Review 1：The hotel has everything a sightseeing visitor needs as nearby are many varied eateries.for meals other than breakfast...However it lacks a lounge for relaxation if the weather is inclement..

There was an excellent selection but unfortunately the warm bit, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon was not especially warm and was not up to the standard of the other, cold, choices. Also the staff were so coffee centred it was difficult the first 2 mornings actually getting hot water for a cup of tea...strange but true.

I would almost go to Potsdam just for the breakfast buffet. The room was nice too, the shower was immediately the right temperature.

I would say if you are staying during the hot months there is no air conditioning but that was not an issue for us since it was mid October. The location is a very short walk to the square. Review 27：we've been asked to reserve parking at advance for 6 euro, when we got there we notice that there are no parking problems at the area, and the parking that we order was in fact a park for a school near by, so we felt a bit used. before we booked, we notice that there is a fresh orange juice at breakfast, but in fact, you have to make it your self, and if you are not that strong at your arms- it's impossible to do it...

She was uninterested, unhappy, simply pushed our paperwork we needed to sign forward, huffed and puffed as we'd taken her away from her very important Saturday night phone calls that she had to put on hold for us and talked at us impatiently when we asked questions. We got the information we wanted eventually and her stroppy-teenage-like behaviour was luckily waters off a ducks back for us but still, it's the worst most 'welcome' from any receptionist from any halfway decent hotel that we have ever experienced. Shame on her, she does not deserve to be working there.

Unless you're plan is to spend more time in your room rather than exploring Potsdam, this place is perfect for top quality little double rooms in a great location. Shortage of parking places –make sure that you have confirmation of your place waiting for you,otherwise start with searching public parking, the go to the hotel. Noplace to stop the car in front of the hotel (no-parking area, only localcitizens are allowed to stop there) to unload luggage; instead - kindremark from the receptionist that leaving the car in front of the hotelmeans ticket of 25 Euros. When you do a trip of 10kkm - safe parkingplace is important; policy “your car – your problem” is rather odd(however no one used exactly that words). Dragging the suitcases fromthe distant parking (2km away) completely spoiled our visit to Potsdam –or perhaps Sanssouci looks pale compared to Villandry, Chenonceau orAzay le Rideau – well, it is a park, not garden… Sweet young lady at thereception – we were not looking for shopping opportunities at Potsdam,we’ve been visiting European parks and gardens. And we needed a place toleave a car overnight.

For example, hand soap and shower gel dispensers were completely empty, luckily we had our own cosmetics in the bag. Unacceptable in any decent hotel. Also, it was extremaly hot in the room, hard to sleep without any AC- but I blame it on the weather.
