Reviews for B&B Hotel Kaiserslautern

Review 1:The twin beds. It was so low and looked like children's bed. I hope they replace it with adult type beds.

Review 2:Location, front desk staff, and breakfast

Review 3:Located on a busy intersection, so if your room faces the road you get a lot of traffic noise. Staff level of English sometimes a bit challenging. No vegan options for breakfast except some fruit.

Review 4:Location is a few minutes walk to the nice downtown pedestrian mall. Also a few minutes walk to main train station. Staff is nice and helpful. Great shower. Good value for money.

Review 5:It would have been nice to have more in room amenities like a mini fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. The breakfast for 7.5 euro is far too expensive for what you get.

Review 6:We liked the close proximity to the train station. We also liked the many grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The weekend reception staff especially was excellent; helpful and understanding.

Review 7:Pillow is a little thin and there's only one.

Review 8:There's nothing fancy, but the hotel is clean and the rooms are very efficient. The bathrooms are great with better water pressure than anywhere in Europe. Plus, they allow pets and even have AC which is rare for a hotel at this price point.

Review 9:Bed was very hard/very firm. Also, the Queen bed was actually two twin beds pushed together. It worked out. Parking is very limited behind hotel. If full, park across the street near the train station. It is free from 19:00-08:00 hrs.

Review 10:Very clean and efficient hotel. Was very pleased with the room, it's small layout, and the amenities offered. It worked great for a simple overnight before traveling. Staff was extremely helpful as well and speak English.

Review 11:Perfect if you need a quick place to stay at a really nice price. I just needed a cheap, clean and easy place to stay for one night. It was still close to town and there is free parking.

Review 12:My room smelled of cigarettes and I asked for a non- smoking room. It also seemed that the curtains in the room are not cleaned regularly.

Review 13:I liked that the door to my room had a keypad and all I had to do was memorize a code.

Review 14:The pillow was to soft (almost inexistent), and the breakfast could be better compared to the price they ask.

Review 15:Hotel is clean, I slept quite well because of the bed (quite hard) and windows isolation (no sounds from outside). Friendly staff.

Review 16:The emphasis placed on automation, thereby reducing the need for face-to-face interaction with staff, can conjure up memories of Orwell's "1984". And oh!....Those tiny rooms!

Review 17:Clean, efficient and ultra-modern. The staff, when you do come across them, are generally courteous and helpful.

Review 18:Nothing.

Review 19:Nothing fancy, but it had everything you need and was a highly automated check out. Wi-Fi was good, parking was free and they didn't charge for pets. Also, a short walk to restaurants and shopping.

Review 20:I have no complaints

Review 21:Everything was very accomodating, comfy and very affordable! Staff at the front desk, namely Kali was a sweetheart and made sure we had everything we needed. will definitely be booking with you again! Thank You!

Review 22:The Lady at the Reception was not helpful. She was not very friendly.

Review 23:The African Man that cleans the rooms took time to do it. He was not in a hurry to do it. I commend him for the job and wish that he continues like that.

Review 24:Air-condition was smelling cigarettes. I couldn't leave it on even for five minutes although it was a non smoking room.

Review 25:Big room for a single room and with double bed. Next to the station and the city. Relatively clean and modern.

Review 26:most notably we were given two single beds when we had requested a double and there was very noticeable mould on the ceiling in the shower - weird because the rest of the room was quite clean

Review 27:Excellent location and friendly staff were unfortunately let down by a couple of things

Review 28:There was no parking on the premises, like was mentioned when booking the hotel. There was no iron and ironing board in the room. The heater did not seem to work.

Review 29:It was centrally located.

Review 30:Slow wi-fi. Very uncomfortable "chair" in the rooms (without back). Reception is closed after 10pm.

Review 31:It's overall a nice hotel, arguably the best value-for-money one in Kaiserslautern. Good location: less than 5 min to the train station and less than 10 min to the city centre.

Review 32:I like the strategic and good location because is very close to the main train station in Kaiserslautern, clean room,24/7 internet service for free, good value for money room space, good t.v. Programmes, good breakfast, very clean environment and final good security 24/7 hotel entrance with very good secured security code.Awesome!

Review 33:Small rooms (not so bad for solo travel but not so great if you have additional persons), Plumbing traps were smelly probably due to lack of use of plumbing features.

Review 34:Clean, comfy, accommodating staff

Review 35:no hair dryer and no toiletry

Review 36:Clean room, near to Station

Review 37:Efficient set-up. First time I've stayed in this chain. I doubt will be the last. Very convenient for station.

Review 38:Need directions from train station on app.

Review 39:Convenient from train station.

Review 40:Nothing, loved every minute there.

Review 52:The location is great. Lots of great shopping and eating within walking distance.

Review 53:cleanliness, location, friendly staff

Review 54:The staff's promptness to assist, especially the attendant Kelly.

Review 55:Pillows where bad. Bring your own

Review 56:Nice hotel, near train stations

Review 57:Couldn't connect to wifi, you need a European cell phone number to get the wifi password.

Review 88:Over priced 7€ for two cups of juice and some bread.

