Reviews for Royal Resort

Review 1:no complimentary wifi no frigobar no bar open on night - hard to find some drinking water during night

Review 2:10 min footwalk from las vegas convention center, 5 min from northern strip, wynn hotel

Review 3:Excellent location just on 5 minutes walk from the Strip, a nice lobby and a nice room, helpful and friendly stuff, good value for money. Thank you for a nice stay in amazing Las Vegas, all in Xmas charm.

Review 4:The hotel location was easy to get to. The bed was comfortable. The room was huge with a refrigerator. Old school TV, no free wi-fi in the room but this hotel was a great value. We only stayed one night and I would stay here again.

Review 5:The room didn't heat well . The last day of stay i pulled up the spread at the end of bed and it had a stain on it. looked like someone did there business and it was not me .

Review 6:it was quiet

Review 7:The room was pretty bad. The curtain was broken, the other side of the curtain was torn so the light came through. The lamp next to the beds was broken and the only other one the bulb was blown i called the desk they sent maitance and he took the lamp next to the bed out and said hed bring another one the next day well he never did. I will not book there again.

Review 8:The room wasn't ready when we arrived around 8:30 pm. Waited almost an hour to get into the room and still found the room in need of cleaning.

Review 9:The bed was comfortable and the room was good sized.

Review 10:The concierge is at the hotel only 3 days a week so if you need him for something you need to wait. We also were looking for tickets for the Beatles Love show and we were looking for the best value tickets. The concierge sold us the tickets and assured us those tickets were category B when in reality they were section D. He lied to us which is unprofessional and disappointing.

Review 11:The room size was perfect and the queen bed was confortable.

Review 12:It always smelled like Marijuana in the hallways when we got out of the elevator and when i told the front desk their response was"what do they expect, it's Vegas it always smells like weed here" and they laughed at me.

Review 13:When booking.com messed up my reservation and wouldn't fix it, the staff of the hotel did. They were very helpful.

Review 14:The carpeting in my room and in the hotel hallways was awful! Very old, stained and in general disgusting to look at. Also my shower head and fixtures were rusted.

Review 15:Very friendly staff. I loved the funky decor in the lobby. Overall the hotel itself was big and for how old it is was nicely kept. It had a good vibe!

Review 16:I only stayed here for a few hours literally. I needed to sleep before my flight. It's not the ultimate Vegas experience but its walking distance to the best casinos. If you're looking to just sleep in your hotel, than this is the place for you.

Review 17:Check in GREAT. comfy beds. Easy location out of traffic. Could shampoo room rug! Give a coupon for 50% off two drinks at lounge located in hotel. Took 2 days before I knew we could go there

Review 18:The heater was broken and they sent engineering up FOUR times to fix it. We nearly froze to death and it was miserable. I slept with my coat on. The carpets are ragged and the room smelled. There is one pot of coffee in the lobby for the entire hotel and it was always empty. I normally dont write negative reviews but this hotel needs attention and they need to educate their staff and empower them to solve problems.

Review 19:The front staff are generally nice but not sufficiently trained to solve problems. The Hotel is well located and it was available when most other hotels were sold out due to the rodeo. It is not the worst hotel I have stayed in, and I understand it is not the Bellagio but it was not particularly cheap either and they could do better.

Review 20:The room was very noisy. There was a fan type sound you could hear in the bathroom 24/7 and a buzzing noise at night. Property needs some fixing up.

Review 21:The price for a Saturday night was really reasonable for a time share property I expected it to be nicer. The housekeeper was very friendly.

Review 22:The first room I was put in smelled of complete sewage. The second room, the light wasn't working, the unused towels had dirty brown stains, and there were cockroaches in the room. I'm not only disappointed in the hotel because of the staff and everything that was wrong with it, I'm also disappointed in the website for not being more sympathetic seeing that I used their website and the hotel they offered on their site for the celebration of my 21st. Never again will I use this website or stay at that hotel.

