Reviews for City Partner Augusta Hotel

Review 1:Walls and door are a bit thin. Could hear other guests. It is not possible to open the window as the noise from the street could be a bit loud. Luckily when it's closed nothing can be heard. The room is small.

Review 2:Great Location. The room is adequate and clean. As its bathroom. Staff is correct. Good value for money.

Review 3:Initially was given a very small room where it was difficult even to walk. After complaining was I shifted to a better room for rest of my stay. Internet connection was free only for 30 mins - needs to be updated frequently.

Review 4:Location and accessibility.

Review 5:At little spartan and a little ways from the city centre, but one can take a bus from the front of the hotel or a street car about 2 blocks away.

Review 6:Very clean and quiet. Good air conditioning. The staff was very helpful. Sufficient free parking in the adjacent neighborhood.

Review 7:Located in peacefull district. Just a short walk and you are in the city center. The room is quite large with tea facility, which is good, especially if you know that the the nearest bakery is 10 steps from the hotel.

Review 8:Paid wifi is costly. Most hotels now have at least a computer station in lobby or a hot spot.

Review 9:Easy walk to city center, ample parking in area without cost. Pleasant restaurant, outstanding breakfast. Very nice staff.

Review 10:Ridiculous to charge for wi-fi. I was offered several free 30 minutes codes which was enough for me but still, it should have been free. Even though I only stayed 1 night and check-out was at 12, I was woken up by the cleaning lady at 08.00.

Review 11:I was given a free room upgrade as well as a free early check-in, very appreciated! The room was beautiful, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. I would stay here again!

Review 12:Nothing much, restaurants/bars/cafes, next to the hotel.

Review 13:A standard place with a bit of Soviet feeling. But clean and comfortable. 15 min walk from the station.

Review 14:I did not like that I could not have really free WiFi. In my country, even in the most distant and isolated places you can get free WiFi all the time.

Review 15:Everything was fine but WiFi. I received credentials for half an hour free WiFi per day, but this is not a solution.

Review 16:On a week day morning the early birds had most of the cooked breakfast and what remained was past its best (09:15hrs)

Review 17:The hotel lay-out is excellent, due to its size all facilities are close at hand, but not cramped. The reception is well staffed all speak good English. The bar was run by a very smart polite young man, in a very professional but welcoming manner. The room that I had was spaces, the quality window allowed you to shut out the traffic noise. The bathroom was immaculately clean and well lit. The breakfast room was very nice, with plenty of different types of breakfast*

Review 18:The bathroom was old fashioned, the shower tray and curtain were not comfortable, the water could not be properly regulated with cold and hot water coming out randomly. Also the whole hotel stank of tobacco smoke and penetrated our room which interrupted my sleep, I had to use my asthma inhaler a lot. For these reasons we cannot stay here again.

Review 19:Staff were very helpful and friendly! The restaurant was good and staff again excellent.

Review 20:Street parking a problem if you arrive late in the evening.

Review 21:Good location; no need to drive into city from motorway. Clean, functional, efficient. Does the job. Friendly staff.

Review 22:We was late arriving at hotel on a Saturday evening appx 7.45 pm, to find out that the hotel restaurant doesn't open at the weekend or the hotel bar!! Was told by reception this was "due to the amount of restaurants close by". We ventured out to find 3 restaurants/bars across the road from hotel, of which one was closed! :-(

Review 23:Pricey

Review 24:n/a

Review 25:Staff was helpful and friendly. Hotel was close to both city bus and s-Bahn.

Review 26:It's far from the city center and Hauptbahnhof

Review 27:Nothing bad

Review 28:comfortable rooms

Review 29:The room was too warm. No airconditioning. Only Smaĺl fan which is useless. Small useless frig.

Review 30:I

Review 31:Bad parking possibilities if you travel by car.

Review 32:Cleanliness, comfort, friendly personell.

Review 33:clean room kind staff good breakfast

Review 34:Dobre położenie, miła obsługa. Polecam

Review 35:The breakfast was too expensive.

