Reviews for Hotel St. Petrus

Review 1:Parking offered but only available when manager on duty, so could not access after 10 pm. Access via kitchen area. Breakfast old fashioned continental - no choice and no juice available. Bar area but no seating .

Review 2:Staff were friendly but unfortunately spoke virtually no English

Review 3:Well, you should have a pretty good reason to travel to Gelsenkirchen! Football for instance! But if you do so and end up in this uncharming city Htl St Petrus is a good choice with good value for money!

Review 4:Very nice staff. Close to Stadtbahn. Quiet location.

Review 5:Breakfast could be more varied

Review 6:Good base for visiting Veltins arena

Review 7:Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Lage ist bequem

Review 8:Everything was fine.

Review 9:Kind stuff, pleasant stay made me very happy. I recommend this hotel with a great pleasure.

Review 10:The noise of the Bells at 7am....

Review 11:The very attentive staff

Review 12:Single room was tiny with no work-space and very depressing. For my second night I moved to a double room which was much better. Hotel feels very old fashioned. Breakfast is basic.

Review 13:Very central location.

Review 14:floor carpets should be renewed and for guests arriving late, to provide a food dispenser would be better. They only serve drinks at night and the tables are reserved for restaurant (although it is closed) consequently, there is no seating facilities.

Review 15:kind staff, excellent location for "alte stad", cosy rooms

Review 16:It was always a bit cold in the bathroom, but it's winter anyway, isn't it?

Review 17:The location is excellent. Our room was large and comfortable. As it was said here several times, stuff does not speak any English, but they are so nice and friendly that you find no problems to communicate in all other possible ways - smiles, hands etc.) We enjoyed staying there a lot.

Review 18:Didnt speak v good English (but we were in Germany after all), comfort of pillows weren't very good.

Review 19:Very close to city centre and tram links. Room was large.

Review 20:We arrived at the Hotel to be greated by a man who couldn't speak a wordof English and had booked us one room for one person when our bookingclearly stated one room three person. This took around an hour to solve. The room was €120 for one night and when you look at the room and theservice we recieved this is not value for money at all. Thankfully weonly needed a room and a shower, and thankfully none of us need/wanted ashower as it was not very nice at all.The room should've never been that expensive and they should have at least one person who can speak English. We even had someone in the group who could speak spanish and french but still this didn't help at all. We asked them to book a taxi for 4am for 5 people. in stead at 4am they turned up with 5 taxis and none of them could fit five people. There isn't much to do in Gelsenkirchen but we were there for the arsenal game so ended up going for a very nice lunch in Buer and some beers.

Review 21:Staff do not speak english. Very difficult to organize anything(taxi, internet ect.). Next to the building there is constructionsite of new building. You can not pay by American Express. Invoicesprepare by heand.

Review 22:No refrigerator

Review 23:Funny owner
