Review 1：playground requires maintenance, health hazard at the moment (holes in the carousel's floor!!), it would be helpful to have at the reception town plan to show how to walk to the center, as the hotel is located at the town's border

Review 4：The room was huge with 2 floors. Staff is extremely helpful. The hotel is very modern & clean. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located next to major attractions such as Cochem, Eltz, Beilstein towns with medieval castles. There is a kids playground & a nice garden. Free wi fi & parking.

Review 5：Wifi disconnects. Ran out of soap, but it was not replaced with a new one, realized that only before bath before bed time.

Review 8：Anika was wonderful. She couldn't speak English and we couldn't speak German, but she went out of her way to help us. Very sweet girl!

Review 9：Gym a bit disappointing - more like a collection of equipment in a spare room. Shower very powerful but on one occasion flooded the bathroom floor. But all in all it was a very good hotel.

Review 10：Nice location - rural setting but the town just 10 minutes walk away. Extensive breakfast buffet- seems better on a Sunday morning. Evening meal in restaurant very good too. Comfortable beds and great shutters enabled a very good night's sleep. Staff very friendly - enjoyed watching Germany win 7-1 with them!

Review 12：This was a great hotel. The building design was open and spacious and the rooms well equiped and very clean. Very nice touches and a good place to be able to relax and unwind. Staff friendly and helpful. I also felt it was good value for money especially coming from South Africa with our very weak currency.

Review 13：If you forget to turn off (or log out) from their WiFi, the 6 hours free WiFi expires! Unfortunately I didn't before going to bed... :-(

Review 14：The receptionist accepted to let me park my motorbike in a safe place that was not supposed to be a parking place (all garages were full). THANKS! My dinner at the restaurant was delicious.

Review 19：There was nothing I did not like about my stay in the BurgStadt-Hotel, because even when there was a little hiccup there --- the hotel restaurant was fully booked on Saturday night --- the staff arranged for me to be able to get a taxi to wait for me as I picked up a Chinese Take Away. So, I had a little picnic in the bar of the hotel and that was good too!

Review 20：The first thing that struck me on my first contact with the hotel -- I had to call from overseas before I came -- was the friendliness. The staff member was so helpful and a good listener to my concerns. On my arrival, that same friendliness was there in all the staff members I met. What was most amazing was that the owners of the hotel are there on hand and ready to be at your service without any fuss and without drawing attention to themselves. It is a family-run business and in my short stay, a weekend, I got to meet all four members of the family, the parents and the daughter and son, and each has helped me in very distinct manner. They treated me as if I was a family member but without any drama about it. I have never encountered such friendliness and kindness in any of the countless hotels I have stayed in all over the world.I was also particularly impressed by the interior design of the hotel and my room met all my requirements 100% and more. I had a most beautiful view of the "Burg" which is why the hotel is called "BurgStadt-Hotel" which when at night you see it lit, it is like you have a private panorama in your own bedroom.Another extraordinary thing that happened to me was that in my long travel from Frankfurt Airport via Koblenz to Kastellaun where the hotel is, I forgot that I had food in my backpack and it spilled over into all the contents and the bag itself. The hotel staff very kindly washed my backpack (and it was Saturday!) and returned it to me within hours! And without charge!!! Where would you get such KINDNESS in the world???My travel was completely unplanned. I had to come for the funeral of my friend's mother. I had never been to that part of Germany and now because of the hotel owners and staff, I am considering bringing a group from Ireland for a holiday there, staying in the BurgStadt-Hotel. I have done something like this for a group of friends travelling to Rome in the past.

Review 21：Wifi access was very difficult, minimal at best...a big disappointment. When it did work briefly, it functioned only in the lobby area---not an ideal place because the bar and lounge were there, too.

Review 22：Ideal location for relaxing (calm and quiet); yet village was quite near, for restaurants or bars...Breakfast offered great variety of both hot and cold items for any preference...very yummy. Tall glass "walls" in breakfast area permitted nice view of countryside. Reasonably comfortable bed. LOTS of parking with easy, close access to hotel entries.

Review 23：Fairly expensive - 169 euro for 2 adults 2 children b&B. The restaurantfor dinner was good quality but very slow service.

Review 24：Walking distance to a beautiful small village; next to a 40km cyclepath; we had the 4-bed family room, which was very large on two levels,really a nice space. Exceptional buffet breakfast.
