Review 1：On Monday, the staff has day off. When you check in on Monday, you need to call owner's mobile, then you know the access code for the key box, which is located next to the entrance door. The mobile number is indicated on the document on the entrance door although it is only in German language.

Review 8：One of my favorite places in the area. I have many customers around. Good price, nice Blackforest style family owned hotel. Delicious food ( many locals at night ) and breakfast. Also for leisure there are many hiking and biking trails around...
Review 9：If possible avoid arriving on Monday - staff 'day-off'. The hotel was closed and access was gained by searching the names alongside doorbells. (No phone signal or public telephone). There was no answer at the hotel's main entrance door. First morning - after agreeing a suitable time, arrived for breakfast to find no staff to provide hot drinks at the table and had to liberate an earlier guest's 'part-pot'. Had to wait over 25 minutes before owner made offer of service. I would stress however, this was not repeated the next day and did not distract from the food quality.
Review 10：Our room was spotless, well fitted out and serviced every day. The bathroom & shower, were very good and the bed was large & comfortable. The food was excellent (we had lunch & dinner) with a good variety at breakfast, including the usual delicious bread, meat, cheese & conserves. The location is first-class for hiking or cycling in the Black Forest. The routes are well signed from outside the hotel and the scenery outstanding. There are plenty of helpful outlets for the fabulous local wine, set amongst mile after mile of vineyards. The region was full of colour and photogenic buildings, that were a delight just to amble around. Parking was off road, immediatley outside the hotel.

Review 12：Everything. The location was within easy reach of Baden Baden and the Black Forest. The rooms were clean and presented to a high standard. The restaurant area was full of character and the dining experience wonderful. Food was great as was the morning breakfast, especially the scrambled eggs. The hosts and their team were perfect.

Review 14：Excellent double room with large bathroom and balcony at the top of the Hotel with superb views of the mountains. The owning couple gave us a warm welcome and were extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was wonderful with a good choice of items, many homemade. Dinner in the Restaurant was delicious.
