Review 1：One first floor bedroom was at the same level as the street light. The Venetian blind and curtain were not adequate to block it out. A sleepless night from someone not usually affected by light. The member of staff at breakfast had poor German and did not reflect the positive efforts made by the owner. A wide choice. However, rolls were not properly baked. They were the sort to finish off in the oven.
Review 2：The hotel was situated a 10 minute walk from the centre of Merseburg and easy access from the motorway/main road with the park just across the road. Parking was convenient. The owner was pleasant, welcoming and efficient. Pleasant communal area.
Review 3：We tried to call this so called 3 stars hotel twice and left a message to be called back as we were given that option, when we knew we would be arriving late. No one called us back. We arrived at 7.15 pm, to find the reception closed. We found a key with my name on a yellow stickie on the table outside the reception. We were given only one code for wifi access when there were 2 of us. There was only one miserable satchet of liquid soap in the room. The lady (owner?) in the breakfast room lacks warmess and no smiles on her face. This is one of the worst hotels we have ever used.
Review 4：When we arrived the room was unheated and very cold. The bed was extremely hard. No cleaning of the room although we stayed for 2 nights. We felt that there was much attention to the guests feeling at home (typical for the old Eastern Germany).
