Reviews for Dorint Park Hotel Bremen

Review 1:They charge €9.50 to have a cup of coffee brought up to your room, with no alternative to make your own in the room. The reception staff aren't overly friendly and I had to request a copy of my final bill with some discrepancies on there.

Review 2:I love the location of Dorint park hotel. They set up the room so nicely for me and my dogs and they have lovely views over the park and the pond.

Review 3:the double bed was not a french bed and the gab between makes me angry. the shower got some fungus in between the glasses.

Review 4:the breakfast was great and the view is perfect. in the middle of the park and very close to the railway station

Review 5:The staff. Sending a birthdaypresent for my husband with dhl express.IPurposely announced the delivery at the reception prior to our arrivalto surprise him. Package was signed for in hotel, but dissapeared. Theyfound it after 6 hours and opened it while my name was on it. In themidst of it all I helped looking for it and my husband of course foundit all out before he actually got it... 24 hours roomservice??? Theyonly have soup and a microwave meatbal. After bringing this to our roommy husband had an unlighted sigaret in his hand because we only smokedat the balcony. The reception called us while we were eating, andaccused us there was smoke in the room and it was not allowed to smoke.I was furious and went down with my room key and asked the manager to goup and ask him if he smelled smoke. There was no manager at all. Webooked this hotel for 2 nights, but we left the first morning whitoutpaying anything. Never this hotel again. What a terrible staff. The girland boy who had nightshift at September 11th till 12th ? Fire them. Theydon't belong in a 5 star hotel. Especially their horrific tone ofvoice and disrespect we received. We stay in hotels quite a lot due towork but we have never experienced anything this horrible ever.

Review 6:The location and room

Review 7:No wifi connection in the rooms. I did not ask as well so was not sure how it worked.

Review 8:I liked the location and hotel facilities that was on offer. Also parking was a big plus for me!!

Review 9:A bit of a walk to the railway station, about 5-10 mins- this was fine for us but you do have to walk through the park the hotel is located in to get there. This was fine during the day but got very dark in the evening and there was not much lighting (not the hotels fault, but I was wary walking through nonetheless).

Review 10:The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly- everyone gave a greeting when they saw you. Rooms were lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrobe and slippers were also a nice touch. The free wifi was excellent.

Review 11:Corridor to the Resturant smelt of stale cigarette smoke and burnt cooking fat - this put us off having dinner at the hotel. Service on the terrace was poor with 2 staff on duty who just walked past us 3 times until I summoned one that I wanted service. Very wide choice of food at breakfast which was spoilt by the cooked items being cold and not covered. For a 5 star hotel it seems to have problems with its Food & Beverage department and there appears to be no one supervising or monitoring the staff.

Review 12:Very comfortable room with lovely view across the lake in an excellent location within the city.

Review 13:this hotel is officially a 3 start hotel no way could it be a 5 star hotel. Very old and in serious need of renovation. The rooms are very old and in a very bad state, the sofas are smelly, the bathroom was smelly. The lake is actually a public one no privilege nor privacy for hotel guests. There was a wedding at the hotel and the DJ was in the garden the songs noises reached the hotel rooms we couldn't sleep I can hear the beats shaking the room!! It was very disappointing I asked the reception at 10:30 pm when is it going to end and he said maybe at 1 am!!!. If a hotel is going to arrange such parties in the middle of the night where people are trying to sleep at least provide soundproof windows.

Review 14:Only that the bed was comfortable and room service food was delicious.

Review 15:Room and toilet Cleaning. Noise during the wedding party in the hotel corridors.

Review 16:Location ,the garden and the pool

Review 17:Leaving

Review 18:High ceilings, large rooms, balcony, great walk-in shower, fabulous breakfast, high level of staff response. The rooms have beautiful finishes, i.e., wallpapers, antiques. A large ballroom, glazed ceilings, pool and all in a beautiful park setting.

Review 19:There was a teenage prom party which carried on until 5 am the night we arrived. Not good when you've been travelling for 22 hours without sleep :-(

Review 20:Friendly staff, view, facilities and location.

Review 21:It is very run down and worn and it appears obvious that the current owner is not spending much on upkeep. We were told by a local resident that when the hotel changed owner from a local group of private individuals to the government (I don't know if this is true) things went rapidly downhill. Even though the hotel appeared empty we were told that we could not extend our stay because it was "full". My guess it was simply due to the skeleton staff working there was unable to cater to more than just a few guests. The same person tended the reception, the bar, and also delivered the room service food despite the fact it was a huge hotel.

Review 22:Lovely and grand hotel that must have been really nice and luxurious when it was at its best. It is a big hotel. It's location in a large park is really great, but it takes a while to walk downtown (45 min). The staff tries their best.

