Reviews for Hotel Luxa
Review 1:Very central with tram stop outside. room and bed clean and comfortable.bathroom small. Ask for a room at the front nice to see trams as they make their way along
Review 2:Very basic hotel, you have a (old) bed, small rooms, very basic breakfast. Too much high rated for what it offers. I was disappointed.
Review 3:Its located in city center and that's all! For someone with car, its not convenient.
Review 4:The staff were unprofessional and at times out of their depth. Their English was variable and some were not trained to do basic tasks such as checking us out and operating the credit card process. The entry system to the hotel and our room, via a keypad, was unreliable and at times unworkable. The stairwell ponged. No safe available. No hot water jug available in the room. Expected better for a supposedly 3 star outfit.
Review 5:Not a lot. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel was situated very close to a tram stop - convenient. The room was spartan.
Review 6:A bit noisy with opened window(and you need it opened because od high temperaturw at this period); sometimea we didn't have internet
Review 7:Big room with comfortable bed and good bathroom! Very good location.helpfull and nice staff
Review 8:I didn't like that a cleaner in the morning came in to my room ,didn't cknok at my door, and same morning stuff came again and told me to check out quikly, but it was one more night left for me,so everything fine, its just need to be more acurat in this situations:)
Review 9:I did like that a stuff was realy helpfull.
Review 10:Lift is very small. 4 people with only small baggage can't fit together. Sound isolation (paperthin doors) is very bad. Reception located on 1st floor feels weird.
Review 11:Rooms are very nice. WiFi works perfectly and most importantly is available in all rooms.
Review 12:Price. 120€ for one night was really too much. Access: To enter the Hotel and also your room, you need to enter into a Pad a 9 digit code. Pad was not properly working and reception is closing at 22:30.
Review 13:Position and room confort.
Review 14:Very bad sound isolation, if you are not waking up early then you will get woken up anyways. WiFi is very unstable. Most times it is like you don't have internet at all though.
Review 15:Rooms are really nice, excellent location
Review 16:Hard to find. Location U1 in Mannheim is not self explanatory. They should definitely provide more details on parking and costs for parking. Credit card did not work in the evening and massive queue in the morning at the front desk.
Review 17:Nice stuff.
Review 18:Sometimes the non smoking room smelt like smoke. Very bad sound isolation. Was no scrambled eggs at breakfast.
Review 19:Location, breakfast, rooms, WiFi sometimes acted weird, but overall very good for Germany
Review 20:Numerous times I contacted the reception regarding payment for two bookings for colleagues requesting payment to be taken from the company credit card, yet they never even responded! Even after calling up, I was told to email so I did, still no response!
Review 21:Close to the conference venue.
Review 22:No air conditioner in the room. On Sunday breakfast started not at 6 a.m., but at 8 a.m. No one told us in advance about that.
Review 23:The location was good (in the center of the town, 2 parkings are nearby). The staff was friendly and responding to our requests. Breakfast was tasty and various.
Review 24:no air-con, one pillow and one set of towels for a double room with two people. reception closes very early
Review 25:great location, great value, perfect for travelling around the city as tram line is literally outside the front door
Review 26:- Access control via pin pad didn't work out at the first time; subsequently every trial worked out though
Review 27:+ Good location + Modern equipment in the rooms + Spacious room for the price
Review 28:A bit complicated to get used to the pin-style key system. But it worked fine in the end.
Review 29:Clean, large room, nice shower, all that is needed.
Review 30:All was correct, in all aspects.
Review 31:no thing
Review 32:perfect hotel and nice staff
Review 33:Breakfast was not included in the price, which was not that low.
Review 34:The room was big and clean, with independent heat!
Review 35:difficult with parking, it took me some time until I found out about that plastic coin.
Review 36:everything was ok.