Review 23:Location is in walking distance of the Strip and restaurant. It was quiet with not a lot of traffic noise. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Would stay there again.

Review 24:Location is the only thing we liked there.

Review 25:Good location close to the Las Vegas strip. No Free WiFi and $10 per day is not really something should be charged this day in age as even the smallest motel gives free WiFi. After all rooms are expensive too and who would want to be charged for WiFi?

Review 26:Booking.com didn't send my reservation the resort had to call for them after I tried to check which didn't give them enough time for my special request. After driving from Los Angeles in the cold didn't leave me in a pleasant mood. Receptionist were also made very uncomfortable and in a bad or unpleasant mood trying to fulfill request at the last minute

Review 27:The receptionist at the front desk was very accommodating to my needs and request

Review 28:My door lock did not work. Location did a poor job to address the issue. I was very disappointed with this experience. Since it was a Sunday morning their manager was not on duty. I put in a formal complaint on their website and still have not heard from them about the poor service I received. As I mentioned earlier, my door did not work. My family and I could not get in my room. The front desk contacted the security to assist me. The security agent was too busy blaming my family for the door problem and then said he would return - after 30 minutes, I went downstairs and found he had left for the evening. Very unprofessional.

Review 29:Front desk staff were decent.

Review 30:The room wasn't nothing like the pictures shown online. No shuttle bus. Very noisy throughout the night. Kept waking me up.

Review 31:Allowing us to check in early

Review 32:The toilet ran intermittently all through the night. There was a big stain on the carpet that made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the room, especially the bed! When I went to check out the next morning, I approached the front desk, where two women sat, looking down (probably at their phones). Neither looked up. I said excuse me and they both looked up. I didn't know which of them to go to, and one said, in a very surly manner, "I'm look RIGHT AT YOU. What do you want?" That left a bad taste in my mouth.

Review 33:The location is convenient -- a half block off the Strip, with some reasonably priced restaurants and shops directly across the street. Plus the price was right for a one night stay.

Review 34:Shower didn't drain properly.

Review 35:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was good since it was a short walk to the strip. Nothing fancy but clean and served its purpose well.

Review 36:Bar was shut down. The restaurant was also closed for a private event. Only open for dinner. It would be nice if the bar was open when the restaurant is closed.

Review 37:Carpets are nasty. I know they are clean but they look dirty. Carpet in the room was sagging. The ones in the hallway are worn out and sagging as well. Last time I stayed in this hotel was in the 1990's and I believe they still have the same carpets. Hair dryer in one of the bathrooms was not working. Bathroom light fixture was missing a light bulb. I'm 6 feet tall and the shower heads were installed for children. They need to install goose neck shower extension pipes. I have one at home and it elevates the shower heads. Beds where comfortable were stained. They were old. Lastly, woman that checked us in seemed to be in a bad mood. Never smiled or made eye contact. Not good!!!

Review 38:Location 10 minutes to downtown, 5 minute walk to the Venitian hotel and Circus circus. Value $149 per night for a two bedroom two bathroom suite that sleeps 6.

Review 39:Looks a bit tired, could do with some freshening up. Had to pay for Wifi which was expensive and limited to one device ?

Review 40:Good value. Good location just off the strip, nice and quiet.

Review 41:Friendly staff, helpful, walking distance to SEMA. Will be returning to this hotel again year after year, because of the wonderful staff and walking distance to SEMA.

Review 42:Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. We go to Vegas every year for SEMA. This hotel was in walking distance. We will be staying there again next year for that reason and because of the wonderful staff. Can't wait too see you all again ?

Review 43:No negatives.

Review 44:Walking distance to convention center. Staff is friendly because it is a smaller hotel. Easy parking. Peppermill is very close and best continuous restaurant in Vegas. Also a local Dennys for smaller portions.

