Review 1：The whole place was totally closed up and locked when we arrived, apparently they 'take Mondays off', a pity we were not informed about this before our stay, which I had booked over five months ago, if it hadn't been for a kind shop assistant near by, we would have been in serious trouble, as the brief instructions to locate a key to let ourselves in for the night to an empty hotel were in a German accent very rapidly. I don't speak that language so I found it difficult to understand, when I asked the person to repeat it, he coldly told me he had informed me as to where to find the key etc. Now this was a rather above average priced hotel stay for two nights, I was not at all happy with the experience, a shame as we had such a good trip otherwise ! We wont be returning !

Review 6：I really liked the atmosphere of the hotel, with the nice wooden furniture and floors. Our room was built around the city wall, loved that! And the food in the restaurant is really good as well. Good value for money.
Review 7：Kastellaun is a VERY small town, so if you're looking for tons to do, this is not the place for you. We stayed here as a stopover on a road trip which was perfect, but I don't think there would be enough to see to occupy more than a day here.
Review 8：The owners were extremely helpful. They went out of the way to ensure that every part of our visit was positive. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was delicious and very reasonably priced. The place is impeccably decorated, with exposed brick walls and antique pieces on every wall. We loved the feel of history in the place, and it was really cool to see the part of the hotel that was built out of the old town's medieval walls! We would definitely stay here again.
