Reviews for Hotel & Spa Am Oppspring
Review 1:Noisy room bizarrly helped me sleep really well seemed to be on a truck and train route. Shower more suited to quozzy moda as in roof room 7 and had to stoop to wash...never good!
Review 2:Loved fact get access for free to the spa which has bistro. Arrived about 7pm and able to get some food and have a swim. (Do not try this at home)
Review 3:The spa and breakfast in the facility next to the hotel. For the toilet you had to go back to the hotel.
Review 4:The room was good. Very clean as also the bathroom
Review 5:The only aspect that disturbed me was the cleaning staff constantly reducing my heating I the room although days were quite cold. Moreover, the spa area was quite cold, although well equipped, which makes me recommend the stay there only for warm summer days.
Review 6:The staff was absolutely wonderful, very responsive and professional! I arrived late, yet my room was organized as the key left at the reception; I was served delicious gluten- and lactose-free meals for breakfast; I got a kettle in the room for tea preparation as getting sick...facilities are elegantly decorated and clean. Overall, a very pleasant stay that made my business trip more efficient and enjoyable.
Review 7:Poor facilities. Was post operative and asked the manager for some assistance with where/how to get food as no where in the vicinity. Took him an hour to agree to speak to me and my adult daughter and he offered no assistance at all. My daughter went to a supermarket and bought food we ate in the room but no kettle in room and no access to hot drinks except at breakfast. All in all a miserable experience I do not ever want to repeat.
Review 8:nothing
Review 9:That we didn´t have enough time to enjoy the spa-area :-)
Review 10:We arrived late, but the owner was there to great us. Very nice staff and hotel is placed together with a superb wellness garden and a nice place to relax. The breakfast was complete and tasty and the room was nice, clean and stylish.
Review 11:We stayed on top of the hotel. This was not a good location for the wifi- connection. For having connection we had to go all the way to the first floor in the breakfast room. There was however no problem for the staff for us using the room. But still they should fix this.
Review 12:staff was friendly. The location was perfect for the plans we made.
Review 13:The internet connection was not reliable and of course based on the location the traffic noise is unpleasant.
Review 14:Years ago I stayed in the hotel and liked the sauna and pool facilities. Still in excellent shape and I enjoyed it again. The pros outweigh the cons!
Review 15:Wifi in room was not working. There was little noise while the car was passing by at night but okay. Tea-Coffee making facility would be good.
Review 16:Sauna & Swimming facilities & that we got the value deal on that day. Staff was very friendly & caring. Breakfast was good. They have many sauna rooms; actually this is a wellness center & many local people just go for the day. Car parking was free in that area. There was a kitchen in the room though we did not expect & was no use for us for 1 night & no tea making facility.
Review 17:Our only criticism was that the room seemed to get incredibly hot at night as no air con , and I expect the heat accumulated from the saunas etc . We didn't expect the users of the spa to be naked but now we understand that is part of German culture when using saunas . We would still return as thought it was great value for money . Review 18:We chose the hotel as it had free use of the facilities in the spa next door. We wanted a few days to chill by a pool outside -there was also an indoor pool and 6 saunas and a steam room . We could also book massages . We were given robes , towels and flip flops . We thought it was great , only surprise was that the clients were naked when using the facilities which we weren't expecting but we kept our swim wear on and soon adjusted to the situation . We could buy drinks from the snack bar and we both had a massage which was excellent and really helped our backs . The breakfast was included in the price and our room was spacious and had a huge bathroom and a terrace . The staff were really helpful and spoke English . We would definitely come back .
Review 19:* breakfast * central location * public transport nearby

Review 23:the place and the environment
Review 24:Very nice SPA included in the hotel's cost.
Review 25:my room was in the side of a street, so I was awake very, very early in the morning.
Review 26:Leaving as its such a lovely place
Review 27:Room Breakfast Facilities Location
Review 28:First of all in my privat opinion this is not a hotel a something like B&B, guest house. We arrived to this place 8 of June. We were planning to stay for 2 days. We planned this weekend from very long time. I usually use booking.com and base on their opinions. This time everything went wrong. Just after we arrived we went to the garden order some food. We had to wait for an hour. Food really bad. My wife got food poison after she had heringsfilet. Friday evening we wanted go to the garden, enjoy free air in that warmy evening. Negative suprissed was the acces to the garden was not possible. Because when Spa finish work everything goes down. No access to garden, swimming pool, etc. So there is really nothing to do. We've got room at the attic. Extremly warmy and noisy. So woke up next day with headache. We went for breakfast and after that I spoke to receptionist why they do not warn customers that hotel activities depends on Spa working hours? That acess to swimming pool and garden is limiteted? Guess what I found out...She told me that because is Monday Bank Holiday today (9 of June) everthing is closed, no access to garden, swimming pool, etc. So the only thing to do for us would be sitting on the attic in warmy room with no aircon. We were very disapointed and we said we want to come back home because this is joke. Receptionist was very nice, apologize and agreed with us is not fair that nobody told us they completly close on Monday Bank Holiday and that acess to hotel activites is limited. She told us they will refund us money for second day as we left in the morning after one night. It's been already 10 days after and they completly ignore me. Did not refund money for second day. They sent me e-mail, promised they will refund, so far did not get anything. We have ruined our weekend. Very bad experience. Never come back there.
