Reviews for JUFA Hotel Röthelstein
Review 1:We loved the ambience of this hotel and the views overlooking the small town of Admont. Breakfast was served in the old kitchen with a hearth as big as half the room and the ventilation hood even bigger. It was amazing that it was still intact. Our room in the tower was actually a suite with a large sitting room and an upstairs bathroom. We took half board and received a 4 course meal for 15euro. It was a fabulous find.
Review 2:Something is wrong with the plumbing. At night there where loud noises from the heat pipes going to the radiator. Impossible to sleep! Mold in the roof if the showers.
Review 3:Very nice and helpful personnel.
Review 4:The only negatives were that the wifi connection was a little spotty in the bedroom - but we were IN A CASTLE, so I don't feel like that's a legitimate complaint. Also, the dinner was buffet style, and the food wasn't all the great. I think it would be really wonderful if they took advantage of the romantic setting and had a more formal dinner option available. But still - everything was great and we'd definitely come back!
Review 5:What a gem! We stayed in a turret of a castle! We had a suite, and the bedroom was located upstairs in the turret, while the little living area was in the main entry, and the bathroom was up the stairs on the other side of the suite. The bed was very comfortable and we had a killer view of Admont, the Abbey, and the countryside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The castle has a ton of historic rooms that you're free to roam about - the original chapel, kitchen, ball room, and several other ornately decorated and historic rooms are well worth seeing. There's also a sweet little cafe downstairs with comfortable chairs and views where we spent a lovely evening. There are outside seating areas to take advantage of the view, but unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there. We really, really enjoyed this stay!
Review 6:It is an interesting old building. However it completely lacks charm as it is set up as family hotel, with dining occurring in a big covered courtyard which has a slightly barracks like feel - but it is a genuinely old and fine building, worth a visit if you are travelling with children or a group--a bit desolate on your own.
Review 7:The disabled facilities gave the room an almost hospital-like atmosphere. Breakfast from 7.30 for business travellers too late.
Review 8:Location with stunning views, nice place. Single room was adequate. Straff very friendly and helpful.
Review 9:family apartements are located in dependance of the castle in an ordinary house. not adviced or mentioned in booking.com offer. sugest to change and be transparent.
Review 10:sleeping in the castle is an extraordinary beautifull experience
Review 11:At reception staff are not always there and bar area had to wait 10 minutes or more to get served as there were no staff present
Review 12:Location and value for money courteous staff
Review 13:This was not unpleasant, just curious : the bathroom is up some staurs, but in the same apartment. The castle and the hotel are outside city limits and a bit difficult to find at night time.
Review 14:Very good room, the heating of the room was also very good, the breakfast next morning also very good. The lady receiving us at the reception was extremely friendly, even changed a light ball for us.
Review 15:In my room the gratis wifi did not work properly but dowstairs it did work fine. Probably a repeater which was not settled well, might be accidently that day but all others things where super !

Review 17:Actually.....nothing!
Review 18:Wonderful location high on the hill. Quiet at night for sleeping. Windows to open for fresh air. Spacious room with a feeling of being in an old castle. The half board dinner was fabulous! The waitress was outstanding.
Review 19:Nothing everything was outstanding .
Review 20:We stayed in suite 108, huge room with windows all around to show the exceptional stunning views of Admont below and snow tipped mountains, a place we will never forget. The 4 course dinner was fantastic and extremely cheap, breakfast was full smorgasbord will food to meet all tastes. Staff friendly and welcoming. A amazing place to stay and the price was cheaper than small Pensions elsewhere. Fantastic !

Review 45:A real nice conversion of a chateau up in the mountains outside Admont. Great staff. Sitting outside with an evening beer taking in the view was wonderful.
Review 46:Snowed overnight so had anxious time descending the narrow steep access road. You must have good car and winter tyres to access in wintry conditions.
Review 47:Spectacular location, hard to better anywhere. Excellent value. Very good breakfast

Review 52:On bicycles, so would have preferred Schloss not to have been half wayup mountain.Had read many reviews and none comented on this. Was a bitof a struggle after a day's cycle and also meant once there, would notbe returning to village below. Having said that, location and atmospherewas beaufiful.
Review 53:Friendly staff. Beautiful location (even though we had to push our bikeshalf way up mountain to get there). Clean, comfortable rooms - withexcellent view.
