Reviews for Pension Rauschenstein und Apartments Forsthaus
Review 1:Room a bit cold in winter (-8 celsius outside).
Review 2:Comfortable bed, great location at the entrance of the National Park, delicious free breakfast buffet at Helvetia. Very tasty dinners. Paradise for vegans & vegetarians. Staff were very thoughtful. No wifi, which is refreshing for us.
Review 3:All businesses in Schmilka seem to be run by one company/syndicate. Hotel Helvetia, pension Rauschenstein and Forsthaus, Café Richter, the brewery and the bakery are all very tightly linked. Though they all offer good quality it would be fair if they were more open about that (in particular on internet) This 'monopoly' also reflects in the (too) high prices for the accomodation.
Review 4:Nice old building, full of atmosphere. Schmilka is a funny, pleasant place, a small paradise for people who want to enjoy organic food (great veggie and vegan food in "Helvetia" ) and drinks (good "Bio Bier)
Review 5:Unfortunately, upon arrival at the "Muehle", we asked aroundwhere we could check into our room. No one could help us. We found asmall sign sending us down to another Hotel, 2 minutes walk from themill. No one was available there and we found another sign sending us toanother hotel 10 minutes walk away. How can you not tell your guestswhere to check in? We had to carry all our luggage etc with us and whenwe finally got to the hotel in which we could check in, had to waitanother 15 minutes until someone could finally serve us. The of coursewe walked all the way back to the "Muehle" so we could finallyget to the room. No information on breakfast was available anywherewhich ended in us being too late for the breakfast at Cafe Richter (5minute walk) on a Sunday at 10.15 but then got send to another hotelagain which had breakfast on until 11pm. It was a nice room, but nothanks. Not again.
Review 6:The room and town were lovely.
Review 7:Travel in time, away from Internet, microwave, dishwasher to time when things were simpler. As stated on the front of the house - electric light, running water and central heating. It was very warm and cosy giving perfect base for hiking in snow covered trails. As my wife said it was like living in a museum. And kids loved it also. A traditional bakery and brewery next door added up to magical holidays.
Review 8:The building was in the middle of the town and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Review 9:Uncomfortable bed, moist feeling in the building , poor service for this money.
Review 10:Beautiful environment , nice place for breakfast.
