Review 9：There's a long flight of steps up to the front door which we didn't mind, but which might be a problem for someone less mobile or with a lot of luggage. I didn't like the background music in the lounge when I went in there to have a snack and write emails, but couldn't find a way of turning it off. The wifi connection at the hotel didn't work very well on my iPad, but my husband had no such problems with his laptop computer.
Review 10：The hotel is in a peaceful location at the top end of a park, five minutes walk from the town centre and Kurpark entrance, with an accessible mineral spring a few steps away that you can see from the dining room windows. Uphill, in the other direction is the entrance to hiking trails on the Bromberg. The hotel also has its own garden. This is a quiet spa town and the visitors tend to be elderly. The hotel manager sold us access tickets to the Kurpark––which deserves its reputation of being "the most beautiful park in Germany"––and was also helpful when we needed a taxi to the station. All the hotel staff were friendly and courteous towards us. We arrived three hours before the official check-in time but were allowed immediate access to our room. If you feel like a drink or snack at any time of the day you can help yourself to what's available in the lounge for a small fee, writing it down to be charged to your room. Our beds were very comfortable; the ensuite facilities had a shower and heated towel rails but no bath tub. The spacious rooms have easy to open windows and balconies with deck chairs overlooking the park; the only "noise" you're aware of is birdsong. Breakfast is included in the price of the stay and consists of a buffet offering plenty of choice with coffee (no decaffeinated coffee was available) or tea; the waiter also offered to cook fried eggs for us.
