels of that rating deliver them for free. The hotel also was very minimally decorated for a 'grand,' hotel, the dining rooms especially were sparse. 4 star perhaps, but certainly not 5.

Review 129：The one thing we liked about the room was the balcony, with table and 2 chair. We were able to order room service, and enjoy the waterfront for a very lovely evening. Although we had to book a room including breakfast, as it was the only option available on the website, it was charged at 30 euros per night. We would have preferred to have it not included, as we didn't participate in it.
