Reviews for Aappartel
Review 1:There's no waste bin in the room, though there's a little kitchen. A bin is only to be found in the bathroom. It's also impossible to cook as there are no pans, pots and table ware.
Review 2:Great location, in the city centre and only 10 minutes'walk from the train station. Modern, quite big and clean rooms. Good breakfast choice. Very friendly staff. Best quality at a very fair price.
Review 3:internet access was slow and unreliable
Review 4:Great location (close to railway station and city centre), friendly&flexible staff (no problem if you have to leave earlier than 5:30 a.m.), neat and clean rooms with a fresh interior design, good breakfast, for a reasonable price
Review 5:No bad experience at all
Review 6:The studio apartment was bright and airy, very clean with fresh towels every day. Staff on reception were very helpful and provided any facilities that were not in the room. Central location so ideal for shops, tourist attractions etc would highly recommend it and would definately stay there again
Review 7:Centrally located and close to both the central station and the center of Bielefeld. Very big apartment with the possibility of cooking inside it. Kind staff.
Review 8:The lift stops on a mezzanine landing, between floors, which means that there are flights of stairs between the lift and the ground floor entrance and between the lift and your room. May be not so great if you are mobility-impaired or have heavy luggage.
Review 9:This was a real 'find'! Really comfortable, spacious, room with a small kitchenette with fridge and electric hob. We only needed one night's accommodation, but it would have made a great base for a longer stay. Manageress was friendly and helpful. After a few days on the road, it was great to be able to use the washing machine, and breakfast was one of the best we've been offered in months!
Review 10:There is no cooking equipment in the kitchen so we cannot cook (but we also didn't plan to cook). And we didn't find the way to turn all of the lights of the kitchen on. The wifi reception is bad.
Review 11:The decoration of the apartment is fancy and space design is charming. The apartment is in the cellar but with windows, so it is not that dark. All my friends love this apartment a lot.
Review 12:You have to walk up 10 or so steps to get to the elevator. If I'd had a heavy suitcase, I would have been annoyed.
Review 13:Surrounded by busy city center, but quiet and relaxing in the room.
Review 14:We stayed 5 nights in an apartment with a kitchen, paying 650 euros. Despite this we were told we couldn't use the kitchen unless we paid another 35 euros! This is not how to make your guests feel welcome.
Review 15:Nice decor, large room (we stayed in one of the apartments)
Review 16:I could hear everything from the couple of rooms next to me.
Review 17:It was easy to find, very easy-going and nice staff, breakfast was just fine, and it was nice to be able to make tea in the room
Review 18:No cake or croissant or sausages for Breakfast, Breakfast should start at 6:00 instead of 6:30 for people who are on business trip that would be more convenient, No free parking possibility and no indoor parking at the hotel.
Review 19:Good location, electric kettle and teabags in the room, free Wifi, good breakfast, very clean rooms, friendly staff,
Review 20:If you stay longer, you might wish a good chair or a table to work at - not available in my 1-person room
Review 21:For a one night visit to Bielefeld, this was the right place: clean, modern, friendly staff, a good bed and a shower. Breakfast OK.
Review 22:- uncomfortable beds - awful wi-fi - limited, unvaried breakfast - expected a little bit more for the money
Review 23:- great, central location - friendly staff
Review 24:But we would have liked a bit more cooking facilities. For two persons preferrably 2 chairs in stead of 1 chair and a bench.
Review 25:Good looking, spic and span appartment, seems to be quite new. Good beds and good shower. A bit noisy from the outside, but more silent with closed double glass isolated windows. A bit of cooking is possible
Review 26:Too noisy and too much street light into the room at night. My room was next to a back street. I was charged 2 children breakfast although I had confirmation saying it was free. Child 2 and 7 years.
Review 27:Cleanliness and breakfast excellent.
Review 28:Disco in neighbourhood (noisy people in the middle of the night) Street parking
Review 29:Vary clean room and bathroom New furniture Comfortable bed Delicious breakfast Close to City centre Easy to find
Review 30:Shower is tiny and only with a curtain And the bathroom light ain't that bright ;)

Review 37:Nothing
Review 38:Everything
Review 39:good location
Review 40:noisy, you get only one pillow which is very thin. Door of the room opens with keycard which is fine, but no extra lock from inside.
Review 41:You could heare street noise and sometimes neighbor room.
Review 42:Easy 24h entrance.
Review 43:Nothing we didn't like it was all fantastic
Review 44:Great location, clean modern decor.. great value for money will defo be back.
Review 45:The room was noisy. It was difficult to park a car.
Review 46:The location and the breakfast was ok. The staff is nice.
Review 47:worst WiFi connection ever
Review 48:Rooms on street side noisy when window open which is an must no air conditioning we asked to be moved to a courtyard room which was fine.
Review 49:Rooms are clean modern and beds comfortable bath room clean and spacious.
Review 50:Parking and information about where and when parking restrictions are in place was very bad.
Review 51:The hotel was easy to get to. Clean and well looked after. Breakfast very good for a Continental one. Value for money. Large, well equipped room.
