Reviews for Landhotel Sonneck

Review 1:We have stayed w the Sonnec hotel for a week taking a family room which was very comparable and roomi. Service by Niko, Stefany and the wide family was great. Food was splendid w a touch of local taste... Location and receiving the red card was very worth while. Bottom-line, we had a fantastic stay. The Ilany family.

Review 2:We loved our stay here! The room was beautiful, and the village lovely. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and it was delicious, the breakfast is also fantastic.

Review 3:very nice family run hotel. The village itself has a lovely ski slope without the queues and crowds of Feldberg. the family were so nice and friendly!

Review 4:We were staying at the hotel for six days. The hotel owners and stuff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are great for family and children and has separate rooms with nice balcony. Breakfasts are very good and the location was very close ro everything you need.

Review 5:No elevator. So if you have bags and/or stroller, you need to carry it 1-2 floors up

Review 6:The stuff went out of his way to assist with every possible request. A very warm and cozy place. Located in an excellent location in the black forest The food is also very good. Our kid was sick one day, and the landlord was very kind to find us immediately a local doctor. We would go back there anytime.

Review 7:50 euro surcharge per night for two extra children not made clear onBooking.com Activity cards had to be returned at check out whichsignificantly impacted final days planned activities No coffee or teamaking facilities in room

Review 8:Good location for activities Good food Small play area for younger kidsSpacious Studio rooms Free wifi Black Forest Activity cards included

Review 9:This was a nice quiet little place that was right in the middle of town. The room was very comfortable & most importantly, clean. Breakfast was also very good.

Review 10:We arrived at 6.40pm to be told by the owner that the kitchen closed at 8pm, so we would need to hurry if we wanted to eat there, this we did ordering all courses in one go, it was very annoying to see people coming in to the restaurant and dining long after it was supposed to be closed. We had a top floor room, with a rather awkward low beam running through the middle of it, quite dangerous if you need to get up in the middle of the night. Non of the usual toiletries. Breakfast was not available until 8am, which is a bit late when you are touring. Didn't feel very welcome, which was a shame.

Review 11:Stayed for one night whilst touring on our motor bike. Nice hotel in pleasant surroundings

Review 12:None

Review 15:A separate room for our daughter was great! Many walks from hotel, train station 10 minutes walk.

Review 17:Could not fault this lovely hotel and friendly helpful staff

Review 18:Poor wi-fi

Review 19:Beautiful village

Review 20:Really friendly, family run bnb. We were very happy there. The countryside is very beautiful. Wonderful walks and views everywhere.

Review 21:We stayed here for three nights with a group of friends. The hotel is situated in a great location for skiing and hiking. The ski bus departs from across the street and takes you directly to the slopes (but note that it only departs every hour or so). From the hotel you can hike or bike on many trails, including all the way to the Schluchsee. The breakfast was excellent, wi-fi worked well, and parking free. We dined in the hotel restaurant one night - food was very good and affordable. There are a few other restaurants within walking distance as well. The only thing negative about the room were the pillows! Bring your own, or ask for more. I would stay here again and would recommend to others. The Hochschwarzcard is also a huge bonus - free ski lift pass and public transport!

Review 22:Wi Fi is slow in 2nd floor, but it is ok, we don't use it offen.

Review 23:We stayed in the family room, it is super clean and very comfortable, staffs are very nice, the restaurant is supper good. We strongly recommand.

Review 24:Hotel hallways and stairs smell of fried food day and night. Situated in a tiny village that was deserted most of the time we were there.

Review 25:Spacious, spotless rooms. Close to skibusstop. Great breakfast buffet.

Review 26:We would suggest bringing your own pillows if you can. The pillows were flat and we had to keep fluffing them up or folding them in half to try and get a good nights rest.

Review 27:We enjoyed the breakfast and the location of the hotel to where we could grab the bus to take to the ski slopes. The location was also great for hikers and runners who want to explore the area and surrounding lakes.

