Reviews for Hotel Villa Hentzel
Review 1:nothing
Review 2:period hotel in the culture capital, large comfortable room in a hotel a few minutes from Weimar centre. Excellent breakfast. Parking on site. ,Welcoming friendly staff
Review 3:Family room with big terrace on ground floor was great and comfortable. Free tea at any time of the day. Very central and yet quiet. Parking car was no problem. Very friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 4:Only a few private parking spaces available, but there was free parking in the street. WiFi connection was bad and slow in our room. It can be crowded in the (very stylish) breakfast room at peak time. There were some cobwebs on the (high) ceiling of our room, but apart from this, the spacious room and the smallish bathroom were very clean.
Review 5:We particularly liked the nice atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff, and also the nice private terrace. The breakfast buffet offered an attractive and wide choice of fresh bread and cold food. Warm food however was limited with no day-to-day variety. We received a lot of apologies and two small bottles of sparkling wine to compensate for a wardrobe that could not be used during our stay.
Review 6:No remarks
Review 7:Excellent value for money: large room with internal hall and large bathroom, very quiet and peaceful. Service very efficient, excellent breakfast with attentive service from the efficient breakfast lady. Private free parking for guests and wifi.
Review 8:Nothing.
Review 9:Getting a Parking place, Very difficult and almost nowhere else to park, the street is always full of parked cars. But thankfully a member of staff made a place for me.
Review 10:The very nice historic building (R. Steiner used to stay there) located in a quiet street close to the town center and Park on Ilm. Service is very good; breakfast is great. Large room with very high ceiling; Clean and well decorated.
Review 11:Bathroom/toilets are small, but still within bearable limits.
Review 12:Everything was spotless, staff very helpful and breakfast very nice. Free tea is available at reception.Extra water or wine is available from a fridge for reasonable price. Hotel is located within walking distance of city centre. Room was spacious.
Review 13:Management saves on small things. No complimentary water in room, no soap, no shampoo. Hey it's Germany and be lucky they dont charge extra for toilet paper !! Also if you book through bookings.com, they pass on the commission to the guest. We paid 7 Euros more than room price so the hotel saves the commission. Book directly!
Review 14:Clean, good breakfast, helpful staff and very quiet hotel within walking distance of town center.
Review 15:No shampoo, only shower gel in little pochettes. Some machine was humming next door every evening, it sounded like a washing machine or an airco. I am a good sleeper, so it did not bother me much, but I did notice.
Review 16:Very spacious room, big bed - for this the bathroom was a bit small, but ok in size. Breakfast selection very nice - but I have seen richer selection in smaller countryside hotels in Germany. Nevertheless, it was included in the price. Easy parking just outside in the street - hotel has only a few places. Good beer available in the fridge for a fair price :) Location great, park and city centre within walking distance.
Review 17:Although wifi is for free, I couldn't log in with the password provided by the hotel. I didn't raise the issue because I only stayed one night and the receiption is closed at 21.30.
Review 18:Location is good, not too far from the center.
Review 19:Noisy bathroom fan
Review 20:Room with balcony
Review 21:Nothing

Review 37:Delightful hotel in quiet street close to park and under 10 minutes walk from town centre - parking on site (a few places), otherwise in road outside for free. Very warm welcome from friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, including guidance as to where we might eat and visit (map provided). Good breakfast selection.
Review 38:Small hotel parking, but parking on the street is not a problem.
Review 39:Very friendly and helpfull staff. Good location, walking distance to city center. A tasteful interior decor. Hotel with all facilities I needed for a short stay.
Review 40:I was surprised that you had to pay for coffee and tea, which were provided in the reception area. It didn't seem very friendly or hospitable!
Review 41:This hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with spacious airy rooms. Easy walking distance from all the attractions and the delightful shopping precinct.
Review 42:Staff was excellent, we received lots of information about the town, restaurants, places for small children. All of them very accurate. Hotel room was very spacious and clean.
Review 43:No ceiling fan/poor ventilation - the room was very stuffy since the weather had been extremely hot that day. I didn't want to open the large windows as I was on the ground floor and would have felt too exposed. The weather can't be helped, but perhaps in summer provide a floor fan/fan on a stand?
Review 44:I like the size of the bedroom and there was just enough furniture. I was only there for one night. Breakfast was lovely. Nice variety of food and teas.
Review 45:This is not a complaint against the hotel but the present road works played havoc with my sat-nav. Not their fault.
Review 46:Accommodation was good, parking available for my on site, most tourist sites were in easy reach. The staff also spoke excellent English and were able to give good advice.
Review 47:Nothing to dislike.
Review 48:Clean room, very helpful staff gave us directions to walk to town(only a short walk) and where to eat and were spot on. Excellent valuefor money.
Review 49:Friendly and very helpful staff. Tasteful, not too much over-designedrooms. Interesting historical villa in beautiful urban area, walkingdistance to city centre.

Review 52:All four of us appreciated its elegance, cleanliness, spacious design, location, excellent breakfast, and helpful staff.
Review 53:Breakfast was set up in the morning and if you came late you had less choices since it wasn't actively refilled by the staff.
Review 54:A nicely decorated and clean room with a high ceiling. Perfect location just 5 minutes walk to the city centre and in a quiet neighbourhood close to the large city park. Quality food for breakfast.
Review 55:Its not the hotel that I have an issue with, its Booking.com! In your E-mail you ask for the respondent to answer 4 questions> This is obviously not true!!
Review 56:Good position in quiet street close to Ilm Park.Goethe's house about 10 mins walk away.Sunny room with balcony.Very helpful staff who could not have been kinder.Good breakfast.
Review 57:Could use more maintenance in room - two light bulbs burnt out, butdidn't realize it until hotel staff gone for the night. Hotel advertiseson site parking, but we were encouraged to park on the street. However, neighbourhood benign, lots of high end cars, so felt safe.
Review 58:Suburban location, close to frequent inter-urban rail. Quiet, goodvalue, excellent breakfast will keep you going all day. Bbc and cnn ongood quality flatscreen televisions. Very friendly and helpful staff.Fair sized room.
