Review 1：The breakfast buffet only had the bare requirements for a continental, albeit with 5 star ingredients. Although this is fully acceptable, it was a bit out of tune with the general feeling of this hotel going above and beyond.

Review 2：The staff was very accommodating, the room well furnished and comfortable, and we generally had a very delightful stay.

Review 3：rather poor, simple breakfast, menu for dinner at that time only possible in the brasserie which menu choice was limited of average quality. Some renovation works outside near to the room, not nice to see, however necessary and was not really disturbing.

Review 5：The corridor to our rooms was a mess, with towels and renovationmaterials on the floor. It was just not professional. Even worse is thatthe manager does not see that as a problem. I have never experiencedsuch a thing at any other five star hotel.

Review 6：The price versus value for money. I took an offer through booking.com. Ipaid extra for getting a suite. In total I paid 4.000 kr. For 2 nightsand all access to the spa. However, for that price I expect a propersuite with bath tub, nice view and real double bed. What we got was abig room, two single beds (hastens does not matter, if it is singlebeds). Put together, normal bathroom with shower and a very small tv(B&O does not matter if you cannot see it).

Review 7：The spa is amazing. It costs 350 kr. For a 1 day pass if are not aguest. And costs 250 kr. For your full stay as a hotel guest.Breakfast buffet is awesome - really high quality and offering.

Review 10：Brasserie staff were great though service was very slow. Our food was delivered from kitchen to the brasserie which had to travel some distance and was left sitting on a side for over five minutes which meant food was cold. We had to wait half an hour for dessert.

Review 17：Uneven bathroom floor.. Poor location...all by it's self with no other services... Buildings use to be a instituion for the mentally handicap...had a creepy haunted feeling...one building was still vacant and used as stoorage...had broken windows...think of the movie "The Shining"!!!

Review 18：Very uncomfortable beds- very soft matratzen, small and dusty pillows.So, sleeping is not comfortable. Also, there are no shelves or smallcapots to put travel bags and otehr things. Rooms are big enough but thefurnuture set is not practical. During the breakfast you have to serveyourself - looking for plates, forks, napkins- very unusual for such ahigh-star hotel.

Review 24：The cleaning is Always a trouble in this hotel. If You put your trolley on the top of the cupboard, loads of dust will Fall Down on your head! I have written it to the hotel Many times, but never had a reply. The bedlinen was broken and with holes last time. Five star hotel?

Review 25：I love this hotel. And come every year. Why? The spa area is beautiful. Worldclass! Only sad that children under 16 are no longer permitted. Not even during empty hours at 7-9 or 18-20

Review 26：Be aware that only a few rooms have balconies. A/C seemed a little weak and may not be adequate when the weather is really warm. Spa access to kids only allowed between 8 and 10AM and 5 to 7PM. A little more variety with the breakfast would be nice after a few days. The hotel is maybe 10 min drive from Vejle so a car is a must to get around. At 150€ a night maybe a little pricey but then again Denmark is!

Review 27：A beautiful location rebuilt as a hotel from an old asylum. Rooms are spacious and clean. Very nice atmosphere, good breakfast complete with Gammel Dansk! Fantastic spa with cold pools, two saunas, two jacuzzis ourdoors etc. Hästens beds and a make your own pillow program add to the nice touch!

Review 28：The service at the reseption was quite rude. We didn't really feel welcome. We knew that the spa (small swimming pool and some jacuzzis) was not included in the room price, but the additional cost for hotel guests was ridiculous (200 DKK/adult, 100 DKK/child). Especially when the children were allowed only a couple of hours per day. We got the message - this is not a family friendly hotel! The room was good, but the matresses had some visible stains on them. Made them feel dirty. Our bathroom window looked directly to next room balcony. Luckily it had a good roller blind, but still feeled a bit odd. :)

Review 29：The hotel building and the surrounding areas were spectacular. Very quiet. Loved the park. Short walk to the marina, lovely restaurant there. Great breakfast.

Review 61：This hotel does not deserve a 5* but a 3*. Some examples: when wearrived with three big bags. We asked for help (where in a a 5* thisservice is supposed to be given!) and ended up ourselves carrying threebig bags up the stairs!!! (No elevator!!) Later we found out that therewas a possibility to avoid these stairs... One day during our stay ourroom wasn't still not cleaned up at 6 pm! We had to call reception andthey said oh we will send somebody... Btw the room was never cleananyway. 5* = service quality, some people of the staff eg at thebreakfast (blond short hair lady) were unfriendly. Looking for aRomantic stay??? There are no double beds for couples!!! Only two singlebeds put together? Strange conception of romanticism. The bathroom doesnot have a bathtub and is small and very cold. Watch out! We booked aroom with view on the park (more expensive) and initially they gave us aroom with view of a small grass field. When we disagreed they told us"but you have a view on green"!!! After telling them we would not acceptthis they gave us a room with a view on the sea. This hotel is abusiness congres hotel (a lot of noise!!) and does not really care aboutprivate customers so watch out!

Review 63：1) Massage at 1500 on Saturday 30/7. My wife Vibeke was satisfied with her 30 minute massage (side by side). Personally I think the massage I received was not up to price/standards at all and I was happy we did not spend more money on this. It felt more like a gentle touch, and even though I asked for more energy to be put into the massage it was worth nothing for me. Dissapointing treatment.2) Wines in restaurant just too expensive for the non-business traveller.