Review 23:Although the wifi was free and fast, the wifi network places ads in the pages you view and also forced my iphone onto game downloads in the app store, but not sure the hotel is even aware that its wifi ISP is doing this. The rooms did not have air conditioning and sometimes it got a little hot during the night.

Review 24:The common areas and location of the hotel are truly superb. Staff are very friendly and there is live music around dinner time and in the evening. The grounds are beautifully kept. We used the spa as well and really liked it. The sauna, steam rooms and ice grotto were fantastic, as well as the foot massage and pedicure that I enjoyed. Wifi is fast throughout the hotel. Breakfast is good but a bit pricey.

Review 25:Apparently most German hotels do not include complimentary tea or coffee making facilities as standard. This is disappointing for a 4-5 star hotel.

Review 26:Beautiful rooms with exceptionally comfortable beds.

Review 27:At 15:00 girl-receptionist, told that room isn't ready, after my words, "why?", called and told what ready, it's not professionally. Reception's staff didn't say "hello!", if you don't come to desk, just looking how you come to hotel and go out. On Saturday in restaurant was dinner with a life music, but nobody on reception told about it, didn't ask "on Saturday will be...., would you like reserve a table?" Or could write a letter about it. Wi-fi: too much questions for making connection.

Review 28:The porter was very frendly, he helped to resieve another room(1 floor higher), he was more proffecional, then a girl-receptionist. Staff of cleaning always said "hello". (Reception's staff said "hello" only if you come to desk, otherwise they didn't.) Comfortable shower. Quite room!, it's very well, nothing wake up you at the morning, just a sun!

Review 29:the external window blinds were stuck down and certain parts of the room had never been cleaned, a wall light was polished aluminium and was very dull, tarnished. the night stand was also very dusty. my room was a million miles from the reception and when I arrived the electronic door key did not work. This meant returning to the reception via 2 lifts for re-programming.....

Review 30:the location was v good

Review 31:We had some noisy New Year's revellers in the room above us partying. We had no noise on our second night so I am assuming it was just New Year's Eve.

Review 32:View from the room was lovely across the park. Beautiful location in the park - you are right in the city but away from it all. Lovely room. Great breakfast. Staff are amazing and so helpful.

Review 33:The hotel was a little bit of a walk to the old town but the location and the only hotels I saw closer to the old town were nowhere near as nice. The old town is very nice and worth the walk.

Review 34:This is a gorgeous hotel set in a beautiful park in the middle of the city. My room was a decent size and very well laid out. The hotel restaurant was excellent and the lobby was a very nice place to work if you have a little extra time. I really liked the wood burning fireplace.

Review 35:The room phone was not working from the time we checked in until checkout. We got varying excuses that it would be fixed. The front desk people were nice, but almost shoulder shrugging re the phone. There was no clock, but we were told to use the phone for display! We were finally brought a cheap battery clock. As for room safe, another shrug. There was no thermostat, and the drapes were floor to ceiling. The heat was effectively blocked by the drapes. You could have left drapes open, but we overlooked the park with dog walkers and joggers.

Review 36:Ththe breakfast buffet was decent, and the waitstaff very pleasant. There was free parking on the premises, and the room was large. There was only a wardrobe and awkward draw space.

Review 37:I phoned room service twice to ask for a band-aid and a sheet and a staff member came to the door I ask him and still I did not get what I had requested I was a little disappointed, also in our room there was no robe and slippers and we had to request them they did bring them ! The wi-fi was also hard to connect.

Review 38:Overall this hotel was very nice, the room was comfy, buffet breakfast was really nice, the pool, spa, sauna, steam rooms and the snow room were excellent.

Review 39:Walking to the old town would have taken a half hour or more and some of the roads didn't look pedestrian-friendly. To get to the old town we rented bikes for 10 euros. The bikes were a little clunky but fine and they also had e-bikes for 15 euros that looked a little more stylish and have their own power or at least power assist. They also made it easy to get to the Beck's brewery for a tour and to see the park surrounding the old town. But if you want to visit the old town and you don't want to ride bikes you might want to consider staying right in the old town.

Review 40:This is the place to stay in Bremen, especially if you have a car. Our room and the bathroom were all large and luxurious. The hotel is surrounded by a huge park and is therefore completely peaceful at night. The bed was huge and comfortable. The staff were all nice. There is a small hallway in the room with a door to the br to insulate it from noise from the outside hall and from the bathroom. The br has huge windows that look out across the park. Internet (included for us) worked fine. If this room were in Paris or Rome it would cost over 500 euros.

Review 41:The staff is not unpleasant, but they are not very helpful either.

