Reviews for Hotel Bremerhof

Review 1:The room could do with an update, stained carpets and cracks in the walls

Review 2:Great welcoming staff who made our stay. The location is lovely with great view

Review 3:Secluded and in beautiful setting of a forest just a couple of miles from Kaiserslautern town centre. Terrific place and very, very friendly staff. Meals are excellent.

Review 4:I felt the room was a tad small, I felt that it was a tad expensive for a simple room with breakfast.

Review 5:The breakfast was a wonderful European style breakfast, and tasted wonderful! The beds were really comfortable and the bedding was so cozy! The scenery is breathtaking.

Review 6:No AC on a hot summer day+night meant that the room was not comfortable to sleep in. One of us slept on the floor and we took several cold showers throughout the night.. Not all staff speak English and it's probably good to know at least some German of you want to stay here.

Review 7:The Biergarten just outside was great for hanging out in and the staff there were nice. Pretty surroundings, lots of parking spaces. Good breakfast.

Review 8:There was a smell that we couldn't put our hands on from the bathroom (it was clean just smells) and was extremely hot with no screens :(

Review 9:I love how it's located away from the city. It had a nice yard for kids to play, enjoy nature, and see animals. The set up was great where it accommodates both adults and children

Review 10:Internet could be better.

Review 11:Absolutely beautiful setting- in the country side but only minutes from town and the university, friendly staff and good German hearty food

Review 12:Everything. Beer garden right outside the hotel with an excellent restaurant. Spacious room for three. Out in the country with horses around. Staff really helped my wife with Celiac find food on their menu that she could eat.

Review 13:Perfect balance of country feel with the city so close at hand. The Beer Garden always seemed lively, but the noise never invaded our room. Room was clean and comfortable- nothing fancy, but the atmosphere, location, and price can't be beat by anything else in town and the Staff were wonderful.

Review 14:A little bit difficult to find as the hotel is about 1 km from the center and the road ends as total village. And of course, no connection to the town - only your car or taxi.

Review 15:Nice hotel in a countryside, a small farm outside, really good place! Biergarten is big with good beer and food. Breakfast is good with real coffee - staff makes espresso or cappuccino on your request.

Review 16:Be advised that there is no elevator. It is not really walkable to town, but a taxi took us there in about 10 minutes.

Review 17:We enjoyed our 3-day stay so much that we came back for one more night. The staff were super friendly. beautiful setting.. Good value for our junior suite.

Review 18:Not a downside, just a preference: If you want to be in "centrum" (center city pedestrian district), this is not the hotel for you. You can easily drive there in a couple of minutes, however. This hotel is for people who want to enjoy the German countryside and still be right next to the city.

Review 19:Absolutely beautiful peaceful location - in the Pfalzerwald, the largest forest in this region in Germany. Has a huge popular biergarten right in front of the hotel in the midst of all the greenery and flowers. Connected to a horse farm (you can ride ponies too) and goats also nearby. You can feed the birds as well - they will eat right out of your hand! Many hiking trails, dummy proof, so you won't get lost. Can hike up to an old stone tower and see a beautiful sky-view of Kaiserslautern. Breakfast is typical German/European breakfast, but quite good, and they'll cook farm fresh eggs for you and make you a cappuccino or latte (macchiato) if you ask. Staff super nice and helpful all around. On Thursdays in the summer they have music/ concerts in the biergarten (starting next week). It was a delightful stay.

Review 20:We spent two nights in this hotel and we loved the experience! It is great value for money --it's a three star hotel, we didn't expect much but were pleasantly surprised with the kindness of the staff and location-- the hotel is surrounded by farm land and forest, very quiet and peaceful. Yes, the hotel looks a bit shabby in some areas but this adds to its character. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, breakfast was good. Nice beer garden at the front with a playground right next to it. We plan to return to this hotel in the future!

Review 21:The hotel is a bit of a drive when visiting for the first time. One or two signs would have been helpful

Review 22:The hotel is hidden away in the woods. Food was really tasty and well priced.

Review 23:The stair carpet was the most disgusting I have ever seen - old and with a greasy look to it. The shower had an ineffective screen and my husband flooded the floor on the first day. We also had a lot of problems with linen - dirty not taken away, and if taken away not replaced. We had to ask several times for replacements.

Review 24:The location was brilliant, just on the edge of the forest. The food was also really good. The room itself was clean and the beds were just right with lovely duvets and plump soft pillows. It is unpretentious.

Review 25:the stairway and hall leading to the room was dirty. carpet was so worn that no amount of cleaning could get it clean... not that it looked like any amount of cleaning took place. 3rd bed was actually a futon of dubious cleanliness under the sheets. Breakfast : typical German but the cheese tray had a bug stuck to it and the soft boiled eggs were inedible. Bread and meat were fresh. coffee was excellent.

Review 26:biergarten and dinner were lovely. room was clean although there were some webs in the corners of the room. the location was lovely. out on a farm bed linens were very clean and fresh. towels were fresh and bathroom was spotless.

Review 27:Not a right place to stay more than 2 nights. Poor wifi connection. Poor 3G coverage. No left, had to carry my kids and languages to the third floor. No fridge in room.

Review 28:Countryside location away from city noise for relaxing time.