Review 45:THE STEAK HOUSE IS VERY EXPENSIVE ,BUT GOOD FOOD AND THERE IS NO OTHERCHOICE IF YOU ARE TO STAY AT HOTEL AND EAT. HAVE TO LEAVE AND TRAVEL NOT TOO FAR. JUST A MINOR PROBLEM

Review 46:CLOSE TO CONVENTION CENTER. WE WERE ATTENDING THE SEMA SHOW. VERY GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY. I AM NOT A GAMBLER.

Review 47:At first view the room didn't seem clean, but that's because it is a bit outdated.

Review 48:Front desk personnel was very friendly and helpful. Beds sleep comfortable. Hotel is close to the Strip.

Review 49:The room was not well taken care of. The trash was not always emptied, and the previous guest's soap was left in the shower. Ew.

Review 50:The location was great and the staff very friendly.

Review 51:They charge for WiFi. They take $100.00 from your credit card even if you prepay for the room. It takes forever to get the money back on your card. There is no breakfast of any kind. I would have come out way ahead if I had stayed at another property and just paid for parking at the convention center b

Review 52:Close to the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Review 53:No negatives!

Review 54:Spacious, well-appointed room, very comfortable bed. Lovely spa and pool area. Conveniently located just off the Strip. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.

Review 55:Checked in an hour after check-in time & room still wasn't ready! Yet we were still given the keys. Finally when we were able to go in our room it was not all that clean Hair still in the bathtub n trash under bed! Hallways also were filthy. Pictures very deceiving!

Review 56:Maybe location. Not great but not bad either.

Review 57:The only thing we didn't like about the resort was no free Wifi in your room, and for that reason we would never stay there again.

Review 58:It was clean and comfortable, close to the strip. The room had everything we needed. Liked the outdoor pool.

Review 59:I didn't like the balcony was the size of my foot. I got locked in the bathroom and the maintenance pushed it open but it still didn't lock.

Review 60:I like the location it was perfect walking distance to the strip and the bus came right there.

Review 61:The person who greeted me was dismissive and made me wait without a word while she did paperwok and filed something. The room was a dumb and the lock on the sliding door was broken. Someone easily could have gained access. The toilet ran constantly. The carpet was filthy.

Review 62:The location was perfect.

Review 63:Some of the Stores by the hotel were kind of sketch, but it's Vegas,so expected.

Review 64:Hotel room was large, clean, and had a fridge & microwave. Lobby was clean and I loved the vintage decor! Location right by convention center and a Ross.

Review 65:Place could do with some upgrades. Things like threadbare carpets, old-model TV etc. Also, the refrigerator didn't work (well, the wall plug didn't, but we didn't know it was that until the next day.)

Review 66:Staff was wonderful. The location was perfect and just what we wanted. Enjoyed the pool area and pavilions.

Review 67:The outlets on the lamps did not work.

Review 68:The room was great comfortable bed mircowave fridge.great and friendly staff. Very quiet because no casino.close to everything .resturaunt across the street is very good.i will stay again..Thanks staff for been wonderful.

Review 69:Charge for wi-fi. Rooms a bit tired. Beware when providing credit card for $100 pre-authorization at check-in. Returned home to discover my credit card had been used fraudulently.

Review 70:Good location and value for money. Good size rooms. No resort fees.

Review 71:Nadda! For $48 a night it was way better then the stratosphere hotel that charged $87+$20 daily fee!

Review 72:To everyone putting this place down! Shut up! This place is bad ass for what you pay!

Review 73:The beds are getting old and should be replaced. I was disappointed to see that high water use toilets are still in use; low water use toilets are so cheap these days and so much more friendly to the environment!

Review 74:It was very easy to catch buses to any part of Las Vegas you wanted to go to from the Resort.

Review 75:The attitude was very poor from the front desk. What 1 manager said about a late check out was not honored by the other manager and she made me feel like I lied and was being dishonest. Obviously no notes in my room file. On that incident alone I will not stay at the Royal again.

Review 76:Old TV. Balcony but security system of balcony door was very shabby. No breakfast. In front of a parking lot, not the best view. Far away from all the other big hotels.

