Reviews for City Hotel Krefeld
Review 1:No vanity (toothpaste, toothbrush and Q-tips). The smell in the room leaves much to be desired, but it's tolerable.
Review 2:Very comfortable beds and pillows. Really good breakfast. The localization of City Hotel Krefeld is very nice. It's located in the city center and there's a well-stocked supermarket next door. The staff communicates fluently in English.
Review 3:The location is fine & fairly central to everything in the town, but be aware that you have the trams running until at least 1am if you are situated at the front of the building, & neighbours to the Hotel at the rear of the building, both can be noisy when the want to be. This is not the fault of the hotel itself, but due to its location. Otherwise the hotel is quite basic but very clean & organised.
Review 4:Lovely, kind & very helpful staff. The language barrier was not a problem with me, as they spoke very good English, & although the rooms were basic & the breakfast had a real German touch, it was still enjoyable & filling, & what the hotel lacked in the way of food, there is many eateries & a supermarket nearby to fulfil any of your food needs. The rooms were cleaned daily, & without invasion of privacy. I was made to feel welcome at all times, & would clearly return to the City Hotel at any time in the future, in fact, I wished that I could have stayed longer.
Review 5:I had broken my leg and could not get into the tall bathtub. On the bring side, there was a handheld shower which was a real blessing.
Review 6:We had what I would describe a true German experience. Really enjoyed our experience.
Review 7:No matter what 3-star or 2-star hotel, some personal care should be provided, such as toothbrush, toothpaste, slipper, pot, drinking water or even free wifi internet. The breakfast is very very bad. The room size is very small, rental price is too expensive even if far away from urban area.
Review 8:dust in bedroom, ugly area, premises not pretty, dust in bedroom
Review 9:walking distance from station, direct tram to university, friendly reception staff
Review 10:Hotel was closed from 1300 to 1500. Having agreed an early check in, we had to kill an hour before we could get in. Poor bed pillows
Review 11:The price
Review 12:room rate
Review 13:location close to railway station, good breakfast, clean bed and bathroom.
Review 14:They have Not Wifi...
Review 15:Run-down place in a shabby quarter of an ugly town. If you can avoid both hotel and Krefeld, better do it.
Review 16:No wifi
Review 17:Short walk from Train station. Not far from centre of town
Review 18:The area of the twon is not great, its quite run-down. Any hotel these days should have free wifi for their guests, they did not. Breakfast was nothing special. The hotel was fine for one night, if you MUST stay in Krefeld. Otherwise its not really worth spending a night here.
Review 19:The parking is convienent and not too expensive. Checkin was friendly, and the room was clean.
Review 20:Closing time of the parking is at 22.30; and it is forbidden to park in the street in front of the hotel. The smell in the room, even if no smoking one, the poor breakfast.
Review 21:The kindness of the staff.
Review 22:The wall between the room I stayed and the next room was like an amplifier. Hearing the snoring of the person sleeping in the next room was not pleasant. I will still rate the hotel as 'I would recommend it' given the value for money.
Review 23:Good quality breakfast, a lot of TV channels around the world, comfortable bed.
Review 24:Wiff in charge, parking in charge,
Review 25:helpful stuff
Review 26:Only 7-10 minutes walking from Krefeld HBF station
Review 27:no tea/ coffee making facility in the room
Review 28:convenient, near the main railway station with easy acess to dusseldorf and cologne
