Review 1：Was interesting trying to find the hotel all the signs on the outside of the hotel said "Empire" Hotel - the Cobb was only imprinted on the glass around the doors and windows.
Review 2：Very, VERY noisy. It's basically like sleeping with a nightclub just next door. You can feel your bed and the windows vibrate to the very loud music all night. This hotel shouldn't be on booking.com as it is clearly not intended to clients in search of a place to sleep while visiting the area.
Review 3：Very dirty bed sheet , cover , water bottle . Found hair on the bed . Noisy street especially from Wednesday to weekend . Irresponsible stuff don't even care costumers' requests.
Review 4：The light in our shower didn't work, so was quite dark when you had a shower, couple of the other lights didn't work in the room.

Review 7：The service n food was excellent. I just found the bed too hard because I have had to full hip operations. I found the noise from downstairs was quite muted n didn't disturb me at all.

Review 25：As i was staying in the middle of winter, at the time of booking i had requested an electric blanket for my bed. When i checked in i checked that my room had an electric blanket and was assured one would have been put on as I'd requested. Got to my room and found no electric blanket on any of the 3 beds. It took about 20 mins to ascertain that none of their beds had them and then a further 5 minutes to get a refund. The staff should know their facility better, but an email telling me the situation before i arrived would have been preferable.

Review 30：Bed, leaking roof and noisy guests between 3 and 5am. As of today 4 nights after we stayed at the Empire we have not been reimbursed anything. We're like a full reimbursement please $178 as the whole experience was very unsatisfactory.

Review 38：It was too loud to find at least a bit sleep even after 2am. We had a lot of problems because our first key broke and the second one didn't work at all. After that we were able to change the room. Here it was even louder but the room cleanless and facilities were a bit better. We didn't enjoy our stay and were happy to leave after 2 awful nights.

They say that it is noisy Thurs,Fri and Sat but don't say they have Karaoke till 3am and is very very noisy. Staff were virtually non existant. They rang me on the Thursday day we were meant to stay to say they had us booked in on Wednesday not Thursday. Woke up in the morning with bugs crawling in the bed. When brought it to the attention of staff they didn't seem concerned.

Review 72：hotel only provided 3 tea bags for 3 people for 2 days! had to ask for more, only provided 2 towels for 3 people for both days had to ask twice for another each day second day it never arrived. I found an unmentionable item under the bed when checking as we left,proof of lack of cleaning. went to the bar for a meal, asked for a table, they were having a quiz night and our table was only available for 30 minutes, took 20 to get the meal, so we were rushed. pics on the advertising showed a lovely tiled bar area overlooking the town, this area is closed off and only used for private functions. I suggest that it could have been used for guests to have their meals.
Review 73：the hotel was walking distance to malls for shopping, cafes, restaurants and bars. parking was provided. the room was warm and the beds were comfortable. The hotel has history and character such a shame as this hotel could do way better.
Review 74：The toilet had a peice of paper on it saying it had been hygenically cleaned, but who ever had cleaned it left some floaters that needed a second flush. Also Wednesday was Karaoke night til 3 am, not just the late night Thursday, Friday and Saturday as was advertised.

Review 76：DIRTY: Big stain on sheet. Staff changed it but new sheet had 1 cm wide drop of blood or perhaps dark jam on it. Some sort of white gunk on duvee covers - both sides. Someone's hair inside one of the flannels. Brown gunk inside kettle. At that point my room was upgraded. MEGANOISE: I stayed on a Friday night. Only on checking in was I warned of the noise. Premium rooms are further from hotel's own bar but closer to bar next door so I had full on pub noice - bass, loud music, screaming drunk people in the street - until 4:30am. Bar closed at 3am but people stayed yelling and partying outside my window until 4:30. NO LIFT: Probably not a problem for most but for some it will be - steep stairs and bags were difficult for me. Maybe you could say on your site that all rooms are upstairs and there's no lift? It wouldn't have stopped my booking but others will be less mobile and should know. FIRE EXIT: Suggest you update your safety signs to show where the fire exits are rather than just saying to use them and where to gather. SUMMARY: My reason for not returning won't be the stairs but first the lack of cleanliness and second the noise - which I suspect would have been less earlier in the week.
Review 77：The night manager was great - very helpful. Upgraded me to premium room due to grubbiness of Room 1 at no extra cost. The price was good but your site shows the cheap price alongside a pic of the premium rooms. Even that price of $69 was shown to be cut from $89 which might have been OK for the premium but not for the normal rooms (ie rooms 1-6 right at top of stairs).
