Review 2：The hotel was perfect in the sense that it was clean, near the city centre and the staff were quite friendly and helpful. In addition, the breakfast was also really good. I would say that if I am planning to go to Oldenburg once more, I would definitely go to the Hermes hotel.

Review 11：The position is very convenient for someone depending on public transportation and trains. The area surrounding the hotel is interesting for a walk itself. The breakfast buffet was awesome, even including smoked salmon. Very tasty way to start your way! Free beer cabinet in the hallway :-)

Review 12：The appearance of the hotel is a tad unprepossessing but we much appreciated the free parking just outside the door and the accommodation is very good indeed - modern, spacious and comfortable. Not only the bedroom but an almost separate sitting area with sofa and armchairs and large screen television. It is about a 12-15 minute walk into town past a restaurant (der Schwan) where we had a good meal. We thought reception particularly helpful and were impressed by the free drinks both in the room and in the vestibule. A warm recommendation.

Review 18：Not the most salubrious of surroundings, and a bit of a walk from the centre for an evening meal/drink.

Review 19：Quite basic hotel but very clean, recently decorated, all fixtures in good condition and working. Very much liked the complimentary soft drinks fridge (including beer!) on each floor, and the complimentary ice cream near reception. Thoroughly decent hotel for business traveller, perhaps not quite what one would look for a family trip. Cannot fault the value.

Review 23：The internet connection was completely down the night and next morning I stayed. The last time I stayed here it was unstable. This is very bad, as I selected the hotel because it has internet in the rooms.

Review 25：This is a small hotel situated close to the centre of Oldenburg. It is easy to find, with good parking. The room was excellent, clean and well-appointed. Reception were very helpful in recommending a place to eat whin a three minute walk of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent - not always the case on a Saturday morning when some business / city hotels cut back on the range of food offered. Oldenburg was an excellent place to stop on our route back to the ferry at Ijmuiden and we will certainly plan to return again next year and stay for two nights so we can see something more of this small but attractive city.

Review 26：One room for two sisters was equipped for one-including having only one duvet. This was pointed out and remedied with apologies.

Review 28：The free cooled drinks available on any floor are great. So are the free coffee and free ice cream during daytime, the latter especially when it's hot outside. The breakfast buffet offers a large selection of things and is available until 11 am on weekends, which was perfect for us. Within a few walking minutes, one can reach the train station including the bike station where one can rent bikes.

Review 29：The internet access with WiFi is good but their default DNS server is sluggish. That can be fixed easily by changing it into a pubic DNS server such as the one provided by Google.

Review 30：This is an excellent hotel. The room is solidly furnished in a modern style and perfectly clean. The breakfast is very good with a lot of choices. The drinks include excellent cappuccino! They provide excellent coffee for free while the office is open. Wonderful.

Review 31：June6,2012- We( two lady travellers) found the staff very accomodating in caling a cab, giving directions, checking on train schedules. We appreciated the available computer, as we do not travel with a laptop or phone. The complimentary drinks were a delightful touch, much appreciated after a weary days travel. The approximitity to the rail station was very convenientt.

Itis located about 200 mets the station (and about 600 mets from the citycentre), but station closeness was important to me. Limited eatingplaces nearby. A modern, quite large hotel which I would recommend.

Review 33：We were travelling through and needed a place to sleep for the night. The hotel was incredibly wonderful and i regret that we did not have more time to enjoy it and the beautiful city. The rooms were large, well appointed with kitchen and large work desk as well a small sofa and TV. The internet was free ( not so common over there) and there was a refrigerator on each floor with beer, and soft drinks and sparkling water which was for guests and was FREE. Amazing. I thought this was a tremendously comfortable, and clean hotel which really tried to take care of its guests.