Review 42:The hotel is very conveniently located next to a park, and it's very easy to get to the city centre by foot The hotel is beautiful, and it has great and comfortable facilities and a great view to the park

Review 43:There is no kittel in the rooms. You have to take 2 different elevators to reach your room. We have been adviced to not to open the room windows at night and enjoy the nice weather because of the insects.

Review 44:I booked 2 room and we are a family of 5 people. The friendly receptionist suggested to take a larger connected rooms. This was an excellent solution during peak summer time where the hotel is almost fully booked. The hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel is located in Burger garden .. don't miss it

Review 95:The Location

Review 96:breakfast price

Review 97:location in the park, staff, facilities

Review 98:2 coffees at 11.00 euro very expensive.

Review 99:Staff very helpful and friendly, location very good , no noise or traffic, beds so comfortable, liked almost everything

Review 100:Every thing this hotel was like acastel now small cell with poor wooden partion-litl servis

Review 101:I was shoch room too smal no loak or chain i felt un secuer but the brekfast ok i didnot like famiely picture in my bed room the stuff ghanged my room to beter one but i left

Review 102:The location is fantastic. Front lake and back forest. Near to the expeditions area and to the train station and the center. The staff are very friendly.

Review 103:Breakfast very expensive. No tea, coffee facilities in the bedrooms. Being served coffee in dirty cups. A lot of the furnishing had passed the sell by dates. Attention to detail is needed. This is not a 5* hotel

Review 104:Staff where friendly .

Review 105:The restaurant food and especially the service was very disappointing for a five star hotel. I would not recommend eating at the park hotel, although food is reasonably priced.

Review 106:Comfortable rooms, nice and quiet, good location.

Review 107:Reception staff was inexperienced which lead to occasional waiting time at front desk. Room service meals could have been better but breakfast was excellent

Review 108:The catering staff were all excellent; both room service and breakfast

Review 109:location not optimal: 25min walk to rathaus. price breakfast too high (25euro p.p.). noise from dinner parties in evening. noise from kids in spa during day.

Review 110:excellent hotel, with superior gym and spa/sauna. spacious clean rooms. high quality service.

Review 111:Beautiful scenic location. Hotel is lovely to be in with comfortable and luxurious atmosphere whilst not being overwhelming. Staff were professional and friendly and always efficient. Spoke perfect English and the food was amazing. Certainly one i will be visiting again

Review 112:Nothing wrong with this hotel

Review 113:Great value for the money - located in a beautiful park where one can go for long runs. Food is excellent and SPA offers all you need to relax including outside heated pool.

Review 114:Difficult to get a taxi from station as the drivers don't like taking short journeys; it's too far and dangerous for a lone female to walk through the park after dark. No coffee/tea making facilities in room. WiFi is only free for 24hrs, then you have to obtain another code and reregister. No availability to book spa treatment during my stay. Difficult to unlock rooms due to strange key system.

Review 115:Comfy bed Spa area Nice walks in the park during the day

Review 116:- Just too provincial pretentious... Nothing like a real 5-star - Poor cuisine (one of my worst risotto ever, soggy industrial bread,...) - Did not sleep for most of the night as a party was going on downstairs - music was so loud the building was shaking... and my room was at the 3rd floor... no respect towards the other guests enforced in anyway by the poor powerless staff: " yes, we know, it's loud indeed Sir"... - smelly bathroom - silly door locks - require an engineering degree to operate - no wonder the window blinds were up... the 3rd floor rooms like mine have a beautiful view on the concrete rooftop...

Review 117:Breakfast (even though the bread was more of the industrial sort - not great at that price...)

Review 118:Only one bottle of water for 2 days in the room . because he give onewater for all night . when I order water she charge me 10 euro for onewater only ?? why ??? and no coffe in the room how 5 star with out coffein the room ??

Review 119:I like this hotel

Review 120:I guess it is better to stay away in the weekends. During our stay there were two weddings with bands. We were able to 'enjoy' the loud music in our room until late in the night.

Review 121:Room was a bit old fashioned, like the whole building, which was charming perhaps. Good location, easy parking.

Review 122:The service of the restaurant is not as good as other services. Maybe it is the waitress I encountered. It is extremely slow and they seems not welcome you at all if you want have dinner around 9pm

Review 123:The spa facilities, breakfast, the park, of course

Review 124:The cost of three dogs not mentioned anywhere before check-out, howevera fair price.

Review 125:Good service in general, very helpful bellboy, nice stay withthree dogs.

Review 126:Amazing stay. Absolutely everything was perfect, the facilities are fantastic and the service incredible throughout the hotel.Put simply; you HAVE to stay here.