Review 29:monotonuous breakfast !!! no possibility telephone in a room, and absence of day - night reception service or help
Review 30:during all stay you feel welcome, and service in spa is extra!! many thanks for beautiful and clean hotel suite !!!
Review 31:Pity the patio did not have a few chairs with the weather being so beautiful it would of been nice to have been able to sit outside.
Review 32:The room was lovely, very clean breakfast was ample and the staff were friendly nothing was too much bother. A very enjoyable stay
Review 33:The windows of the room are on the main street (where the Strassenbahn passes by). Albeit the new double glazing of the windows, the problem is that the manufacturer builded them wrongly : the new windows are not noise-proof and they are not isolating the room. If the hotel can hire a good lawyer, they should bring the manufacturer of the windows to the judge. The window on the balcony you see on the picture is locked and there is no way to open it. Therefore even if you switch the heating of the room to the top, and the heating is a the top gradenumber 5, the room is still not warm simply because the windowsand their frames are not of good isolation quality. Still there is a problem of mispractice from the manufacturer of teh windows. Each room has a TV with German language channels, so you can improve your knowledge of German. Another point is that sauna and pool and garden are in a detached building. So in Winter or cold Spring you need wearing your shoes and coat and pass from one building to another. The swimming pool is under reconstruction (the picture shows you a white cealing, but this is not today April 2013 as the ceiling was opened to fix the pipelines): the style of the swimming pool (25 square meters generously) is of the Seventies as the other premises of this part of the building, yet everywhere is perfectly clean. Inside the same building there are saunas with very quiet rest room, they also offer the outside swimming pool, but it is not heated (therefore you need to wait warm days of summer). My final advice is you can see the Street viewer on google maps and have a virtual tour around the street before you decide if you like the place.
Review 34:The hotel management makes all possible efforts to make your staying nice. The villa on the main street has been recently refurbished and renovated. All rugs and walls and furniture are new. There is the touch of an architect inside and doubtlessly this renovation has costed quite a money. There is also a new and modern fully equipped kitchen in a separate common room : we had no interest to go out and we backed a pizza by ourselves (on the close streets there are a couple of supermarket). the Landlady is extremely welcoming and nice: she prepars herself the breakfast which is in the best German tradition ( a mountain of German breads of different sorts, a quantity of German cheese, salami, ham, yogu, eggs, bars of chocolade, etc etc etc and a big quantity of coffee, tea, chockolade). Entrance to the swimming pool and sauna is included in the price. A very good point for ladies is that they have their own separate sauna where men may not be admitted . Also Ladies have their own restroom where men are not welcome. There were very few people: maybe three or four couple in all, no kids. However there is still another 2 saunas and one steam hammam where everybody can enter. They also offer quite a number of paying services for fango, therapy of the bones but you need booking in advance before you arrive
Review 35:I could hardly get connected to the WIFI network. I assume they set a limit of devices that can be connected to the access point, so most of the time it was not possible to join the network.
Review 36:spotlessly clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, quiet room (inner side of the house)
Review 37:The hotel reception is non-existent so there seems to be no-one aroundto help. If it wasnt for other guests, we wouldnt have know even whereto go for breakfast as it is in the building next door; location is on amain road (road noise), and a car is a strongly recommended as there areno food options nearby. We walked into town and back, but it was uphillto return and took us a good half hour in the drizzle. Internet didntwork on the top floor and was unable to be resolved while we were thereso we had to walk down two floors to get wifi each time.
Review 38:Breakfast was lovely, room comfortable; staff were friendly
Review 39:Outdoor pool for nudists only ! Bit of a shock as we didnt really know this in advance. Receptionist tried to explain but language barrier a problem !
Review 40:Really nice room and great breakfast.
Review 41:The sauna / swimming pool facilities are mixed, as is the (single)dressing room and showers. This was not fully clear to us from theinformation listed on the website of the hotel.Parking facilities with the hotel itself are limited to smaller cars.
Review 42:Easy to reach; clean and spacious rooms; extremely helpful and veryfriendly staff; sauna / swimming pool facilities.
Review 43:Although we had promisses for wi fi, during our stay we haven'T.Internet it's really important for people on a business trip.I recommend this Hotel only if they fix this issue.
Review 44:Small hotel – standard equal to price (not bad indeed), but freeprofessional sauna club is perfect. Good place for rest if you likesauna and need rest.
Review 45:A little hard to find, + tight parking
Review 46:View from room Cleanliness Breakfast Spa (though did not have time to use)
Review 47:Pillow could be better
