Review 1：We liked everything, but just a note of caution that this is a guest house, not a hotel. If you're travelling from the north (the main 4 highway), as most will be, it's a surprisingly long journey because the road over the mountain is so twisty - allow 45 minutes. It's an absolutely glorious drive, but probably best negotiated for the first time in daylight.

Review 2：This is a lovely family run B&B in a beautiful old house right on the edge of the forest. Within 2 minutes, you can be hiking one of the many forest trails, or feeding ducks in the beautiful adjacent park. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and terrific value for the cost. Breakfast (which is included in the price) is served in a garden room, and comprises an interesting smorgasbord type buffet that is a welcome change from the usual brotchen (rolls) and cold meats - although these feature too. Interesting little salads, some smoked fish and unusual cold meats and cheeses are the order of the day, along with a fascinating range of out-of-the-ordinary homemade jams (and cereals/yoghurts for the less adventurous). On our second morning we were served boiled eggs from a local supplier who feeds his hens such an organic-rich diet that the eggs were the size and pale blue colour of duck eggs - scrumptious. Note that as this is a B&B, there is no option of an evening meal. However, this isn't a problem, as there are a number of restaurants within easy strolling distance. Apparently the owner will also prepare you a packed lunch if you're planning to go hiking on some of the glorious trails in the area (just be realistic and give some advance notice). Probably the best value for money accommodation we've come across in Germany in years, and highly recommended!

Review 3：It didn't bother us, but there were no heavy curtains, so somepeople might wake up early because of the light. Also, we didn'tknow Bad Liebenstein is essentially a tiny place full of hospitals andrecovering patients. Nevertheless, this way we didn't feel guiltyabout relaxing too. :-)

Review 5：It's not a disadvantage but something to take into account: the village is best suitable by car. Wartburg is 20min drive, hainich forest is 40 min drive, gotha is also 40min drive. (Thuringer wald is outside the hotel!) However the roads go through beautiful forests over small roads.

Review 6：It's one of those hidden pearls. I'm always very nitchpicking about everything, but this hotel has nothing to complain about. Very friendly staff. Very good room and bathroom. Very good breakfast. Beautiful village at the base of the thuringer wald. I would recommend it to everyone. The hosts really do their effort to make the stay as pleasant as possible and it shows off!

Review 16：Everything! Start with its gorgeous hosts to amazing breakfast, fabulous room decoration, relaxed friendly atmosphere and picturesque surroundings. You could not ask for more! We also got some tips where we should visit while in neighbourhood and we were not dissapointed. You can tell the owners take pride and good care of their property and it's guests! We would like to take this opportunity to thank you once more for fantastic time we spent under your roof! One suggestion: the wi-fi password could be left on a room.

Review 17：Wonderful welcome.This Villa surpassed its description. Delightfuly decorated and funished in modern style whilst retaining the old world charm of beams. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff attentive and helpful with local information.The addition of the bar with fridge was very welcome in the heat.(at very reasonable prices)
