Review 1：Well, I have seen bigger rooms, but the size of the rooms is acceptable.

Review 3：There was a smell from the kitchen in the corridor. The hotel is a combination of old and new. Some parts still need a bit of renovation.

Review 10：the heater in the room wasn't working and we infomed to reception, but it wasn't solved in the end. Also, Water wasn't hot enough for shower. I think hotel needs to be renovated more

Review 12：the room wasn't heated and outside we had already 6/8°C during the night so it was starting to be pretty cold. Bath with the shower tap partially broken, no hot water, just slightly warm... and this is the main reason of my low rate. No elevator, ask for a first floor if you have walking problems

Location good - Main Square a short walking distance north and Plzen Plaza Shopping Mall at your back. Very near too. Breakfast in Hotel Plzen is unbeatable. Review 18：It took over an hour and a half to check in, there was one very flustured trainee receptionist dealing with a whole que of unhappy guests, they could not find our reservation on the system and many of the rooms had still not been made up by 2pm leaving around 20 people sat in the lobby for hours. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, even though air conditioning is advertised there is none so it was too hot to sleep and our room was above the bar which played loud music until the early hours. We had very little sleep, worst hotel we have stayed in so far.

Review 19：Unfortunately there was nothing to like in the hotel. The only thing we enjoyed was leaving.

Review 20：The area around the hotel was very noisy, they have only 4-5 parking slots, "just park on the street". A lot of drunks around the corner which doing pee directly on the street.

Review 23：The beds were the space efficient ones, incorporated in different pieces of furniture, so one was a bit too high, other quite low, but the overall comfort was OK.

Review 26：The staff was nothing short of wonderful. I screwed up my reservations and they refunded me even though it was totally my fault. Pilzen was a great city, it's pretty slow paced but I needed a break from fast paced Prague. The staff was very helpful planning my sight seeing and tours and where to eat and drink. They have a wonderful bar and restaurant on premise.

Review 27：In my opinion breakfast has gone downhill since our last stay one year ago. Overall food didn't look fresh, especially fruit! Also noticed mouldy wall in the breakfast area! We had a good stay but because of breakfast we wont book again!

Review 34：I loved the design and the breakfast. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. I didn't spend much time in my room, but I thought it was just perfect for my needs

Review 35：Great location. A bit dated hotel but super friendly and helpful staff. Thought we were at the beer bath spa hotel but front desk arranged a reservation and taxi to go and enjoy! Parking secure and off street.

Review 36：An easy place to find with plenty of free on-site parking. Only a ten minute walk to the city centre and an easy walk to the Urquell brewery. The place is on the old side, but it is being modernised eg the new bar/restaurant. Our room was spacious and clean and in good condition. No problem with noise since we had an inner sliding door. Breakfast was very good. A large range of food including bacon and eggs. Staff were most helpful and pleasant. An ideal place for our overnight stay and good value for money.

Review 37：No lift for the guests is terrible. An access to 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor is very complicated.

Review 38：The rooms are equipped very well. The Breakfast is good. The cable internet as well as Internet corner are very helpful for every pleople who need to surf in internet. The Restaurant / Bar staff is helpful. Private parking may give your car safety.

Review 39：Entrance to hotel has shabby stairs, there is no lift, there are stains on the corridor carpet. My room was mixture of flat, hotel and student hall room. Barhroom was nice and bedding was clean , however there was a sofa bed next to my bad which was filthy and I don' t know who would sit on it. Also right in front of my mirror there was a massive industrial pipe wrapped in aluminium foil. This place has what they call " luxurious" rooms which they show on this website but be aware you may not get it and you may end up in what felt like somebody' s run down room. Staff was helpfull although they could improve they customer service and professionalism. Overall if you are passing by and don' t want to spend too much money it is ok.

Review 44：They have everything but something is not enough. For example, they have 'curtain' but it is not blocked window properly; or they have 'light' but the switch is in the entrance, which means you need to stand up for turning off light in order to sleep.

Review 46：The lack of an elevator didn't really bother us but mind that this hotel is absolutely not barrier-free. The bathroom could do with a shelf or sth. to put your stuff. Also, the water faucet in the bathroom sink looked nice but it was very easy to hit your head. Not vey practical.

Breakfast was very good with a good selection of bread, cereals, fresh fruit and sweet stuff. The pancakes were particularly tasty. The new reception, which had just opened on the day of our stay looks very nice and modern, including a fireplace - much better than the old one.

The 3rd room, it was an apartment with a small kitchen but there was a wardrobe in the corridor and I placed clothes into the wardrobe and when I took it out next morning, the clothes smelled of a hotel kitchen from downstairs. There was open ventilation from the kitchen into the wardrobe !!!

Review 59：Have stayed at Hotel Pilsen on many previous visits, and will continue to stay there as it represents an excellent value. It doesn't have the luxury of some other hotels, but its lower rates allow staying two nights for less than one night at the luxury hotels.

Review 60：There is a reason it was so cheap. It was In the attic fifth floor walk up and very small. You had to open the window(sky light) to allow ventilation. Because you have to have the window open it was quite noisy. They do provide earplugs. First hotel I have ever run into that does. Still good value.

Review 65：A bit far from train station and main city. Staffs don´t have knowledge on town and sightseeing. Also accommodation fee of booking.com is more expensive than the standard price.
