Review 1：It is a little outdated and had a bit of an odor - could use a little refresh.
Review 2：Location was great - right on the river; was nice to have a little balcony overseeing the river. A 10 minute walk to/from the train station.
Review 3：The only negative was the bells. I am a very very light sleeper and the church bells sound every quarter. But once the windows were closed I did not hear them. The double glazing is excellent. I only mention them, so if you too are a light sleeper, I would recommend ear plugs, which I had forgotten to pack.
Review 4：We had booked a double room in the guest house but found that we actually had a small apartment, without the kitchen. It consisted of a bedroom area, a sitting area with couch and coffee table, and TV. The bathroom was nice, although the hot water arrangement was "different", in that there was a heater and you had to change the setting from basin to shower depending on where you wanted hot water. But not a problem, just quirky. Staff were incredibly helpful. Breakfast lovely. A really good start to our holiday. Would really recommend this hotel.
Review 5：Breakfast was very sad, and bathroom extremely small, especially shower cubicle. Didn't appreciate being told I shouldn't bring wine into the hotel that was purchased elsewhere as they sold wine themselves. 1st time any hotel has mentioned that. And yes that event spoiled my whole stay.
Review 6：Hotel was typical European and was in a good location on the Rhine and easy to locate. Given there were no laundries in the town Sonja one of the managers did a load of washing for us for a small fee. Certainly very grateful.

Review 15：Our room had a balcony overlooking the Rhine and the view was excellent. Lunch on the balcony from the local supermarket went down very well. If you were into freight trains you could watch them for hours passing on the opposite side of the river. We spent a happy couple of hours on the sun terrace at the back of the property too. The staff were very friendly advising on local restaurants and the best way of travelling around. All together a great place to stay in Boppard.

Review 25：The staff spontaneously offered to make an upgrade on our reservation by using a room with a view on the Rhine with a discount. Very kind and welcome staff, who speak fluently English and even French. Position of the hotel just a few minutes of the historical centre and a few meters of some good restaurants with decent prices. Easy to park around. Good breakfast. We recommend it !

Review 29：The previous owners did provide an opportunity for a light meal in the evening - this now seems to have been discontinued. This is a pity because some people like to stay in the hotel in the evening after being out all day.
Review 30：Whilst Mr and Mrs Sunthimer have retired the Hotel is being looked after by their daughter and son in law who are continuing the good work of the previous owners. The atmosphere on arrival is very friendly and the waitress at breakfast remembered us from previous visits. She has been there fro twenty years so must be well looked after by the owners.

Didn't bother us most of the time but just sometimes kept us awake. Breakfast would be nice with some hot food occasionally (bacon or scrambled egg?) and hot toast. A boiled egg was available each day but it needs toast.

Review 81：Everything was perfect. We stayed for a night and had a room with river view balcony. The staffs were very nice and friendly. Perfect location to take a stroll along Rhineallee. Only a kilo meter walk to reach the chair lift station. Overall I really enjoyed my stay in Garni Gunther. Definitely value for money.

Review 85：I was on a business trip with my Secretary,we had two double rooms,at a price reduction for single occupancy. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly and helpfull lady on reception,who even moved her car in order to give us a parking space, she also reccommended a very nice place for supper. The rooms were spotless,with most picturesque views. In the morning we were greeted by the proprioter,a most charming and helpfull Gentleman. The Continental Breakfast was excellent and inclusive,my secretary carried on working with her i pad at the dining table as I like to take time when eating,we actually sold something,so internet connection is very good. During my life as an Antique dealer,I have travelled extensivley and in recent years tried to stay in small friendly Hotels,this has everything that one would want,in fact I may have left my ipad headphones there,a good excuse to travel from England to collect them ? most definately YES !

Review 100：A family owned hotel situated in a prime location over looking the river. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are simply decorated, very clean and quiet. Our room had a river view and had a balcony with table/chairs - ok we didn't use it in December but it would be lovely in the spring/summer. They are happy to sell you a bottle of wine(or multiple bottles) and charge a very reasonable price (no hefty mark-ups here!). A reasonable buffet breakfast was included in the price.