Review 29:Lovely restaurant with tasty food and a very good beer. Large kids playground and lots of farm animals to watch around the hotel. Confortable room, with a very large bed. Spacious clean bathroom. Excelent breakfast.

Review 30:Breakfast offer was enough but could have been more diversified.

Review 31:hotel in the middle of nature, very nice "Biergarten", quite area and nice starting point for walking tours. The perfect place to shut your mobile off and enjoy the "Pfälzer Wald". Nice staff!

Review 32:The room was not ready when we arrived. The staff could not find our reservation. The hotel seemed a little dirty everywhere. The breakfast was promoting uncovered and did not fresh. Coffee was put on the table half full. The staff did not personally committed to the guests.

Review 33:Generally, it was ok. But it's all the little things that make the difference in whether you feel that there is value for money. And here I thought the hotel did not live up to what many other hotels in the same price range can offer.

Review 34:Nice rural location but a bit far off the road traveled

Review 35:Great Staff, Very Clean, Nice location in the woods

Review 36:Picturesque environment, excellent service, excellent meals, very clean

Review 37:Nothing!

Review 38:Staff were extremely pleasant. Quiet location but busy in evenings.

Review 39:Flies as in countryside

Review 40:Liked the peace

Review 41:Great out of town location and good food and atmosphere

Review 42:we liked everything

Review 43:Clean, polite staff, nice environment. Higly recommended

Review 44:very good breakfast, surrounding - just few kilometers from city center and you are surrounded by forest

Review 45:Could use some new carpet.

Review 46:Great place for a family: surrounded by fields, nice restaurant, and playground.

Review 47:The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful forest. Very good food and an excellent staff.

Review 48:not so clean

Review 49:Locatin is good

Review 50:Bar closed @ 22:30

Review 51:Location Atmosphere Food Beer

Review 52:Breakfast was terrible

Review 53:Close to the forest Food from restaurant

Review 54:The price charged was slightly higher than indicated on the booking.

Review 55:Lovely setting with character. Good food and comfortable.

Review 56:It was a little tucked away, but we liked that! Still close to the center.

Review 57:Beer garden, food, trails, farmland, peaceful, quiet, clean

Review 58:Wi-Fi wouldn't work in our hotel room

Review 59:Hotel Bremerhof is located in a nice quiet setting with hiking trails nearby, a playground for the kids, and even a nice restaurant/beer garden. The rooms were spacious for a 4 person family and the bathroom was modern and clean.

Review 60:the internal stairs are quite old but in line with the country side stile.

Review 61:the hotel is well in the forest is quite and relaxing and if you have time the walk around is very nice

Review 62:too basic to be 3 stars. hotel carpet is very old and strong smell inside room, it can be better. big noise in the bathroom when I turn on the vantilation.

Review 63:friendly service

Review 64:Family friendly environment and very helpful staff. Our children loved the nearby animals and the walking trails through the woods. The beer garden was also excellent.

Review 65:We booked a quadruple room and it was cramped. The down pillows had feathers poking out of them to such a degree that we ended up covering them with towels to use them. Our room was directly over the biergarten, and at night the noise coming in the room was too much to leave the windows open and be able to sleep. The weather was hot when we stayed there so having the windows open was a must.

Review 66:The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Everyone was so kind to us. We do not speak any German and everyone we spoke with was happy to speak English. The location is absolutely gorgeous.

Review 67:It's not so easy to find and if you want to go by foot. Be prepared! The place is a bit far from the main station and surrounded by woods

Review 68:The rooms are awesome (big, clean and comfortable), the service was perfect, i had everything i needed.

Review 69:We liked everything about the hotel.

Review 70:The staff at Hotel Bremerhof were very accommodating and the atmospherewas superb. Breakfast is not offered until 8:00 am; however, when weexplained we needed to be on the road no later than 7:30, withouthesitation, they offered to open their kitchen at 7:00!! We will re-visit during the summer in hopes of enjoying the fabulous Biergarten.

Review 71:They were very friendly and provided a nice breakfast for my family. Theroom was smaller than I expected with lots of stairs to climb to get tothe room. Clean. Comfortable beds. Shower with no bath tub. The room wasabove a restaurant in a beautiful country location.

Review 72:Time for them to replace the carpets.

Review 73:Location, food, playgound, and trails were wonderful. Would definitely go there again.

Review 74:Nothing really...all OK.

Review 75:Quiet, relaxing location.

Review 76:Staircase difficult to manage with big suitcase.

Review 77:SUPER LOCATION in forest just outside Kaiserslautern. Good for walks after hard day at work.

Review 78:Great food, nice beer garden. Away from the city, but not too far. Spacious room.

Review 79:Location in the forest...

Review 80:Had to climb three flights of stairs.

Review 81:The room was large and friendly. The service was good but not great. Breakfast was outstanding

Review 82:It is far away from traffic noise.

Review 83:Quiet location

Review 84:too expensive for the comfort and services it offers

Review 85:Beer garden in a quiet valley, some horses and goats nearby.

Review 86:Actually that's a wonderful beer garden, foods are perfect.

Review 87:Very small TV-set. The entree and stairway, need urgent cleaning.

Review 88:Nice room

Review 89:Great value in an traditional German hotel. The Biergarten outside iswonderful on a Spring evening.

Review 90:it was perfect only they need to strength the wi fi signal