Review 36:The heating on room was a little bit weak. But not so serious! All other stuff is perfect!

Review 37:parking was a hassle but had expected it reading previous reviews

Review 38:stayed two nights, had speedy wifi, breakfast was a variety of choices

Review 39:parking situation

Review 40:hotel was very well located near the autobahn. Staff was friendly and room was very comfortable and quiet

Review 41:Liked the fact that the hotel is only a few minutes away from the city center. It is clean and the staff is friendly.

Review 42:The hotel was very clean, comfortable and with very nice people working there.

Review 43:Would like an option to check out later in the day (1400) instead of 1100.

Review 44:Location & free parking.

Review 45:Excellent Staff and service. No hiccups. Room was clean and well maintained.

Review 46:The day we arrived, there was a marathon in the street in front of the hotel. I don't know if the place is always crowded like that day, but it was a little difficult to find a place to park the car.

Review 47:The staff was very good and the room was clean. The location is Ok (only a little far from the city center).

Review 48:It was difficult to part car near the hotel (no separate parking), Wi-Fi is free for 30 mins only and 1 device and didn't worked well.

Review 49:Good location (not far from city center).

Review 50:2 beds pushed together for a double isn't comfortable at all.

Review 51:The reception staff were absolutely brilliant. So helpful with anything we asked A* Service. Room was bigger than expected very clean ok decor. Clean nice sized bathroom. This hotel is all about the staff! Hotels in the UK should take note the German way

Review 52:Internet and breakfast are very expensive

Review 53:Huge windows which can open fully, but also when closed they completely black out the sound of the road. Friendly staff Nice location, easy to find and 5 mins walk from centre of town

Review 54:The second time we visit this hotel. Second time was even better then the first. The more because w've got a free update to a more comfortable room as booked. Great !!

Review 55:Streetside rooms are disastrously loud, despite double glazing and shutters. With no air-conditioning one had to decide between noise and oppressive heat (Mannheim summers are not cool). We had to stuff clothes under the door to stop the huge amount of smoke in the corridor wafting into our (non-smoking) room. The desk staff member was rather rude - something I've never had in any other hotel in Mannheim.

Review 56:Breakfast was ok, I guess. The place was clean, if you don't count the smoke.

Review 57:The hotel itself is a very nice one: the facilities are excellent, and I liked the old house in which this restaurant is, and it thus deserves my wholehearted recommendation. There is also good Greek restaurant opposite to it.

Review 58:Only comment was that the entrances are not wheel-chair friendly. We had a wheel-chair in our group and luckily had enough of us travelling together to lift up and down the front steps but access would have been more challenging for a smaller group or solo traveller.

Review 59:Friendly and helpful staff, clean and well managed - it is rated 3 stars but felt more like a 4 star hotel then some of the 4 stars. Was a slightly longer walk to city and station than other hotels but the overall management and facilities made up for this. Some nice restaurants across the road and close to a park for morning jog. Overall quite impressed and would stay again if in Mannheim.

Review 60:Difficult to find the parking, you need to check in first as they willgive you the location and key of this one. Old fashion hotel, typicalGerman one from the 60/70. Payment of internet

Review 61:Close to center of Mannheim

Review 62:The hotel locates near a bus station. Taking a bus to the central station costs 6-8 minutes - walking is not a good choice. If the price includes breakfast it will be a little better. Somehow noises has come out of the heating.

Review 63:We came to visit the university of Mannheim and the city Heidelberg and stayed there for 1 night. At first we received a room with two beds, so that we required for a room with a double bed. The stuff was very friendly and changed us to a double room. The room had a large bed and a clean and comfortable bath. Even two small packs of snack were provided. It was a little cold in winter and as soon as I called the reception, they have changed the temperature of the heating. Conclusion: Clean, Comfortable, Friendly staff and good service.

