Review 1：The very nice and warm Lehmann couple are holding a fine and generous hotel. The facilities are clean and welcoming, the rooms roomy and comfortable. A marvelous breakfast and proximity to all hiking trails make the experience whole and unique. Warmly recommended!!

Review 2：A couple of minor changes would be the availability of the Internet in the evening as this was switched off when we tried to use it at 10pm. The curtains were a little thin so it was hard to sleep once the sun had risen and the double bed, although a double frame was two separate matresses. All very minor things compared to what a great time we had and I would 100% recommend this hotel.

Review 3：The owners Klauspeter and Freia Lehmann were lovely, very welcoming, professional and provided personal service, they even presented me with a mini bottle of sparkling on my birthday. The hotel was immaculately clean and homely and in a peaceful and scenic location.

Review 4：There is not bar/restaurant even though it says in their description they do. Misrepresented and too expensive for what you get. Wifi is only in the lobby/breakfast area, which was inconvenient. At the end of town, up on a hill.

Review 5：The breakfast was the best part of our stay. It was also right on the Westweg with a nice view.

Review 6：The hotel room, the hotel itself and the water in the pool were too cold. We tried to turn the heating up, but the next day the cleaning lady turned it back out, so that it was quite cold as we returned in the room in the evening. As we tried to turn the heat back up, we found out that it did not work anymore, it was probably shut down in the entire hotel. The pool had also about 23-24 degrees, which is pretty chilly, but one might get used to it.

Review 7：Pool and sauna were all for ourselves at certain times of the day, it was very relaxing. At breakfast they played classic music at a low volume, which was extremely pleasant. The room was big and with a great view. The bathroom was spacious and the finishing was very well done.

Review 24：First of all, I agree with other reviews that this is not a 4 star hotel, but a 3 star hotel.We payed 300 euro per night for the suite, and still got charged 20 euro for a second baby crib. The reason was that I called only 24 hours in advance, otherwise the owner said I would have got it for free. For this reason he wanted to change me to a double room instead of the suite, paying same price. I just couldnt understand that. At the end after a 20 minute phone discussion, we got the 2 cribs accomodated in the suite living room with the 20 euro extra charge.Just to compare. In Gross Gerau at Adler hotel, we arrived at 9 pm, and said we needed two cribs, we got them free of charge, and was no headache for the person in charged. That only shows inflexibility and greed from the owner.The elevator was broken during 5 days of our stay. With toddlers and baby it is not fun at all. I understand it was during holidays, but this is the result of an elevator which production TAG is 1968., and probably poor maintenance.When leaving the hotel, I called several to reception for someone helping me with the luggage, specially because the elevator was broken, and nobody answered. I had to bring it myself, 3 floors down to the car.The owner came to our table during breakfast to keep us quiet, because our toddlers were making noise. We obviously to keep our table quiet, but they were tired because of the jetlag, we were not obviously playing with them.If breakfast served more hours, the children would have probably been in a better mood, and so do we.Breakfast only served from 8 to 10 am, pretty much like a Youthhostel. In four star hotels you have longer breakfast hours. The problem is that owners do everything, pretty much as in a youthhostel.The owner tried to charge for light spots in the carpet, that I could easily take away with a towel. I convinced them not charge for the cleaning service.The internet never worked.

Review 25：Breakfast is really good, better than expected. The pool is really clean and really nice view. The bathrooms are very new and good quality, water pressure is great. The hotel is very clean.

Review 28：Most importantly, hotel Sonnenberg did NOT have any information on the reservation even though we recieved a confirmation made with booking.com on July 5,2012. Also booking.com said the meal plan was to include breakfast in the room rate. At check out, we had to pay 10 euro a day for breakfast. On another subject, the wifi worked only in one specific spot in the breakfast room. Not in your room!

Review 43：They are switching off internet (router) at 11 pm due to the waves as Iwas told. So there is no 24 hours internet. The suite that we had was isfact two standard rooms with two terraces and WCs. It is not a bigproblem if told before but this small cheating tricks with internet andnot real suite do not add many <likes> to the hotel.the breakfast could be richer and is not oriented on sport people if you need something extra eg. one more egg you should ask for it. Nevertheless there is a place to eat nearby. No capuchino machine. Apple users should select WEP security to be connected.

Review 46：The hotel is really great place for the quiet vacation. The service, cleaning and food are great. There is a great view from all of the rooms so we enjoyed wonderful sunrise every day. The rooms are big and clean. The swimming area is also nice. The ski tracks and walking routes are near the hotel so it is situated very well for sports and walks. The breakfast is really good and tasty. Also the hotel is situated in Hinterzarten - on of the most wonderful villages in Black Forest.