Review 52:-staff uninformed, unresponsive and often bewildered by questions -had to complain about wireless expiry, not been informed about having to get a new login every 24 hours -no bathtub -no printer
Review 53:-the little kitchenette -good beds
Review 54:Parking when not possible in front of hotel, go to underground parking
Review 55:Breakfast Location in Bielefeld centre Fresh and new hotel Good for business stay
Review 56:Washing and drying clothes. It was claimed there was a dryer available -what there actually was was an interesting machine for turning your coldwet clothes into hot wet clothes, which almost but not quite fulfilledthe same function. If you were visiting in summer, the lack of any blinds on the windows would be a serious defect. Didn't bother us in December.
Review 57:Having read the review from "Anonymous" of New Zealand (toolate, the day before our stay) it was with some trepidation that I sawon our arrival that the reception attendant was taking us _down_stairsto the dreaded Basement Room of Doom. The reception attendant seemed tohave a certain amount of trepidation too - maybe the hotel has also beenreading the reviews. I was relieved to find that actually I rather likedthe room, and we had a great time there. Having said that, the majorgripes that Anonymous had are all substantially true - yes, this is abasement room with very little natural light (we were there in December- like we were likely to get any natural light anyway), the roof heightvaried widely from about 15ft to 6ft in the corridors (we're allunder 5'10" - again, nbd) and you have to pay extra for extraslike wifi and hire of kitchen gear (it's budget accommodation - Iwasn't hugely surprised). Wifi worked perfectly well in the kitchen,I liked the green and black colour scheme (you can really tell whatit's going to be like just by looking at the front of the hotel),wasn't particularly disturbed by the pump, no bad smells or rubbish, and found the beds pretty comfy. And they were willing to fit five of usinto the room, which is moderately rare. If your name is Baggins,Gloinsson or Stronginthearm and you're visiting in the dead ofwinter, this is a perfectly fine place to stay.
Review 58:staff not really friendly, when using elevator you still need to go take the stair - with the luggage its inconvenient. the walls are thin and you hear what happens in the next room. not much light in the bathroom
Review 59:quickly checkout; big room, kitchen with a can, very clean and modern; bath - not only a shower.
Review 60:The reception was closed at night and there are no phones in the rooms. There were non-guests partying inside the hotel and making noise until 6am, in addition to the noise from the street (the rooms are not soundproof to say the least!). I tried ringing the night-bell but no one answered. I couldn't get any sleep while staying in this hotel, and I was very tired at the time... I had no one to talk to so moving to a different room was not an option, unfortunately...
Review 61:Clean, central
Review 62:No conditioning in the room so air gets a bit stale, but opening the window solves the issue. NB no free parking by the hotel, but 2min down the street there's underground parking for 8EUR per day.
Review 63:Clean, new, funky, located 5 min from shopping & attractions. 15-20 min to Gerry Weber Stadion. Perfect for solo travelers.
Review 64:Elevators were not convenient. Bathroom was very clean but smelled stale.
Review 65:Close to the train station. Breakfast was good and well priced. Big windows. Extra sitting chair.
Review 66:The towels were way too thin, and so were the walls (we could clearly hear the tv next door). The worst part was the double bed that had a gap with a wooden ridge between the two single mattresses.
Review 67:Staff was very nice and the location central. The room was spacious and its nice to have the small kitchenette.
Review 68:That was our second time at this hotel, and again everything went well: service was friendly, facilities were in a good shape and the breakfast table was plentiful enough. In addition, this hotel is well located in the city center.
Review 69:We booked a family apartment and I could have almost wept withdisappointment as we were led downstairs to the underground bunker theythought was suitable for a family. There were 2 sky lights with glassyou couldn't see through, no windows and very poor artificiallight. The ceiling height in parts was only 6 feet high. There was akitchen but it had only 4 led lights, no crockery, cutlery or cookingutensils. It turned out we were not allowed to use the kitchen, withoutan extra payment. We realised the bad smell in the hallway was caused by the hotel rubbish bins being stored beside the entrance to our room. The animal skulls on the wall, and cow skin on the floor were distasteful and disturbing for the children.Because the apartment is underground any wastewater has to be pumped up to the sewerage system. This meant that whenever a tap was used or the toilet flushed a noisy pump would operate for 3 seconds twice a minute. This meant that using the toilet at night woke everyone up.The darkness of the room combined with the low ceilings in part, resulted in a feeling of claustrophobia, and after the first night we realised we could not stay any longer without spoiling our entire trip. The underground corridor lighting was controlled by a switch at the top of the stairs, which meant we were left in the dark at times having to navigate the corridor and stairs without any light.I should have realised there was a problem looming when we had to pay for the three days when we arrived, rather than at the end of the stay. When we handed the keys back and said we were leaving early, they did not seem surprised, did not ask if we were satisfied, certainly didn't offer a refund, but did ask for 2 Euros for use of the wifi, which worked only when sitting on the end of 1 particular bed.The pictures of the rooms on booking.com make the accommodation look light and bright, and our apartment did not fit this description at all.
