Review 1：Excellent Hotel. We arrived after a long flight from Sydney, Australia well before the check in time, however, we were still able to check in and given a room. We appreciate this very much. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Room was very clean, comfortable and quite. Breakfast was excellent. Top location across the road from the Central Station and all transport connections. Walking distance to old town approximately 6 to 10 minutes. I highly recommend this hotel. We hope to stay here again.

Review 5：We used the hotel as a home base for day trips -- Cologne, Rhine Valley, Mosel Valley, Luxembourg, Trier, Nurburgring. It's right across from the train station where you can catch trains constantly to many of those places, and easy access to the autobahn. 30 mins to Frankfurt Airport where we flew out. Mainz itself is not a huge draw but it's lively enough that we could get dinner when we came back in the evening (15 min walk to central city). Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast so-so but lots of breakfast options around the train station. Parking in a garage nearby. Hotel and room themselves were not charming but fine - clean and a step up from typical European business hotel.

Review 6：Internet connection uses a hotspot and you need to register with your name and mobile on a webpage in order to access it. I tried that many times but never could, so at the end I had to ask for an internet coupon which was way easier. Could not connect external devices to the tv (like Chromecast). I got an double bed which was basically two singles beds together, so it was a little uncomfortable, but still very nice.

This is a very nice hotel with welcoming staff who were very helpful finding a safe place to put our bicycles for the night. It was very warm when we arrived, so the airco was fantastic. Breakfast was varied and complete. All in all a great experience.

Review 19：I did not like the breakfast room and food. Cleanliness could be improved, and especially as they do have a small fruit fly problem. I found the bowl of oranges contained 2 very badly and visibly decayed oranges and the rest did not look or feel good. Bread and cheeses were good. Hot food soso. Coffee soso. The dining room was very hot (need to turn on the A/C). A few minor inconveniences --- parking a block away in public parking at about 9 euros a day, but you can unload and load in front of the hotel. The elevator only goes to the 5th floor, not go to the 6th floor, but I take the stairs anyway. Two men in suits apparently on a tour of the hotel barged into my room (there was a quick knock, I called out, but the door was opened almost at the same time). The hotel is non-smoking and even has the words Nichtraucher (NoSmoking) in its Name but the receptionist smoked outside the front door, so the smoke drifted into the lobby, bar, and reception area. Seriously, I think all staff in a total non-smoking hotel should be non-smokers.

Review 20：Very nice room & bathroom, on the 6th floor with large windows and view. Very clean. Really nice pillows. Great WIFI. Great AC. Lots of English news channels on TV. Great location a short walk to the centre. Nice bar, with coffee available upon request in evening hours. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, willing to chat, except for one woman on the last day who was argumentative.

Review 21：Despite being across the street from the train station, the room was absolutely quiet; it also had A/C, a rarity that was much appreciated (and needed, since opening the double windows is very noisy). We made only a whistle-stop, and didn't spend much time directly around the hotel, but our stay was comfortable and staff was helpful and efficient. Good breakfast buffet. Oh - and English tv channels.

They informed us all about the city center, places to visit around hotel, and train schedules. Our luggage did not arrive at the airport. They did the follow up with airline and with courier people. We are very thankful for their efforts. I asked for the shaving kit and they provided it immediately. Location is just across the Mainz Hauptbahnof. S-8 train takes you to airport and Frankfurt hauptbahnof directly. It runs after every 20 min. We loved this hotel and will stay here again.

Review 27：The concierge impressed me much. He knew immediately that I had made a reservation when I mentioned my name; you can tell he had bothered to look up who were arriving that day. The room and the bathroom were very clean and well maintained. I used the sauna, which was very clean and free for guests. The air-conditioning in the room was an individual unit so I could adjust the temperature to meet my comfort. The wi-fi strength was very good, although I had to get the username and password from the concierge and sign an agreement that I would not download any unauthorised or illegal materials.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The elevator stops at the fifth floor, so avoid the sixth floor unless you are traveling light.

Review 75：The staff was very friendly and helpful, making an impromptu "tour" of things to see in Mainz. The suggestion to see the local market was great! The hotel is literally a few steps and away from the main train station and only 10 min from the city centre. The room was large enough with plenty of outlets and a nice TV. Despite its location, it was rather quiet. The bathroom was large and the shower head had good pressure. Breakfast was well stocked with a wide choice of cold meats, cheese, and bread. Also yoghurt, cereals, and unusually, some choice of nuts and seeds! There was also some nice sausages and scrambled egg. All of it was of good quality.

We also found a clothing item belonging tothe previous occupant, which makes you wonder what surprises may behidden under the bed. The second day the towels were removed but notreplaced - which was fixed rapidly and with many apologies by the ladyat the reception. The public I came across in the vicinity of the hotelmade me feel like I was about to be mugged. And there was some amount ofpole dancing going on nearby which to my mind confirmed that feeling.Then again, the hotel is opposite the railroad station so I suppose Ishould have known.

All of this comes at a very reasonable price. Whatstood out to me were two things: upon entering the hotel at first, wewere able to walk to our room with the key within 30 seconds. It was thefastest check-in I have ever encountered! After departure, we receivedan email from the hotel staff inquiring whether we had lost a pair ofpants and if we wanted them to mail it to us. These pants turned out notto be ours, but in my opinion it gives an extremely positive reflectionof the people running this place. How many hotels would do that?Finally, we were not familiar with Mainz and mainly came to visit friends. However, it turns out the (old) city is well worth a visit!
