Reviews for Hotel Sonnenhügel

Review 1:Breakfast didn't have big variety; advertisements showed fountain; outside pool was very small; need air conditioning; more information about scheduling spa appointments, didn't know where to go

Review 2:Great size rooms, kitchenette was nice accommodation but cabinets were locked. Balcony was a wonderful size with chairs and table included

Review 3:the room was musty and unaired the beds were old and hard, the decor looked like it had come out of the seventies. Overall a very tired hotel not up to the standard i had come to expect in Germany.

Review 4:CLose to the event i was attending

Review 5:Walking distances

Review 6:Sauna and pool facilities

Review 7:This is definitely a family resort - a great place for that, but not really set up for the solo traveler, although the staff were very accommodating.

Review 8:The Pool area was very nice! The grounds were very relaxing, and the room was great with a large balcony! In addition, the cappucino is some of I've ever tasted!

Review 9:Everything else. The hotel does not look anything like the pictures they are showing. The front of the building is a sad story, looking like something the russians built after the world war 2. It's by far the ugliest hotel I have ever seen, inside out. Luckily we only booked for one night.

Review 10:Spacious rooms and nice breakfast. Thanks tot he young man in reception, who spoke English, who recommended the restaurant Rosengarten in the city.

Review 11:The reality versus the promise is so different that it is almost unbelievable. This hotel is nothing like what the pictures sell it as. It is dated and needs a lot of refurbishment. Staff need training and the facilities are in dreadful condition. It is the most uninspiring building I have ever stayed in. The main reason for choosing this hotel was the pool which is freezing and the children's amenities which open very late. In summary it is either a holiday home for old persons or a glorified hostel, nothing more.

Review 12:The adult beds were twin size & extremely hard, I couldnt roll over with out feeling like I was going to fall off the bed. The facilities were very out dated. It may have looked great in the 70's but now it just looks grungy.

Review 13:poor looking hotel.

Review 14:good breakfast

Review 15:Better direction from staff to room location.

Review 16:Nice area and good facilities
