Review 1：No elevator, but it was only one floor up, so not a big deal. No physical reception after 8:00 pm, but they called us and arranged everything to get the key delivered.

Review 4：Lady from the reception was very warm and polite. Even if she said first on the phone that she speaks english a little bit, her english was perfect. Good WiFi connection. Breakfest very good. The room was very clean and cosy. Hotel location is perfect just 5 min away from the old city.

Review 5：Bathroom floor tiles cracked & moving, needs some finishing touches in coridor - where fresh plastering is visible and not been painted - really spoils the whole impression..otherwise everything else wonderfull.

Review 8：We arrived on a Sunday afternoon. The lady at the reception desk was very helpful and friendly, although she could only speak German. However this wasn't a problem for us, as I can speak German. However, even if I weren't able to speak German, I doubt it would've been a problem, because she was very active and thorough during the conversation we had. The room was wonderful - lots of space and very quiet. We got a king-sized bed and a rolled-out couch-bed. Our room was in the corner of the hotel on the second floor looking into the intersection, very nice to be able to observe daily German traffic. Wifi speed and connection was good, although having to log in every hour was a little annoying. Breakfast was splendid. There was a nice lady who served us coffee. She didn't speak English, however she was friendly. The only member of the staff who spoke English with us was the man at the check-out. All in all Cottbus is a nice place to stay. I recommend this hotel.

Review 9：Pillows too soft (my opinion, my husband liked them); would have been nice with an option. Shame that the restaurant/bar is only used for breakfast.

Review 10：Our room was very clean and that was the overall opinion that we had about the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly. Good location within walking distance to the old town. Off street parking directly next to the hotel.

The staff practise old style hospitality, which is not common anymore even for the 5 star business hotels I visit regularly. Baby friendly, dog friendly, worth visiting again.

Review 54：1. The room was very very cold at night ( because they turn off the heat during the night) so I got sick and I had to ceck out immediatly. 2. The water stops after a few seconds ( for economy) and if you wash you hands or take a shower you always have tu push the button to start the water. I have never seen anything like this. 3. The bathroom has no heating so if you want to take a shower durind the winter prepare youself: you will freeze!!!! I'still on medication after only one night spent in this hotel. 4. No elevator.

Perhaps a lift could be installed to save wear & tear on old joints. The noise from the street was a concern, especially when trying to ventilate the room in the heat of the day/night.

Rooms very large, clean & bright. Breakfast was excellent with a large assortment to select from, both hot & cold dishes. We hired bicycles (from the hotel), rode to Branitz park & all sights along the river Spree & beyond. Dining in the Aldstadt was a delight.

Review 62：Our windows were fronting the street where it somehow was super noisy. There were lots of people in the bar/restaurant/club (we didn't have time to see what exactly it was) and we couldn't sleep with the open windows though it was summer and it was pretty hot in the rooms. When we closed the windows it didn't help much.

Review 63：The staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived late at night, the key and the note with all the necessary details had been left for us at reception. The breakfast was good, rooms - clean, there were enough space for morning exercises. The bathrooms were clean. We stayed just for the night as we were passing the city on our way to another destination so we didn't have a chance to see more.