Review 89:hotel clerk was very helpful and spoke great english

Review 90:close to the city center and to train station, most value for money hotel in Kaiserslautern IMO.

Review 91:Noisy Hardly any breakfast due to poor planning Woke up with backache

Review 92:Close to train station

Review 93:The room was really really small

Review 94:The hotel was very clean, centrally located and the price was right

Review 95:Bed way to narrow even for an averaged sized woman drain in shower backed up

Review 96:Had to pay additional fees for breakfast

Review 97:Close to the train station and downtown

Review 98:breakfast wifi

Review 99:price

Review 100:Everything! I really liked the idea of a key pad for entry, instead of a room key. The staff was fantastic. I was a bit nervous about the outside noise after reading some of the reviews. But as soon as I shut my windows, I had no problems at all. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 101:Near a very busy and noisy intersection. Room service was marginal. Sometimes they would forget to replace the towels. I was there for an extended stay and they rarely changed sheets and never vacumned the floor.

Review 102:Good price. Location was convenient to downtown and the train station.

Review 103:there may be the odd room that at busy times could get affected by noise outside .. weekends etc but this was not our experience!

Review 104:The reception were really helpful . notably Sandra and her colleague ( sorry didn't get her name) .. superb location for the bahnhof .. perfect for our needs.. would definitely return here

Review 105:No issues

Review 106:Excellent hotel only 5 minutes walk from station, very clean and comfortable with good English speaking staff. I would definitely stay there again

Review 107:WiFi coverage varied, speed was slow, and operation experienced disconnects. Saturday/Sundat morning breakfast starts only from 7:30.

Review 108:WiFi was available (but only after registering and providing mobile phone number). Keycode access to room (and thus is is impossible to loose the physical key but possible to check-out without checking out at registration). Air-condition available.

Review 109:The room is very small, and has no amenities. I got an iron from the front desk, but there's no ironing board, and the bed is too soft for good ironing. I ended up putting a towel over one of the vinyl stools (no chairs in the room, by the way) and after much swearing and struggling ironed my shirts while on my knees in front of a stool. Not comfortable or fun. Then came the fun of hanging the shirts. There is a miniscule hanging rack with four hangers. I'm here for a week on business, and have five shirts to hang, plus my suits. Luckily I'm creative.Don't try doing any work while here that requires space; the "desk" is approx 70cm x 70cm ... big enough for a laptop, and that's it. The wifi works well, thankfully, but one electric socket and a miniscule desk aren't enough for me when I travel for business. There's plenty of room on the wall for a decent sized television; unfortunately, the one in the room is tiny, and the only place from which to watch it is lying on the (narrow, single-sized) bed. Don't expect to stay entertained in the room with that.Normally I'm not a big breakfasty kind of person, so when I travel I use a coffee pot or water kettle to make my own coffee in the mornings. Unfortunately, there's nothing with which to heat water in the room. Nor a fridge. So, no hot or cold drinks ... just tap water in a plastic cup. Also, as someone else mentioned, there's no safe. So, all my valuables came with me to the car this morning ... yippee.I just got back to the hotel after working all day, and discovered that while the hotel has ~84 rooms, the 20-ish parking spaces behind the hotel are it. No mas. The convenient, nearly empty multi-story parking garage next door is private property, and hung up on me when I asked if hotel guests could use it. Unless you want to park illegally, there is nothing conveniently close to the hotel when the spaces fill up.

Review 110:The staff were relatively friendly.

Review 111:Nothing for such a price. May be a bit noisy with open windows as very close to train rail station.

Review 112:Everything is new, renovated. Excellent for 2 stars hotel!!! Fast free wifi, great breakfast and cheap. Good location - just 10 mins from the center

Review 113:The street noise might be a problem in some rooms, and the rooms are quite small. Get there early if you need a parking spot.

Review 114:The room was clean, and the parking was free.

Review 115:Establishing internet connection using my kindle (android) proved impossible, however, I had my IPhone. I thought parking was a bit tight if you are a late arrival.

Review 116:The common area and my room were modern, new. and clean. Good value.

Review 117:At www.booking.com it wasn't mentioned that there are smoking and non-smoking rooms. We had a smoking room, although we don't smoke. What a smell! We couldn't change because the hotel was fully booked.

Review 118:The room was clean and had a good bed. We liked the location inbetween central station en downtown city. Good isolated, so you didn't hear the train or other guests.

Review 119:It was all good! If you wanted personal service though this wouldn't be the place for you. Having said this we didn't stay for breakfast so maybe this is why we can't comment on staff.

Review 120:Arrived late, 24 hour automated check in ideal if you're using the place as a quick stop over. Great location within easy walking distance of supermarket & town centre. Able to stock up for the rest of the journey!

Review 121:The hotel manager was very nice, welcoming and helpful despite of our very late arrival. The rooms were comfortable, cleaned and in excellent condition. The hotel is very conveniently located. We are glad we chose B&B hotel.

Review 122:I was on a business trip. The hotel was well located. The staff were extremely helpful and always pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and the cleanliness in every area of the hotel was excellent. When next in Kaiserslautern I will stay there again.
