Review 1：Staff is very 'special' and asks guests to change rooms during the stay due to over booking. WiFi speed is unacceptable, it is just there to say "WiFi available".

Review 8：The owners of the hotel are very friendly and welcoming providing an excellent base from which to explore the town of Celle and surrounding area. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful every day, the rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anybody visiting Celle.
Review 9：Our room on the 1st floor at the back was sufficiently spacious for two, quiet and comfortable. The room was well furnished, with a good double bed, individual reading lights & side bed tables. Unusually generous tea/coffee facilities were included. A large private terrace area was directly accessible from the room. The bathroom was moderate sized, with a good sized shower, ample hot water and good shelf space for toiletries. The wireless network in the room was reliable and supported streaming. We were warmly greeted by the owner on check-in. Breakfast was fresh, with a good assortment of meats, cheeses, cereals, etc. and coffee refills. The zur Alstadt is located on the edge of the old town, with a number of restaurants just around the corner, the Schloss area a short 5 minute pedestrianized walk away and a large public parking garage just down the street.

Review 30：The people, the room, the breakfast and the ideal location. The nearest car park cost only 4 Euros per day or 3.50 overnight. On street parking after 6pm is free until 9 am. Good value for money

Review 54：Wonderful hotel. Chose a superior room, it was with a beautiful terrace. The breakfasts were great. The selection is not huge but everything is homemade!
Review 55：Front bedrooms are very noisy from road traffic on cobbles. Smell of cigarette smoke all the time, unable to open windows for air due to noise outside. Would not recommend it to a non smoker unless you had a room at the back. No tea/coffee facilities in rooms.