Review 77:Easy check-in. Nice front desk staff. Big parking space but not covered. Spacious room.

Review 78:It isn't the nicest hotel in the world, but again, for the price, it was a great value for those who want a good place to sleep for the night and go out and do other things.

Review 79:For the price, it was totally worth it. It's close to the Strip. Front desk person at 12 midnight was very cordial, efficient and nice.

Review 80:There was construction going on across the street that they did at night. Couldn't sleep because of it. That was horrible. It wasn't the hotels' fault.

Review 81:Walking distance from the convention center and there were shops and restaurants in the area.

Review 82:No free wifi.Keys sometimes out of order and need to be reset.

Review 83:We have four persons occupying an ambassador suite. The room is large and clean. The hotel is close to the Strip. Good value for money.

Review 84:Balconies not available at the poolside. No wifi.

Review 85:Carmen Fernandez was a great receptionist. Coffee from 09.00-11.00 for free. Beds were great. Nice pool.

Review 86:Staff didn't seem too welcoming. Maybe they had a long hard day, but at least make an effort to be a little more lively/inviting.

Review 87:Location was great as it was near restaurants and shops and they were easily accessible. Loved the room where we stayed at because of the scenery. The lobby was clean and beautiful. Liked the pool/hot tub (hardly any people! :)).

Review 88:Walls are super thin our neighbors shhhee us who don't stay stay up late in Vegas

Review 89:Location has walking distance to liq store some restaurants and bus stop

Review 90:They said it is located at the strip, but that is not totally true. You have to walk for 10 minutes to be at the actual beginning of the strip.

Review 91:Swimming pool was good

Review 92:Although our room was a good one the only problem we encountered was theinter connecting door as it wasn't sound proofed in any way and wehad a couple of young excitable girls next to us that loved to partywhich this hotel is not geared up for. It was quite embarrassing as wecould hear every word they said. Music could be heard too. If this doorwas sound proofed then none of it would have been a problem and wewouldn't have lost sleep.

Review 93:This was a clean, comfortable hotel without the noise of the largerhotels. It had no casino so quiet and better suited for the moremature. There was a Dennys and a supermarket very close by which camein very handy. Local bus stops are close by too. The pool was a goodsize . Everywhere was clean. Very good value for money. Staff were veryhelpful too.

Review 94:This hotel is old and run down, no amenities except a vending machine a few floors down. Even at $25 a night it would be too much!

Review 95:Staying on the top floor minimized the night time construction going on all night.

Review 96:Its need an update.plugs on the lamps did not work.looking out to a parking lot.

Review 97:It had what i need for my 3 nights stay.microwave fridge. Coffce maker.comfortable bed.staff were great.

Review 98:Friendly & helpful staff looked after special requests. Balcony access to outdoors. Very easy to access from the convention centre with convenient local shopping.

Review 99:I loved the location, for the money I don't think you could get more central to the Strip. I expected a Motel 6-type place but this was considerably nicer looking, a semi-high-rise and generally swankier than a Motel 6. The staff was very nice, helpful and professional.

Review 100:the hotel is declining in its appearance in the last 9 years I have been coming to this hotel. Carpets are dirty, not enough pool chairs for guests, rooms are cramped.

Review 101:the location is close to the convention center

Review 102:Hall carpet terrible. Old, tired elevators. Really needs updating. However, price pretty much reflects hotel condition.

Review 103:Nice pool. Ok Room. Friendly, helpful staff.

Review 104:I like the location, the price was affordable, the staff were friendly and helpful. The staff who clean the room were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you

Review 105:Manager on duty when we arrived quite rude, staff not overly helpful.

Review 106:Location was great away from hustle and bustle and close to old and new Vegas. Rooms were a great size - we had two full sized rooms for 3 people so it was awesome.