Review 64:Small single bed against the wall, woke up several times at nightbecause I bumped against the wall as the bed was so small.Rooms was quite old and had a hint of cigarette smoke. Shower not great. Breakfast is very good, like in most German hotels, but was not included in price and relatively expensive (€ 15).

Review 65:Low price.

Review 66:No parking space. Entrance difficult for the disabled.

Review 67:Good size bedroom. Well located close to the center of the city and tothe conference area. Easily found.

Review 68:At the time of booking I didn't find the price for breakfast. After paying I got the information and I considered it quite expensive.

Review 69:Staff was very nice, location was good, and the room big enough and nicely decorated.

Review 70:Very efficient, polite, and comfortable, conveniently located for arrival by car, bus connection to the city centre, or a relaxing walk in the nearby most beautiful Luisenpark.

Review 71:No air conditioning in the rooms, making them very warm and stuffy. Afan is supplied but really isn't enough to combat mid 30's heat. Also, the wifi is not free.

Review 72:Wonderful failities! The room was cleaned on a daily basis, there wastea making facilities in the room, as well as a little packet of gummybears left on the pillow each day. The bathroom consisted of a sewingkit, nail file, shoe polish to name a few. Really excellent facilitiesthat surpassed any other 3 star hotel I've stayed in.

Review 73:The staff were very friendly and the rooms exceeded our expectations. Our room was on the main street so the traffic was a bit noisy. It wasvery warm, the the hotel provided fans. I had requested a double room, but needed 2 extra beds for my children. They provided the beds. Ithought the room would be very crowded, but it was still spacious. Myonly complaint would be that breakfast cost 15€ per person. We were intown for a wedding and wished we had more time to explore the city. Itwas very beautiful.

Review 74:Old and small TV; impossible to turn off climatization (only with request on reception); non-free Wi-Fi

Review 75:Great location near to centre; good ratio price/value; fresh+clean+quiet room; air condition; fridge, comfortable bad; pleasant staff, free parking...

Review 76:Unpleasant misunderstanding took place: the hotel took money from ourcredit card for using a minibar (juice, Coca Cola, whisky...) withoutthe notice; we from a minibar took nothing.

Review 77:The good hotel which is quite corresponding to declared level.

Review 78:My only complaint was that the pillow was too soft and too big. Iprobably should have told the staff at the time.

Review 79:This hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The staff were so helpful andpleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable and the fact that there were actualkeys instead of cards was a welcome change. Room was comfortable andbathroom well designed. It's about a fifteen minute walk to town butthere's a bus outside the door. There's three restaurants across theroad. I can rec the Italian and the Indonesian. Both had good food.

Review 80:No airconditioning in the room

Review 81:Good hotel with comfortable rooms, good wifi and very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Great price/quality ratio

Review 82:The location and the price

Review 83:The room was spacious, clean and equipped with a minibar and a kettle. Convenient location for visiting both city centre and the SAP Arena.

Review 84:Location OK but a bit away from the centre.

Review 85:Comfortable room good breakfast, helpful staff

Review 86:Liked the location and the friendliness and helpful staff.

Review 87:Location.

Review 88:Great room

Review 89:Very dated rooms.

Review 90:Not far from the city centre, people were nice.

Review 91:Helpful staff. Child-friendly hotel. Taking into consideration the special needs oc the customers. Ideal location.

Review 92:everything food - breakfest was good comfotability - good desk office and hotel team - good

Review 93:Smell of new refurbinishment

Review 94:Room is spacy

Review 95:Very friendly staff - we got a free upgrade because there was a techno event in the city and some young guests might enter the hotel a little late.

Review 96:Perfect for car parking, clean, friendly

Review 97:Breakfast was not included in the price of the room and it was expensive (15 eur/person).

Review 98:Comfortable and clean and well appointed with nice touches.

Review 99:Simple two night stay on business. Only used for sleeping. No problems, easy to reach and park.

Review 100:Lovely hotel about 10 minutes walk to city centre. Very friendly andhelpful staff.Would highly recommend
