Reviews for Hotel Piren
Review 1:BAD: It was a steamy 80+ degrees in our room in early November. You refused to turn the AC on and we were told, "you can't turn it on because it gets cold at night." Meanwhile you have the AC cranking in the lobby. It never got "cold" at night and we sweat profusely the entire evening. You did provide us with a fan. It did not fix the situation at all. We were very uncomfortable. You also told us that my booked parking spot was "not needed." This very same spot that I had booked because I read it's hard to find a parking spot on this street. We drove up and down the street 3x and found a spot waaaaay down. We parked and dragged our heavy suitcases to the Hotel while we were eyed up by many and wondering if we'll be robbed. Once we entered the Hotel for the second time [first one was purely to get our parking spot], we were told we do have a parking spot on the premise. She said she misunderstood. Not cool at all.
Review 2:GOOD: You could see whales from our room, which was awesome! The breakfast is huge and could fill anyone's appetite no matter where in the world you're from. The breakfast area is also cooled with AC. Funny how you can't put it on in the place you actually paid money for.
Review 3:No bad experience, but for the first time ever with Booking.com I got an email from the hotel forwarded to me by Booking.com. (and I thought the email may have been fake). Something about my reservation and then when I e-responded, there was no e-answer from the hotel. When we arrived at Piren, I was worried there would be no reservation and Madryn was full. Turned out hotel was only concerned because bed was a matrimonial bed and could not be split into two separate beds until the next day. No problem at all because the matrimonial bed was so large and wide that it didn't matter.
Review 4:Book a more expensive ocean-front room with balcony, at least during whale season. Spectacular to watch whales just "blowing steam" in Madryn Bay from the elegant convenience of your Piren room. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Although Piren doesn't look particularly interesting from the outside, the inside courtyard area was stunning as was various artwork in the hotel. Tasty and very extensive breakfast served.
Review 5:slow elevator
Review 6:Nice hotel at the boulevard, so close to the beaches. Splendid view from the balcony. Very helpful staff, especially David, who had a lot of useful information.
Review 7:Two buildings connected, One with old rooms and old fashioned interior which looks dirty. Other building modern and clean but still old fashioned beds. They sleep well, but don't look good
Review 8:Great location, right at the beach. Rooms with seaview give you opportunity to sea whales! Central located towards shops and restaurants
Review 9:The wifi network was updated for two days so we didn't have good internet connection. I thonk it was one-time thing.
Review 10:Very fruendly and polite stuff, tasty breakfast with very good selection. We could see the whales right from the window of our room!!
Review 11:The view.

Review 17:We had a senior suite with a great view. Perfect. Good breakfast Helpfull staff Many restaurants in the area'
Review 18:Have a room with ocean view...superb!
Review 19:The ARS/USD rate at which they accepted payment in USD was very bad
Review 20:Room was spacious and clean, small attention for our honeymoon was nice, English of the person at the reception on our day of arrival was very good
Review 21:Hotel is right across the road from the beach. It has secure parking - you need to reserve as it is quite limited - reasonable fee was 50 pesos as of jan/14. Breakfast was outstanding and front desk people were personable. The room with the beach view was clean and a good size. All told, a good place to stay.
Review 22:The hotel does not have an outlet that converts to USA plugs so you will have to buy one. The hotel staff has limited English, it helped that one person in our party was fluent in Spanish.
Review 23:The view from the room was incredible. I requested an ocean view room and got it. The hotel is in a great location, plenty of shopping, restaurants, and touring companies within walking distance. The staff looked up the low tide time so that we could go to Punto Lombo to see the sealions. They even called a taxi for us. By the way it is a must see.
Review 24:The hotel is right on the sea front close to shops and restaurants. We had a large room at the front overlooking the beach, with a very comfortable bed and large clean bathroom. The breakfast was excellent.
Review 25:There's no spa or any other services than the basic ones of the room. The mini bar was full but the fridge was not working so no cold beverages were available.
Review 26:View and location was excellent. Rooms were very nice too. The hotel has a very complete range of pastries for breakfast. Unfortunately if you rather have something more nutritious you may find a narrower set of options :)
Review 27:Room are older then the rest of the Hotel, but clean and big. Bathroom needs maintenance. Ask for a room in front of the sea with the big terrace
Review 28:Lounge is new and some artists expone their painting during our visit. Breakfast good from 6.30am. Good assistance to organize the visit of valdes and tombo if you are in a hurry. Good position closed to the down town in front of the sea.
Review 29:If you like to sleep late don't take a room on the first floor which is on the dining room level (we asked to be switched to a higher floor)
Review 30:Staff was helpful and friendly. Hotel is modern and very nicely designed. Great location. Ask for a see side view
Review 31:Slightly old fashioned, no pool or sauna. Quite expensive for what you get.
Review 32:Nice large bathroom, great views of the ocean. Good location, safe car park.
Review 33:the inside of the hotel is open plan and the rooms face the restaurant/bar which in the night can get very busy and loud and the noise is clearly audible in the rooms even at the top floors.
Review 34:helpful staff, clean and modern rooms very good breakfast buffet.
Review 35:Nothing
Review 36:The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. In the first room the balcony door did not close and it was very noisy (as the room was facing the sea and therefore the main road). After we complained they tried to fix it and then got immediately a new room of the same standard. The breakfast buffet was one of the nicest we had in Argentinean Patagonia. We booked a junior suite and got a free upgrade to a bigger suite. We even extended our stay for another night in the same room for the original price.
Review 37:Very noisy Poor wifi Room a bit small Had to ask twice at the receptionto get toilet paper, they had forgotten to bring some
Review 38:Very central Good breakfast Nice design (exhibition in the hall and inthe breakfast room) Sea view from the room
Review 39:Eggs ran out at breakfast before 8:00 and they did not replace. The carpet in the room was worn with stains, but room still nice enoigh
Review 40:Small, friendly hotel with great location. And they recommended Fugu tours who were great for excursion to Punta Tombo and Peninsula Valdes
Review 41:Wi-Fi not too good.
Review 42:Location. Could walk to everywhere I needed to go.
Review 43:Excellent position, large bedroom with balcony overlooking the sea. Good breakfast, couldn't fault it.
Review 44:Nice beach front location at the heart of Puerto Madryn. The room was nice and modern, whilst the staff was always helpful.
Review 45:breakfasts good, beds comfortable, location ideal.
Review 46:Lovely rooms, great sea view, friendly, efficient staff.
Review 47:Not a lot.
Review 48:Great location on seafront and close to centre of town.

Review 50:Friendliest staff we've met during our stay in Argentina. Good breakfast selection.
Review 51:Top much continuous noise of the refrogorator
Review 52:Fantastic view on the ocean (we had a senior suite) for a reasonable price (USD 100), one of the best breakfast we had in Argentina.
