Reviews for Hotel Garni der Orthodoxen Akademie
Review 1:There is a railway outside wich is really loud. So if its summer and hot and you need to open the Windows you gonna get disrupted.
Review 2:We came late at night so the reception were closed. But the keybox worked perfect. Room were clean and big. You need your own linens but thats ok when the price is that Low.
Review 3:The Wi-Fi did not work at all, it was very cold, I even cought a cold. I am not much of a drinker but in this hotel you cannot even drink a bear when eating in the evening (because it is a monastery)
Review 4:Only the price and the fact that it eas clean and the stuff nice
Review 5:I checked Excellent on Free WiFi, above, although I never have my old, heavy, laptop computer with me.
Review 6:Eating a buffet breakfast, with hard-boiled eggs: perfectly done, and NOT hard as a rock. The very nice young man and I had an interesting conversation about his home country, Serbia, and he gave me a good deal of history from Serbia. Even his English is much better than my German = I have been living in Berlin for nearly 9 years, plus I took German in an Oregon high school for 2½ years.
Review 7:The beds were creaking a lot - slept bad. Wi-Fi was not working. Fine but scanty breakfast.
Review 8:Staff was very helpful. Big and clean rooms. Nice breakfast restaurant.
Review 9:Good for a 1 night stay. Nice price. Good breakfast.Parking for free.Calm

Review 23:The train rail not so far but that's not very big problem when you're tired you can sleep like baby
Review 24:The receptionist is a great person, thank you very much for chicken ;) so helpfull
Review 25:I like the hotel at all. Nice staff, great breakfast, clean and comfortable. The wi- fi connection was very strong, so we could use it without any problems.
Review 26:Bathtub with no shower curtain - showering only in sitting position possible, otherwise flooding the entire bathroom.
Review 27:Quiet surroundings, very friendly staff.
Review 28:Lamps and chairs in the room were dusty, but apart from that neat room. No clear sign to reception upon arrival, doors locked, so in the dark evening, far downtown, after driving 6-7 hours, not the time for wasting time. Very remote from downtown, a shame, because it is somehow very romantic and beautiful buildings.
Review 29:Friendly service and very helpful. Big room, nice toilet - cold though, but after turning the heat on for some hours the temperature became pleasant.
Review 30:The rooms heating was turned down and therefore cold to start with. Quite noisy due to railway line nearby.
Review 31:Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Large and secure parking facilities.
Review 32:for the price I would expect better beds and less noise from the hallway. One bed had a rather outworn matress.
Review 33:it was a rather spacious room with very friendly staff
Review 34:WARNING!! THE RESTAURANT IS CLOSED!! YOU CANNOT EAT THERE!! THE SHOULD CHANGE THIS IN THEIR HOMEPAGE!! You are directed to a restaurant 2 km away. The place is of hostel standards. Very simple, like in a convent :-). The walls are very thin, we heard the neighbours turn in their beds and making telephone calls and so on. Breakfast was like dining at Draculas castle. Gostly, in a closed down restaurant. You get the feeling that the place is on it´s way down.
Review 35:The breakfast was ok although simple.
Review 36:The owners were away so the restaurant was closed in the evening though we were directed to a nice Italian place 10 minutes walk away. There didn't seem to be a proper reception. The room furnishings were a bit basic. This is not a luxury hotel.
Review 37:The hotel is in a very interesting building and is in a handy position off Route 1 on the edge of Hildesheim. The staff were very pleasant and the beds extremely comfy. The hotel is quiet even thought it's close to a railway. We had the best night's sleep on the trip. Plenty of parking and a nice modest breakfast. Good value.
Review 38:The WIFI did not work neither did the TV.
Review 39:The staff were very friendly and helpful, they did try hard to fix anything that wasn't right. I think, eventually, (they only own the business one year) it will be a good hotel. They just need time and money
