Review 1：You are paying for location at this hotel. Hotel/rooms are ordinary in my opinion. We stayed in a Best Western the next night with better room for half the price.

Review 5：Instead of my booked double room, the hotel provide a smaller business room without a bathtub, without of informing the guest. On the second day of my stay, I went to the front desk to told the mistake to the reception staff, she neither gave any sensibly accepted reason, nor changed the room on the spot.

Review 12：The staff was friendly and very helpful, the room was large, great TV, very nice environment, the breakfast was excellent. Very nice artworks in the lobby.

Review 13：Only one small trivial complaint. Check out time is 11:00 and with the change of clocks for day light saving time, we lost an hour. We were just moving our baggage out of our room at 11:05 (after informing management we would be slightly late). Cleaning staff were hovering outside the door waiting for our departure. This is not how a 4 star hotel should be!

Review 14：The Bregenz area is great and this is a fantastic jumping off point to explore lake Konstanze. Unfortunately we were just passing through this time, but we will be back.

Review 15：Reception works only until 10 pm, which is a bit inconvenient. Also the hotel restaurant was closed for the whole week and that was a real bummer :( One day we were woken up very early by the sound of repair works inside the hotel :(

Review 23：I would recommend the hotel and look forward to returning. It was very clean, helpful staff, lovely patios, and all furnishings were in excellent condition. I liked that it was one block off the noisy main road so it was quiet at the hotel, even on the terrace. It was a 5 minute walk to the harbor and numerous restaurants.

Review 88：Modern and functional did = "characterless" to some extent. A super overnight hotel but without a great deal of personality. We were surprised that Hotel Germania deducted the cost of our room on booking - six weeks or so before we were due to check in!! Luckily we could! The only time this has ever occurred in the many times we have booked through Booking.com.

Review 89：The hotel is of modern design and in an excellent position on the edge, but within easy walking distance to, Bregenz centre. There is highly secure parking on site. Hotel Germania is functional, comfortable and very clean. Our bedroom and bathroom were spacious and calming. We ate an excellent evening meal in the hotel restaurant, which is reasonably priced. Breakfast was good - varied and very fresh.

Hotel is located just a short walk to the downtown areaand easy access to the park next to Lake Konstanz. There is norestaurant in the hotel but they do serve a normal Austrian breakfast.

Review 96：Only 15mins free internet, but the charge for 24 hours is quite small. It's quite expensive for this type of Hotel. They allow smoking in the reception area - seems strange these days, but that's Austria!

Review 103：Initialy I booked the demi suite, but I was upgraded and got a fantastic suite, which in fact was a big design styled appartment. It was a great surprise and made our stay very comfortable, especially during rainy days. Very helpful personal, speaking English and even French perfectly (Jorgen). Excellent restaurant (european cuisine and not only local) , though choice was not very large.

Review 104：The only thing which let it down for me was the lack of air conditioningin the room. This was a problem, considering it was 34c outside!Although the hotel was very good, I don't think it warranted a four starrating. Tea and coffee-making facilities would also have been a niceaddition to the room, considering that most places have them as standardnowadays. If the weather were milder I would stay again, but not if itproves to be this hot for next year's festival.

Review 105：The food and service were impeccable. The staff were very friendly andobliging. I had both dinner and breakfast here and both were utterlysuperb. The food was fresh and flavoursome and the menu was varied, withmany local specialities such as fish from Lake Constance. Even if Idon't stay here again I would certainly eat here again. The price ofdinner was very reasonable - around 30 euros per person for threecourses a la carte (not including alcoholic drinks). The room was quietand although the bed and furniture were basic (and a little old-fashioned), it was comfortable. The bathroom was also very spacious witha good shower.The hotel is only a ten or fifteen minute walk from the opera festival and a five minute walk from the seafront, where there are boat tours and a supermarket, not to mention a wealth of restaurants and bars.
