Review 1：Had requested a queen size bed (for the second time) but recieved two single beds next to each other instead. The beds separated during the night ! :-(

Review 2：Nice and quiet location with friendly staff. The buffé breakfast is ok. Maybe a bit under staffed.

Review 3：Terribly slow internet, both via cable and Wi-Fi. Underground parking is not included in room price (there's a free parking next to the hotel but there's really no reason not to make the underground one available to guests).

Review 4：The location of the hotel is tremendous, with a nice view of the bay and surrounded by trees. Breakfasts are fantastic, although on the pricey side. The place is definitely old-school and gives a 80's vibe, which can be both good and bad - I liked it.

Review 8：Nice swimming pool but the water is a bit too cool for an indoor pool. The hotel is far from town so you need a car. The rooms are nice but a bit rundown and there are two single mattresses on the double beds. The restaurant has a nice view but the choice of food isn't that vast. The bar is open till 1am and serves snacks. It was fine but I probably wouldn't go back.

Review 11：Rooms are bad bad bad. We paid 335€ for 2 nights in a superior room, the room was not as in the pictures (view, furnitures etc. etc.) take a standard room, there are much better. There was mold in the bathroom, drapes were torn, ceiling paint was coming down, furnitures was from the 70's, TV was small, the room smelled funky and was dirty, NO FIRE ALARM IN THE ROOMS, Breakfast was 18€ per person, Dinner was around 30-45 per person, parking was 10€…

Review 13：Decor is a bit dated. Furniture, carpets, kitchenette all seemed like 1960's original. Balcony only had two plastic chairs. Some balconies had awnings but my room did not so we had no shade. Not much local interest brochures. Staff had no map of the area and didn't seem to know their way around very well. Parking very limited.

Review 14：Beautiful views of the bay from rooms and dining room, wonderful breakfast on the patio, spacious rooms, nice balconies. Nice area of the city. Easy to get to the waterfront either by car, bike or on foot. Nice layout of the hotel.

Review 44：For the cost, the "modern", or "updated" accommodations were slight. There was apparently an ownership appartments grouping within the building undergoing renovation beginning at 7:30 AM which was "out of Maratim's control?, but very annoying, especially for the cost , and for a weary traveler looking for a few more minutes sleep.

Review 50：After a long drive through torrential rain through Germany, we werelooking forwrd to some pleasant environment. Althoughthe stay was notunpleasant, it was not as expected.The description of of superior room we booked stated 'with panoramic views of the bay' and was accompanied by a beautiful picture of the Kiel fjord. We did get a superior room with a balcony by only side views of the bay as the room was not on the sea side. At the reception we were told that we booked a superior room and this is what we got. I think that booking.com should review their description of the room as this is false advertizing. We also ordered a non smoing room and the room was a smoking room. The hotel staff said that they were sorry and did not charge us for parking.

Review 52：The installations look old, and are old fashioned. The hotel needs anurgent update. After a rehab, the hotel should be fantastic, because thelocation is superb.

Review 54：The hotel was built 1972, for the Olympic Sailing Competitions held inthe city of Kiel back then. It has since been partly renovated, but insome places the charme of the 70ies still haunts the place.

Review 55：The hotel is located in posh quarter Düsternbrook, right next to theFirth of Kiel, and rooms are looking at either the Park/Forest or theFirth. I stayed with my little son (1.5 years old), to visit thegrandparents - personnel was helpful and service was great! The littleone and his grandparents had a great time!
