Reviews for Greenline Schlosshotel Blankenburg - Harz

Review 1:The hotel in our view was focussed on events (Weddings etc), with individual guests fitting in around the events - Breakfast was relocated to small unattractive room with food in corridor when wedding on, after the wedding evening we returned to the restaurant, but the wedding decorations and cake etc. were still in the restaurant / the car park was closed to all guests with no pre-warning to accommodate an event, and we were advised to park in the local Aldi car park some distance away. We asked to speak to the manager on these issues but we were fobbed off with the manager never available, and we never met.

Review 2:The room - spacious, clean, well furnished

Review 3:Restaurant was good, but we had to wait quite some time between the meals. We had to wait so long before a staffmember came to ask us what we wanted for desert that we decided to skip desert and leave. Blankenburg is a very small and rather dull village, hardly any restaurants and terraces.

Review 4:The room was really big, so was the double bed. Breakfast was very good: fish, meat, fruit.. A wide variety of food and drinks.

Review 5:- Form to fill out for wifi access - requiring personal data like address and e-mail address and having to log in everyday. . Only one pillow per guest?! - No receipt for "Kur tax" taken at checked and so could not prove we paid it, thereby causing confusion at check out - No tea or hot water making facility

Review 6:+ Setting - royal gardens, castle at the top of the hill, centrally located to exciting tourist attractions + Quiet and comfortable room + Courtesy staff + Breakfast buffet with local specialties

Review 7:Small oddly placed bar.

Review 8:Clean, modern hotel with good views in a restored historical building. Friendly staff and large rooms.

Review 9:lack of tea/cofee making facilities in room

Review 10:Friendly staff, good breakfast selection, comfortable room

Review 11:TV was too small for the room and Wifi was not connecting

Review 12:reception was great, food was perfect as well as the hotel's facility was nice

Review 13:Staff were incredibly accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful, and we had an excellent night's sleep on comfy beds and blackout curtains.

Review 14:The breakfast buffet was good, but for the price, we expected excellent. It was also quite strange that there weren't enough tables set. We had a small hiccup with our booking: we booked a double room, but our booking was registered as being for a single person only. So we had to pay more for two persons, even tough this room was listed in booking.com for two persons for the exact same price. This was resolved, but only after contact with booking.com, not at the hotel itself.

Review 15:Great rooms, comfortable beds, curtains that actually keep the sun out, nice bathroom

Review 16:Not much to complain about - the renovation of the beautiful building has been a bit brutal, there is not much castle feeling left except for the reception.

Review 17:Pleasant hotel, great brekfast. Nice surroundings and close to the highway.

Review 20:Clean

Review 21:Information about their free Wifi offer. I could find it and use it though.

Review 22:Everything. Fantastic hotel.

Review 23:we were n ot told to make a reservation for dinner and were asked to return at 8 PM which is to late for us to eat.
