Review 1：The rooms were outside the main building, so the arrival spa stagnation temperature is not the ideal thing, but it is possible.

Review 2：The ratio of outstanding staff, good breakfast and diverse, a good place for rest and relaxation

Review 3：towels were worn out. At this level of hotel - you expect to have accesories in good shape. and there was only one bottle of soap and one of shampoo in the shower (we were two persons per room). Be advised that there is no elevator to the second floor.

The hotel is located in an historical builiding in a middle of a forest. very nice location. rooms were very nice. there is a SPA which we didn't use because of late arrival but they were very generous and said we can use it no extra charge for the two hours until closing time (otherwise, SPA costs 15eur per person). Breakfast was very good. fresh and rich.

Review 6：Quiet location and history. Within striking distance of the historic centre of Potsdam, the hotel picks up the royal theme legitimately. The staff were welcoming and very helpful.

Review 7：All facilities have to paid for. No access to swimming pool, sauna, etc without paying extra. Isolated room quite far from main hotel, no coffee, tea material for an early start. Room service prices over the top and unnecessary. Mini bar prices exorbitant. Wine for examole at 35€ a half bottle, that I have in my cellar costing 6€ a bottle. Hired a bike, but bikes are poorly maintained and staff unable to help... I repaired 3 bikes for them! before fining one that was usable. In summary, a management that is too obviously keen to make money out of guests, without thinking of their own comfort and convenience.

Review 9：Breakfast was same old, same old - not what I expected from a hotel of this caliber (e.g., pancake was even extra and champagne was 18 euros/glass). Staff seemed cool and uninterested in us especially when we rejected the spa services.

Review 24：Location is not within walking distance of anything special except the Wildpark (it's in the middle of a forest), but by car you can get to Potsdam center within 15 minutes. Hotel is pet friendly but they charge 15€/day extra for having a pet. Wifi was not the fastest.

Review 29：Being seated at an unattractive table at the back of the outdoor restaurant while a table next to the garden sat empty for the evening. Waitress with attitude. We booked the hotel because it had a gourmet restaurant. We requested a table for dinner in advance of our stay but no mention was made by the hotel that it was closed for several weeks during the summer months. Smokers in the room below. Terrible traffic jams between the hotel and Potsdam. It took us the best part of an hour to cover about the last kilometer to get to the hotel on one occasion. The 23 Euro breakfast. We skipped it and went to Potsdam where there are plenty of bakeries and cafes. Wi-fi only worked in the public area not in the room as advertised.

Review 30：Beautiful grounds and swimming pool with excellent facilities. Massage offered at short notice. The wine waiter who made our stay memorable with his knowledge of German as well as the wines of the rest of Europe. Free parking in the grounds.

At the reception I asked for a teapot to our room :an old men from the reception told that there is no something like this. Review 73：- sauna did not function, and there is only one, and since we booked for a hotel + spa experience, this was a downer. (unfortunately no attempt to compensate was made) -michelin star restaurant was closed. -breakfast for 19 euros: invites you to eat until you have the feeling to have spent your 19 euros. that's not stylish. of course the variety was enormous... -if you advocate nature surrounding you, make sure you have clear maps with hiking paths, and cycling routes to distribute to your guests (bikes for rent at 12 euros/day) -next refurbishing should focus on media and communication: wifi in the rooms instead of a cable (free please), more updated TV, including more foreign channels.

Set in the middle of a forest, the magnificent gardens and beautifully appointed buildings make this hotel a worthy Relais and Chateaux inclusion. The rooms were large and very well furnished - we were in the Garten Haus - and extremely comfortable. The staff are extremely competent and helpful. We had dinner at the hotels Austrian restaurant which is located at the beginning of the hotels front drive. Outstanding service and food here made our entire stay very memorable. Highly recommend

Review 80：It may be a little too much off the beaten track, especially if you don't want to eat in the (excellent) Michelin starred gourmet restaurant. As with many German hotels, you pay for internet and there is no wifi only cable connection.

Review 81：Lovely peaceful woodland setting outside Potsdam (so a car is essential). The hotel is luxurious in a tasteful restrained way. It's easy to get to Sanssouci park without going through Potsdam centre. The bedrooms are a good size and furnished to a high standard.

Review 86：The hotel facilities and service are absolutely not in accordance with their "official" 5-star rating nor with what one would come to expect from their "Relais et Chateaux" extensively advertised membership. Except for the truly wonderful location & nice spa/swimmingpool everything else appears below standards: - no airconditioning device in rooms - small beds (in both dimensions) - very limited breakfast buffet choice for a 5-star; no fresh juices; supplements charged for 'special' egg requests... - major mosquito problem on the premises and around/in the bedrooms; no protection means provided except for the rear and side windows; no insect repellent provided in rooms; in the absence of aircon this mosquito problem is beyond control without chemicals - bottled drinking water only supplied for the first night... (which is not 'normal' according to reception staff, but still did not get corrected the next day); so when it's hot and without AC you just have to drink from the tap... or empty the alcohol drinks from the minibar - after the first night, some towels left on the bathroom FLOOR were RECYCLED in dirty & WET condition back to the rack supposedly ready for for re-use: unseen in any hotel I ever visited! The location may be truly perfect, and the restaurant one of the most promising 'Jeune Restaurateurs' in Europe, but with the core hotel facilities way below reasonably expectable standards (not even worthy of 3-star) the rooms (252/254) & the service provided in/to the rooms we stayed in, were not even close to acceptable, considering the price charged and rating of this hotel. Review 109：The only slight criticism is that a closer eye should be kept on whennew towels, cold and hot water refills are needed in the spa. I had tosuggest in my minuscule German to a newly arrived couple that theyremoved towels from the loungers in order to use the sauna as the towelstorage area was empty.