Review 37:wifi, location
Review 38:code instead keys, clean
Review 39:Hotel at first floor, but with elevator. I arrived at night andthere were no towels in the bath. The doors opening system (insteadof the key) is not user friendly and the staff does not give youenough information and gets angry if you insist in not understandinghow to use it.
Review 40:In the center, room big enough for the cost, clean bathroom, easyuse soaps.
Review 41:Doors are locked by means of a fingertouch keyboard that is hard to operate. Calculate with a couple of minutes to get into your room!
Review 42:Very clean, silent, carpet-less, smoke-free rooms with good matresses and high-speed wi-fi.
Review 43:There is no staff after 10pm, the key codes for the hotel main door and rooms is annoying and hard to use. I was locked out of the hotel under the rain for about 1.5hrs and was lucky that I didn't sleep outside in the rain, tried calling the hotel until I had no charge in my phone but nobody picked up.
Review 44:Its very close to the City and train service.
Review 45:By arrival we got a room that was already occupied. The next appointed room was a single room (French bed) and we got asked if we could not share that bed with the two of us (we are tall people). Next appointed room was okay, except for the bathroom having no curtains, (1st floor, streetside). Finally we got a good room (after going out for dinner first). The deskclerk took his time and we had the third room after 1 hour of waiting, not to mention dragging our luggage from floor to floor, from room to room. Appearantly on a weekend check out is at 8AM, as is breakfast. (On booking.com it stated 7AM). So we had to hurry to be on time for work at the expo. I'm sorry to say but we will never book this hotel again.
Review 46:Pretty expensive for what it offers, but probably it was a busy period in Mannheim (beginning of the semester at Mannheim University). The entrance in the hotel and also accessing the room by a code are a bit strange.
Review 47:The room was big, nice and clean. Free wifi. The staff was helpful and friendly. After we checked out, we could let our luggage at the reception for a couple of hours. The location is also good, in the city center.
Review 48:Problematic internet connection on the room. At booking.com was announced that internet is on the room, but I had luck it even worked.
Review 49:So silent green area with amazing view and room cleanliness.
Review 50:The hotel has the worst service. The front office is in the 1st floornot at the front, you have to take the stairs to reach it which is badwhen you have a big luggage. The staff rarely answer you & they if youdo not ask them to clean your room they will not do it or change yourtowels. If you order something they will forget and you will have to getit yourself from them, or they will answer by go to the shop nearby andbuy one ( water kettle). The worst place to stay in only if there is noother place in the city.
Review 51:I did not like anything about the hotel.
Review 52:The room was too bright. The curtains were not enought ot make the room dark. It was soo bright that you could see colors in the "darkness". That is the only reason I didnt enjoy my night... I could not sleep due to the lack of darkness in the room. The bed was good, it was relatively quiet, but not dark enought to sleep. Sleeping masks would have helped me, but I wasnt prepared for that.
Review 53:Bedroom was clean, good bed, ok pillow, bathroom was clean and with the basic needs (soap, hot water, towels..)
Review 54:Not exactly best neighbourhood of Mannheim (but certainly not the worst).
Review 55:All staff (reception, cleaning, breakfast, etc) was very friendly.
Review 56:Breakfast could be better for the price
Review 57:Very good location. Clean and comfortable room. Nice staff.
Review 58:Staff and welcome - lack of information about the closing of the hotel -non-opportunity to get a breakfast - opening of the doors
Review 59:The code locks were complicated.
Review 60:The staff was super friendly and very accommodating.
Review 61:They made a mistake and told me my husband had not arrived when he had. Panic!
Review 62:Friendly , helpful reception staff
Review 63:Noise of doors
Review 64:Easy to find, Comfortable Room, Good Size, Cleaned Daily,
Review 65:* Horrible key-code system, changed everyday at 9 am without notice
Review 66:The price is too high. Internet and breakfast must be paid.
Review 67:It is very clean.
Review 68:Excellent location right in the centre of the city in the middle of everything.
Review 69:Good price. Central. Clean. No fuss.