Review 28:We stayed 4 nights in the family suite found it very clean andcomfortable. Beautiful surroundings, sat on the balcony and enjoyed theview (and the bells ringing in the distance). Very generous breakfast, and lovely staff, ready to help and provide information. The restaurantoffers high quality food. We enjoyed our stay very much and highlyrecommend! Also -The hotel provides the Red Forest Card which saved usquite a few Euros...

Review 29:Absolutely recommended if you're visiting Titisee, it's 2stations from Titisee, away from the crowd, around 1km walk from Altglashutten-Falkau railway station, cheaper than other hotels, staff was excellent, lovely bar inside, we had dinner both days and it was delicious andreasonable, room size was decent, bathroom size not bad, street outsideis beautiful, tourist info office bang opposite to the hotel, spik andclean nice little property for those who want to save some money onaccommodation, beautiful views outside, and they provide u a card so urbus and train travel in the Blackforest is free, so even when your notstayin in Titisee, it's just 2 stations and 10 mins away by train. If you visit Titisee, I have a suggestion, take the train to nextstation Hinterzarten, from there bus 7216 to Kirchzarten, sit on lefthand side, 1 hr absolutely gorgeous scenic drive, and get down atKirchzarten Bahnhof and take train back to Hinterzarten, from therevisit Hofgut Sternen to eat the original Blackforest Cake at the selfservice restaurant. I would definitely recommend Landhotel Sonneck, great value for money

Review 30:Bathroom does not have shampoo or soap for showering, take them with you! Room was a bit small but not so bad. The closest supermarket (Lidle) is a bit far and you need to have a car to reach to that.

Review 31:The are nice people, room is clean. Hotel is near to the train station. Nice area around for having a walk. Food is also good. Breakfast is not big but the quality is good.

Review 32:Really cannot find anything to complain about.

Review 33:Excellent hotel in every respect. All of the staff were very friendly. The bedroom was very comfortable with a sofa and comfortable chair as well as the beds and a large TV. Food was excellent both for breakfast and the evening meal. Guest card was very useful.

Review 34:The family that owns this hotel could not be nicer! The rooms are very clean and we can't wait to return with our two children. We have a 4 and 6 year old and felt very comfortable with our choice in hotel.

Review 35:One of the best places I have ever stayed in the world. The setting is sensational to begin with and the hotel is very comfortable and cosy yet homely, accomodating and welcoming also due to the well decorated rooms, excellent facilities and friendly informative staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I would happily return at the earliest possibility. The breakfast was immense-extremely fresh produce in plentiful quantities. One of best I have enjoyed in Germany!

Review 36:Landhotel Sonneck is an excellent hotel, owned and managed by a lovely young couple; always ready to help you, kindly and patiently, especially as far as locating attractions in the area. The hotel is a boutique one (every thigh is artistically designed with good taste) offers a very pleasant hospitality. You feel as you are hosted in a lovely villa. The rooms are fairly spacey, with nice porches, clean and pleasantly furnished. The breakfast is very satisfactory. The hotel has also a restaurant in which you can have gourmet dinners (with additional charge). The hotel is located in a small picturesque town in the district of Feldberg, and it is easy to get from there to all the directions of the black forest and other neighboring countries. A gas station is located at the entrance of the town.

Review 37:The male owner of the hotel is arrogant unfriendly and we didn't feelwelcome at all. We were not allowed to eat in the room(although therewas no pre condition of no eating in the room). Staying at the hotelmake you feel like a stranger and unwelcome to the place. We were notgiven freedom too choose seat for our breakfast.

Review 38:The surrounding view and the set up of the hotel.

Review 39:I really enjoyed my brief stay at Sonneck. The location was beautiful, the service was great, the food was excellent, the price couldn't bebeat. All I needed was a place to stay near Zurich to catch an earlyflight in the morning, but I received so much more. The room wascomfortable and spotless and spacious. I ate well, slept well, and wasat the airport in 75 minutes.

Review 40:Room was very clean and staffs were very friendly and helping. Lookedlike very well managed family run hotel.

Review 41:clean