Review 107:Concierge staff wasn't very willing to help...we requested a non smoking room because of my allergies and they gave me the worse room in the smoking floor with dirty sheets and very dirty carpets the bed mattress was lopsided and they couldn't help me right away because I didn't book through them I could hardly breath my first night and they didn't switch my room till the next morning. By then I was already too sick to enjoy Vegas :(

Review 108:Location, is separated from Boulevard. The street of the hotel looks unsafe in the night. They charge 100$ as deposit, also when the room is already paid.

Review 109:Comfort of the bed.

Review 110:carpet in room was un-swept and filthy .hair on bathroom floor ,light bulb out ,,private balcony was only 12 inches wide ,no safe in room, no micro wave, carpet in hallway filthy,

Review 111:Water power was a little weak but it seems that a resignator was placed on the shower for water conservation.

Review 112:The Superior room was a great deal, we liked the space, a clean room as well. We like selecting Royal Resort for it's close to everything within the strip and other areas.

Review 113:The room looked rather old-fashioned to me and was very cold. I tried adjusting the A/C but only got so far (in all fairness, I didn't reach out to a member of staff, and I'm certain they would've corrected it quickly enough). Next to the door, there were two light switches or something else that didn't seem to do anything (possibly broken). There was no central light in my room, just a few lamps, so it got pretty dark in the evening.

Review 114:Great location close to the Strip and next to a bus stop, had a double room to myself, staff was friendly and allowed me to store my luggage after I checked out - I was traveling alone (I'm in my early twenties, and a woman) and felt safe while staying there.

Review 115:location. It's a little far away from the Cassinos areas (MGM and Madalay Bay for example). You can drive or walk though. It's not too far. But if you're looking for action, avoid this hotel.

Review 116:Cost benefit. If u don't wanna spend a lot of money with hotel, this is your choice. The rooms are pretty honest and decent. There's no Cassino in the hotel, which means you can have a very silent night of sleep.

Review 117:it says 800m to the strip which is true but then on the strip it will take forever until you get to the main part. We took the bus, paid wifi while literally every other establishment offers it for free

Review 118:Luxurious pool plus spa, supportive staff, comfy bed, free parking

Review 119:Wished they had better toiletries in the bathroom. They only provide shampoo and not conditioner. Wish Barrymore's was open later. Wished they had free wifi.

Review 120:Loved the location as I had to be at the Las Vegas Convention center daily. Loved the fact that the pool area was open until midnight. Loved that it didn't have a casino. And Barrymore's is beautiful and exceptional.

Review 121:It was close enough to the convention I was attending to walk. The only hotel I could find that was under $200 for the days during the convention. Can't complain too much.

Review 122:The room wasn't what was shown in the picture and it wouldn't hold 4 people and you couldn't see the strip like the picture show you could

Review 123:Nothing ee

Review 124:It was a pity that there was no free wifi.

Review 125:The suite was quite large so there was plenty of room for four people. There were 2 bathrooms, and the suite was equipped with a microwave, coffeemaker, and fridge. Also you could was and dry your clothes in the hotel for just a few dollars. Our kids loved the swimming pool.

Review 126:I didn't like being woken up at 2.30 in the morning by the automated fire alarm telling me to evacuate.Room on the 7th floor was worn and shabby.Especially just before long flight to UK. chain should offer money back if not good nights sleep.

Review 127:Hotel is convenient for strip

Review 128:Bad Customer Service, point of sale did not work I could not use my credit card for pay I had to use all my cash to pay roon and warranty deposit and did not give me options that changed all my fun planes a tottally bad experience

Review 129:Staff at the front desk was strange. Maybe not rude but definitely strange. WiFi was not free and if you wanted it you needed a debit or credit card.

Review 130:The Juanita suite was perfect for the 5 of us.

Review 131:No free WiFi? That is a standard in all hotels. Pretty inexcusable. A continental breakfast is pretty much a standard too. Only 25 channels on TV. Stuck in room? Better have your own entertainment.

Review 132:Able to print out boarding passes.
