Review 1：My wife and I arrived very late (or early morning) so I contacted the hotel to arrange for my sister to check in and receive my key. On entry to our room, there was garbage on the nightstand, the bedding was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, and all towels were dirty -in short, the room had not been turned between guests, even though we had called reception twice to discuss our arrival and check in. Since it was 0330 and reception was closed until later that morning, we held our complaint until breakfast. After discussing it with reception (requesting a new/clean room and the previous night free of charge), they were not willing to admit that the room was dirty, but they agreed to clean it (what?). I contacted Booking.com to discuss our complaint. The Booking rep discussed the complaint with the hotel owner, who offered us a 50% discount. We accepted the discount and returned to inspect our room. We found it to be dirty still (housekeeping has fluffed the dirty pillowcase, folded the dirty bedding, and replaced the wet/dirty towels so the room had the appearance of being clean). I asked the Booking rep to request free cancellation (the hotel normally charges 80%), and the owner allowed it -I suspect he was happy to see us go.

Review 2：While using the Booking.com customer service rep as an intermediary with the hotel owner, the hotel owner handled a poor situation well and was willing to let us cancel our reservation without a fee. The hotel is also well located, in the center of Ernst, and has a beautiful view of the vineyards across the Moselle River Valley.

Review 3：Not really very suitable for families with young children, though. The room was small, there was no additional baby cot, as requested.

Review 5：The room was very small with sensor for the light in the bathroom that stayed on for 15 minutes every time you entered the bath room (also during the night). As the door was from glass this light kept you from a good sleep.We complained about this and they told us this room was a "test case" and they already received a lot of complaints about this room. But they did not fix the problem! The food à la carte was not good.

Review 8：The location of the hotel was brilliant, overlooking the Moselle with a fabulous view. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the appartment was lovely - clean, attractive and spacious. We particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfasts.

Review 9：The hotel is great and the restaurant and bar too but if you fancy a change for a night you'd have to go to the next town (5km) to get to a bar or other good restaurant. At least for younger people (below 40y).

Review 10：The staff was very friendly and always with a smile. The spa facilities were surprisingly spacious. The model landscape is just great to hike and walk.
